Good test - thumbs up!. I was talking to someone about doing the same. What they said was: you can run the refrigerator for much longer than the rated time. (1) Don't open it unless you really need to, (2) plug it into your generator once every 3-4 hour for the compressor to run and to keep it cold, and (3) keep your generator topped off of during the daytime with solar (you'll need to run a longer PV/Solar wire from the outside to your solar generator).
Yes. This fall, in the PNW, we lost our power in a bad storm for 14 hours. We had no backup power (which is why I'm researching power stations now). It was about 18ºC inside our house. We didn't open our fridge or freezer at all and everything was fine inside after 14hrs with no power. The ice cream did not melt at all. So, good advice to unplug the fridge for a few hours and only connect it to the battery occasionally. Of course, your mileage may vary if you're in a hot climate and the fridge needs to run more.

During storm season I rotate frozen water bottles (1.5l works well) from the freezer to the fridge (1 per shelf) and this reduces the power usage even further, plus, having a layer of frozen water bottles on top of the chest freezer (or one in the front of each drawer for the upright freezer) helps keeps stuff frozen for longer in a blackout :-) also you don’t need to have the fridge/freezer on all the time. Just a couple of hours in the morning and evening from the Bluetti plus the frozen water bottles can easily double the length of battery life…but funny how the American Bluetti 180 has four PowerPoints but in Australia they only have two 🤔 still, loving the peace of mind it brings coming into cyclone season. That's because the US operate at 120V and we operate 240V. So they can run 4 plugs with the same internal specs that we can run 2. Having said that I purchased and use a 10 amp powerboard to extend the sockets should I need it, solves the issue.
Yes, these units are so nice. I have the AC200MAX and been running my Off-grid trailer with 12V fridge, lights and fans running for over a month now with no problems. I have 300W of solar powering through the day and it has really changed the game in camping for me. Great video!

I have the AC180 and used it to run my fridge during Helene. We lost power for 2 days. This unit ran my apartment size fridge for 8 hours. Luckily I had a friend who still had power so I was able to go to her house and recharge it multiple times til my power came back. Next year I'll buy a 12v 100ah LiFePO4 battery to use as a backup for the AC180 to double my run time. Overall I love this power station and I got it when it was on sale for $499. Just be realistic about what it can run and for how long.

Most modern refrigerators have a multispeed compressor. The compressor will pull from about 45 watts to 65 watts when in normal run, then somewhere over 100 to 150 watts when in super cool mode. This is all automatic. The refrigerator will pull about 350 watts when it goes into defrost It will defrost around 20 minutes, twice a day usually. What you have to watch is the surge watts that a refrigerator compressor pulls when it starts. Lots of smaller power stations can't handle the surge. The surge watts is usually about 6 times the super cool run watts. To be more accurate on the surge watts, just look at the nameplate on the refrigerator and find a reading that says LRA. LRA stands for Lock Rotor amps. This will give you the surge amps. Just multiply the LRA amps by the running voltage of the refrigerator and this will give you the surge watts. Example: If LRA amps = 7.5 amps on a refrigerator and the Voltage is 120 volts, then multiply 7.5 times 120 and you will get 900 watts and this is the Surge Watts of this Example refrigerator.

Watching this review while at home with no power due to Hurricane Berly. I have a small Jackery 500 and small EcoFlo 600 These worked well for a short amount of time. However I need more power. I thought I was prepared because it’s been years since I have lost power this long. Now I’m trying to learn more advanced things I need to do to ensure I have more than enough power for my house.
Bluetti is the best! We have the AC180 as well and went through hurricane Milton. Lost power for 4 days. It was super easy to set up the solar panel and charge it. We were able to keep one of our deep freezers alive on a rotating schedule. Was even able to have a small fan at night. We saw how well ours performed that we went ahead and purchased the AC200L before our power came on. Now, we can save more and be able to tolerate the heat even more so next hurricane comes through

My plan is to use the ac180 and 200l during the night and use a small generator like the champion 2500watt dual fuel ( reviewed on my channel) to charge it during the day and power the fridge and other items during the day and then go back to the Bluetti at night. I purchased 2 AC180’s. I also recently purchased 2 Jackery’s. 1 jackery will power up a 55” Tv, cable box, a few lights and 2 Verizon fios boxes. Will run those for 10hrs on a full charge. I hook up the other 1 to an espresso maker (priorities) a tv, cable box and lights. Plan on using these for electric blankets and backup for the others. I like that I can hookup and use as a UPS so I’ll never have a hiccup with internet service. I have used a jackery on a toaster oven and was able to make a chicken dinner.

I might purchase a small gasoline inverter (honda 2200) to charge the power stations in a pinch. When we lost power for 13 days during Hurricane Sandy, gas stations were closed, so we can't solely rely on a gas generator. I live in NJ and im sure there are skeptics out there that dont belive these drones exist. Come on over, we have power lines and a pond about 500' away and they hover over that area. Who knows why? Rather spend a couple bucks and have electricity if our grid gets hit. I betcha all it's a foreign adversary.
Nice run through! Thanks very much ✨ We bought the Jackery Solar Generator 1500 1534Wh Capacity with 4XSolar Panels SolarSaga 100W, 3x110V/1800W AC some while back. It's irritating to see the prices drop like rocks after purchasing. Heck the price we bought at was good then too, but it got far better. Have a dual fuel and one that takes gasoline; but if the balloon goes up for a long duration, solar probably is the ticket. We hear good things about Bluetti (and others) but were thinking it might be smart to stay with Jackery as they play well together?

I bought a Licciti battery box Pro with a 280 Ah prismatic Lifepo4 cell battery which ran my traditional top fridge for 40 + hours. Whichever power station one chooses, they can save alot of of money and help if the grid goes down like the recent Houston Hurricane. Thank you for the video.

I think you need both a gasoline generator and a battery bank like this. It gives you the ability to save massive amounts on fuel by charging the battery bank and to operate without any noise. I definitely plan to get one but a larger unit.
YES ! MY THOUGHS ALSO. I JUST BOUGHT THE HONDA INVERTER 2200, AND WILL BE GETTING ANOTHER ONE THIS WEEK. I AM ALSO GOING TO GET EITHER THE BLUETTI OR JACKERY, PREFFERABLY IN THE 3,000 RANGE, AND POSSIBLY WITH A SECOND BATTERY. I was thinking about trying that with the system I have on order (AC180/PV200D). Are you running the radio on AC power or DC? I'm thinking of buying a 50-watt mobile unit that runs off 12v, but I'm afraid the 10-amp limit on the AC180 12v outlet might be a problem. Any info if you've tried it will be appreciated.

I bought it and tried it with my garage refrigirator freezer I added a 12,8v eco wothy 50ah to the ac 180 ran it for 16 hrs with 10 % left. I like this ac 180
I have 3 Batteries AC180 Anker C1000 and a EcoFlow River Pro2 call me crazy but I went crazy with sales. 3 so not to have extentions throughout the house but cover 2 -3 rooms the pro 2 is smaller easier to use daily if want. Not a camper, would like too though. Have for emergencies feel it will happen. Did once when Circ Panel went out 3k to replace took week with estimates. Get 3 + estimates First 2 6-7k Few outlets did work. In the meantime, to recoup few dollars will run TV off units every now and again. No lamps lights built into switches
I have the same idea. So far I have the Grecell 2200, on the way is a small ecoflow 300 watt and just for fun and cellphones I got 2 jackery explorer 100 plus,each 86 dollars. Last year I did get me a Westinghouse 9500 dual fuel but I will stick to the portable ones from now one. Now I have to get familiar with panels next
I do belive a full fridge with already cooled items help retain the cold temperature in the fridge. Especially when the door is opened and closed in normal use. The cool air will spill out but the cool food holds the cold.
The AC180 is still on sale and I would get it to keep inside my truck and use with my Ham radios. I see you are also a Ham radio enthusiast. But after I saw HOBOTechs review of the AC180 it is too noisy for Ham radios. Other than that it is a great small unit that packs a lot of features and at a great price currently.
Thanks for the video we spent the weekend in the dark we managed to get the power back. I spent every day trying to charge up my phone. We have to use pots on the gas stove it was very dangerous so I decided to invest in a battery solar setup.. I decided to purchase the 1,500 and they take off $500 on Amazon of this product. I would have liked to spend more but I just couldn't at this time. This would have helped a lot we had fans that we couldn't use in the house of 10 people at night was awful. . Thoughts and prayers for everyone that's lost their lives over the past few days.

This is what I bought the AC180 for, my house fridge. I also have an AC60 + two B80 batteries (a total of just over 2kWh) for the basement freezer (165W) as well. One added note, you could attach a B80 battery (or another LiFePO4 battery) to the AC180 Solar input to last that much longer or provide for a higher load with an added 806Wh. You can also plug your Solar panel into the B80 at the same time for added flexibility. Not everyone will have the exact same needs or configuration but it's nice to plan with a flexible solution.
@@Outdoor_Prepper From your test I calculate ~~13 hrs. total run time (to less than 5% remaining) on the AC180. Also, irl you wouldn't run your lamps ON all the time adding some minutes more; adding a B80 (in power-bank mode) would extend you to ~~22 hours so almost a full day of fridge operation. I would like to get the AC200L as well, it wasn't available when I bought the AC180, so that'll have to wait; adding a B300K expansion battery (or two) to the AC200L would be great to run a fridge for several days (as much as 6.6KWh). I have an AC70 coming from the Prime Days sale (priced too good for me to ignore). Thanks much for running this test. I watched it when first out and just rewatched to remind myself of the run-time you got.

My Bluetti AC200L is a 2048wh so I should get quite a few extra hours on my gen, im only worried about it being able to run throughout the entire night
You have it charging on silent mode @ 250 watts. You can charge and use it at the same time its called pass through charging. No need to let it rest that is what fan is for.
One question please. If using as UPS it kicks on when power is lost and I assume off when power comes back. , but once power comes back does it charge itself back up while supplies power to whatever.
Unfortunately we are a victim of hurricane Helene and our power at my house was off 63 hours. I own a larger 2500 watt power generator with an extra extension battery. Running my full size fridge, full size freezer, and tv and satellite receiver continuously plugged in, it ran 24 hours between charging. I recharged with an older model 3500 generac generator, I’m hoping to add solar panels later. I know I could have conserved power by only running my fridge every 2 to 3 hours and freezer 2 times a day but I wanted to see what it could do, needless to say I’m very very pleased. I think you will be too especially with added solar panels to charge in daylight.

just bought the AC180, it's on sale on the Bluetti website. I haven't received it yet But looking at the limited 10amp on the solar input is a little disappointing. I might just use batteries to fully charge the AC180 instead of solar.
Hi, I'm pretty new when it comes this topic, and I'm planning to buy 2 dual glass solar panels and these are the specs for each: Max Power Output(W): 200W Voltage MPP Vmp(V): 19.69V Current MPP Imp(A): 10.21A Voltage Open Circuit Voc(V): 24.08V Short Circuit Current Isc(A): 10.72A All I know is AC180 has 500W max input and VOC 60V, I'm not sure if these are efficient enough. @@dereklouster4283 you will exceed the amperage with just one panel.Max. solar amperage is 10 amps for the AC 180 10.21 amps is under ideal conditions. Im guessing you could get away with one panel
I’ve read every comment to try to decide whether to buy another Bluetti ac180 or the new jackery 1000v2. Right now oct 17th I can get the Bluetti ac180 for 380.00 because of a late delivery issue or I can cancel my order and use the jackery $40 off coupon on amazon for the 1000v2 which would be 460.00. I am so torn because I would prefer the lighter weight of the jackery yet I would have to buy an adapter to use my bluetti 200 watt panels on the jackery. I can not find which unit uses more power just being on both on ac or dc which would be a consideration and if either one stays on when a car fridge is not drawing power. If anyone knows these things, I’d greatly appreciate the answer. Also at the quoted prices which unit do you think would be the most beneficial. I already own 1 ac180 and it’s a good unit just don’t know if the jackery would be better?
I truly think the Bluetti is the better buy especially for that price. The main advantage of the Bluetti is that it is a lithium iron phosphate battery, NOT a lithium ION battery like the Jackery. The Bluetti battery is much safer and has a shorter recharge time and much longer lifetime and more charge cycles. I hope that helps some and thanks for watching!
Should I run my dometic fridge (with ice trays) from the Bluetti 12 v cigarette socket or one of the Bluetti’s 110 plugs. My older 500watt Bluetti just runs low to fast. Looking at a bigger Bluetti. Help. Or should I get the 180t and the Bluetti fridge with those plug in Bluetti battery

They should be able to charge it but you’ll have to check the connections and add up the voltage to make sure it’s within an acceptable range. I haven’t purchased them myself so unfortunately I’m not very familiar with them but the ac180 can really use any brand of solar panel. Thanks for watching!
I don’t know the rating of my fridge but I looked at the wattage being used on the ac180. It fluctuated from 15watts to just under 200 for short periods of time. Ultimately I did the test a 2nd time and got a runtime of 14 hours. I was very impressed! Thanks for watching!
@@Outdoor_Prepper try looking for a tag either on the inside or outside that may have the energy rating, if not I looked mine up online. Mine 2013 Samsung is 620 kwh year , and max watts of 610. Are they good by today's standards I don't know.
@@dsonyay I was able to run my window AC which is a Midea u shaped 8000btu. I think it really depends on the window unit though as I tried an older 8000byu GE unit and it couldn’t start it. The Midea is a newer inverter style ac and it worked fine although it only had enough runtime for 5 hours . Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
My biggest battle is that I don’t have heat or A/C even with these. Space heaters suck the life out of these in about an hr. I can’t find a solution for heat other than using the propane indoor portable heaters which I don’t like running (carbon monoxide risk). Any solutions welcome! I don’t like gas generators for a couple reasons; you not self reliant and gas is a pain. We lost power for 2 weeks during hurricane sandy and gas stations were closed because they could not pump gas and also roads were closed. As long as you have sun these will keep you going.

It’s not good to use eco if you’re powering a fridge bc it will turn off when the fridge is just resting with the compressor off and won’t turn back on. I have disabled eco mode
@@billz4795seems like eco mode is if you have very little load it turns off in a pre determined amount of time to prevent the battery from draining - eg: you leave a phone charger plugged in, unplug your phone from the charger and forget to turn off the unit. The 5w of power will eventually drain the battery especially if the ac inverter is on. I think they have it turn off to save you from running down unintentionally. I’m not positive - but that’s what I’m thinking.
These power stations are required gear for California residents due to the crappy power grid, skyrocketing electricity costs and the maniacal drive for EVs. Not to mention the power shutoffs due to 'safety'. 7/14/2024, Amazon Prime Deal is $549 for the AC180. I also got an additional 5% off! Hope this helps anyone make a decision. The Prime Deal pushed me over the edge and I have one on it's way.
im looking into getting this bluetti ac180 with a gofundme, and i can already tell that i will like this PowerStation you should also invest solar panels free energy because you will have unlimited power ONCE the sun comes out. and when the sun is staying up, you get the most out of your solar panels. why go and put a gas power generator outside during a rainstorm and having that sitting in the puddle, when you can get the solar panels yes, it may be worth the money, and all, at the end of the day, you will get the most out of the power the power generator of what you have currently, should you buy a solar panel? i would say yes, cause it maybe 300 watts of solar input, and thats well worth it, as long as the sun is out, you get free energy.

If you bought AC200L Why would you want the AC 180? Because you couldn’t have used the money to buy expansion battery for AC200L . You did make a good investment in Bluetti. I have 4 batteries and mostly use them off grid and solar panels to charge them. You are going to really like AC200L

You can buy 2 AC180's when on sale, for less than 1 AC200L. If you don't need one of the few features that the AC180 doesn't have why buy the AC200L? 2 power stations should, in most cases, be more useful.
That’s a good point - for something that power heavy, I’d use a champion 2500 w dual fuel inverter generator. Very quiet and more than enough power. Also small and relatively lightweight compared to a regular generator
Did you see the AC180T? They should have made the new AC240 with removable batteries like the AC180T because the AC240 is way too heavy! If you found the AC180 to be heavy, the AC200L may shock you as it is way heavier but the AC240 is just too heavy at 70lbs for the average person.
I actually have not seen that - I will check it out. The ac200l is pretty hefty as well, weighing in just over 60lbs. The handles do help though and are fairly strong.
Not trying to beat you up but, your refrigerator is empty. When it is pretty full it will be running more often due to the heat food generates as it decomposes. That is why food has to be refrigerated.
@@jamesthompson8975 you can use it to charge your phone to get some service to check manual - but it’s actually very straightforward to use. There is an app that connects with Bluetooth but you really don’t need the app. It’s basically a power button and a separate button for ac and dc. I’m very happy with it so far! Thanks for watching
When the compressor isn’t running, it very well could. Only takes a quick google search to find out: “Most typical fridges use between 100-400 watts. To find your fridge's wattage, just: Multiply the number of amps listed on the fridge's nameplate by the voltage (usually around 120). Then, because the compressor only runs about 30% of the time, divide the total wattage by 3. This number gives you the average running wattage of your refrigerator per hour.”
Technically it wasnt running the fridge that long. The compressor eas not on that whole Time.itvwiuod have been nice to see what the draw on the unit was when the compressor kicked in. Additionally,it looked like your fridgecwas nearly empty so when the compressor did come on it didntvstay on fir long as there was nothing to cool down keeping the fridge temp low. And.... U may have wanted to open the door a few times to simulate actual use instead of going to sleep. No doubt its a good unit but this easn not by any means an accurate test. Good vid and i will give u a like anyway. Be careful buying from amazon ,u will wind up with a return or a counterfeit!!
Very disappointed in my last two purchases with the AC-70 and the AC-180 unit neither of these units have WI-FI connection, Only bluetooth , what a foolish way to lose future buyers, today in 2024 and this company does not provide the most basic of connectivity, a disgrace.
I agree I wish they had WiFi although truly is not a dealbreaker for me as it’s not a requirement to use them. The larger ac200l has WiFi. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!

During storm season I rotate frozen water bottles (1.5l works well) from the freezer to the fridge (1 per shelf) and this reduces the power usage even further, plus, having a layer of frozen water bottles on top of the chest freezer (or one in the front of each drawer for the upright freezer) helps keeps stuff frozen for longer in a blackout :-) also you don’t need to have the fridge/freezer on all the time. Just a couple of hours in the morning and evening from the Bluetti plus the frozen water bottles can easily double the length of battery life…but funny how the American Bluetti 180 has four PowerPoints but in Australia they only have two 🤔 still, loving the peace of mind it brings coming into cyclone season. That's because the US operate at 120V and we operate 240V. So they can run 4 plugs with the same internal specs that we can run 2. Having said that I purchased and use a 10 amp powerboard to extend the sockets should I need it, solves the issue.

Yes, these units are so nice. I have the AC200MAX and been running my Off-grid trailer with 12V fridge, lights and fans running for over a month now with no problems. I have 300W of solar powering through the day and it has really changed the game in camping for me. Great video!

I have the AC180 and used it to run my fridge during Helene. We lost power for 2 days. This unit ran my apartment size fridge for 8 hours. Luckily I had a friend who still had power so I was able to go to her house and recharge it multiple times til my power came back. Next year I'll buy a 12v 100ah LiFePO4 battery to use as a backup for the AC180 to double my run time. Overall I love this power station and I got it when it was on sale for $499. Just be realistic about what it can run and for how long.

Most modern refrigerators have a multispeed compressor. The compressor will pull from about 45 watts to 65 watts when in normal run, then somewhere over 100 to 150 watts when in super cool mode. This is all automatic. The refrigerator will pull about 350 watts when it goes into defrost It will defrost around 20 minutes, twice a day usually. What you have to watch is the surge watts that a refrigerator compressor pulls when it starts. Lots of smaller power stations can't handle the surge. The surge watts is usually about 6 times the super cool run watts. To be more accurate on the surge watts, just look at the nameplate on the refrigerator and find a reading that says LRA. LRA stands for Lock Rotor amps. This will give you the surge amps. Just multiply the LRA amps by the running voltage of the refrigerator and this will give you the surge watts. Example: If LRA amps = 7.5 amps on a refrigerator and the Voltage is 120 volts, then multiply 7.5 times 120 and you will get 900 watts and this is the Surge Watts of this Example refrigerator.

Bluetti is the best! We have the AC180 as well and went through hurricane Milton. Lost power for 4 days. It was super easy to set up the solar panel and charge it. We were able to keep one of our deep freezers alive on a rotating schedule. Was even able to have a small fan at night.
We saw how well ours performed that we went ahead and purchased the AC200L before our power came on. Now, we can save more and be able to tolerate the heat even more so next hurricane comes through

I purchased 2 AC180’s. I also recently purchased 2 Jackery’s. 1 jackery will power up a 55” Tv, cable box, a few lights and 2 Verizon fios boxes. Will run those for 10hrs on a full charge. I hook up the other 1 to an espresso maker (priorities) a tv, cable box and lights. Plan on using these for electric blankets and backup for the others. I like that I can hookup and use as a UPS so I’ll never have a hiccup with internet service. I have used a jackery on a toaster oven and was able to make a chicken dinner.

@@GiGiGoesShopping Jackary Explorer 1000 plus 1264Watt hrs, 1800w. Costco has them on sale now for 699 with 100 watt panels. I ended up buying 2 200 watt panels. I might purchase a small gasoline inverter (honda 2200) to charge the power stations in a pinch. When we lost power for 13 days during Hurricane Sandy, gas stations were closed, so we can't solely rely on a gas generator. I live in NJ and im sure there are skeptics out there that dont belive these drones exist. Come on over, we have power lines and a pond about 500' away and they hover over that area. Who knows why? Rather spend a couple bucks and have electricity if our grid gets hit. I betcha all it's a foreign adversary.
Nice run through! Thanks very much ✨ We bought the Jackery Solar Generator 1500 1534Wh Capacity with 4XSolar Panels SolarSaga 100W, 3x110V/1800W AC some while back. It's irritating to see the prices drop like rocks after purchasing. Heck the price we bought at was good then too, but it got far better. Have a dual fuel and one that takes gasoline; but if the balloon goes up for a long duration, solar probably is the ticket.
We hear good things about Bluetti (and others) but were thinking it might be smart to stay with Jackery as they play well together?
The display on this bluetti does not display wattage for output below a certain point, but you can see the output from within the app on your phone.

I think you need both a gasoline generator and a battery bank like this. It gives you the ability to save massive amounts on fuel by charging the battery bank and to operate without any noise. I definitely plan to get one but a larger unit.

I was thinking about trying that with the system I have on order (AC180/PV200D). Are you running the radio on AC power or DC? I'm thinking of buying a 50-watt mobile unit that runs off 12v, but I'm afraid the 10-amp limit on the AC180 12v outlet might be a problem. Any info if you've tried it will be appreciated.

3 so not to have extentions throughout the house but cover 2 -3 rooms the pro 2 is smaller easier to use daily if want. Not a camper, would like too though. Have for emergencies feel it will happen. Did once when Circ Panel went out 3k to replace took week with estimates. Get 3 + estimates First 2 6-7k Few outlets did work.
In the meantime, to recoup few dollars will run TV off units every now and again. No lamps lights built into switches

I do belive a full fridge with already cooled items help retain the cold temperature in the fridge. Especially when the door is opened and closed in normal use. The cool air will spill out but the cool food holds the cold.

The AC180 is still on sale and I would get it to keep inside my truck and use with my Ham radios. I see you are also a Ham radio enthusiast. But after I saw HOBOTechs review of the AC180 it is too noisy for Ham radios. Other than that it is a great small unit that packs a lot of features and at a great price currently.
I haven’t used it with any radio equipment yet but definitely like it for backup power for my fridge, lights, and phone.
The best way to use this unit with radios is to get a lithium battery, connect your radio to the battery and use this unit to charge the battery.

We have to use pots on the gas stove it was very dangerous so I decided to invest in a battery solar setup.. I decided to purchase the 1,500 and they take off $500 on Amazon of this product. This is what I bought the AC180 for, my house fridge. I also have an AC60 + two B80 batteries (a total of just over 2kWh) for the basement freezer (165W) as well.
One added note, you could attach a B80 battery (or another LiFePO4 battery) to the AC180 Solar input to last that much longer or provide for a higher load with an added 806Wh.
You can also plug your Solar panel into the B80 at the same time for added flexibility. Not everyone will have the exact same needs or configuration but it's nice to plan with a flexible solution.

@@Outdoor_Prepper From your test I calculate ~~13 hrs. total run time (to less than 5% remaining) on the AC180. Also, irl you wouldn't run your lamps ON all the time adding some minutes more; adding a B80 (in power-bank mode) would extend you to ~~22 hours so almost a full day of fridge operation.
I would like to get the AC200L as well, it wasn't available when I bought the AC180, so that'll have to wait; adding a B300K expansion battery (or two) to the AC200L would be great to run a fridge for several days (as much as 6.6KWh).
I have an AC70 coming from the Prime Days sale (priced too good for me to ignore).

To simulate a power outage you should have plugged a cell phone into the DC ports. The DC inverter being on would use a little extra.

You have it charging on silent mode @ 250 watts. You can charge and use it at the same time its called pass through charging. No need to let it rest that is what fan is for.

Unfortunately we are a victim of hurricane Helene and our power at my house was off 63 hours. I own a larger 2500 watt power generator with an extra extension battery. Running my full size fridge, full size freezer, and tv and satellite receiver continuously plugged in, it ran 24 hours between charging. I recharged with an older model 3500 generac generator, I’m hoping to add solar panels later. I know I could have conserved power by only running my fridge every 2 to 3 hours and freezer 2 times a day but I wanted to see what it could do, needless to say I’m very very pleased. I think you will be too especially with added solar panels to charge in daylight.

All I know is AC180 has 500W max input and VOC 60V, I'm not sure if these are efficient enough. Thanks!

I’ve read every comment to try to decide whether to buy another Bluetti ac180 or the new jackery 1000v2. Right now oct 17th I can get the Bluetti ac180 for 380.00 because of a late delivery issue or I can cancel my order and use the jackery $40 off coupon on amazon for the 1000v2 which would be 460.00. I am so torn because I would prefer the lighter weight of the jackery yet I would have to buy an adapter to use my bluetti 200 watt panels on the jackery. I can not find which unit uses more power just being on both on ac or dc which would be a consideration and if either one stays on when a car fridge is not drawing power.
If anyone knows these things, I’d greatly appreciate the answer. Also at the quoted prices which unit do you think would be the most beneficial. I already own 1 ac180 and it’s a good unit just don’t know if the jackery would be better?
I truly think the Bluetti is the better buy especially for that price. The main advantage of the Bluetti is that it is a lithium iron phosphate battery, NOT a lithium ION battery like the Jackery. The Bluetti battery is much safer and has a shorter recharge time and much longer lifetime and more charge cycles. I hope that helps some and thanks for watching!

They should be able to charge it but you’ll have to check the connections and add up the voltage to make sure it’s within an acceptable range. I haven’t purchased them myself so unfortunately I’m not very familiar with them but the ac180 can really use any brand of solar panel.

I don’t know the rating of my fridge but I looked at the wattage being used on the ac180. It fluctuated from 15watts to just under 200 for short periods of time. Ultimately I did the test a 2nd time and got a runtime of 14 hours. I was very impressed!

@@dsonyay I was able to run my window AC which is a Midea u shaped 8000btu. I think it really depends on the window unit though as I tried an older 8000byu GE unit and it couldn’t start it. The Midea is a newer inverter style ac and it worked fine although it only had enough runtime for 5 hours . Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
My biggest battle is that I don’t have heat or A/C even with these. Space heaters suck the life out of these in about an hr. I can’t find a solution for heat other than using the propane indoor portable heaters which I don’t like running (carbon monoxide risk). Any solutions welcome! I don’t like gas generators for a couple reasons; you not self reliant and gas is a pain. We lost power for 2 weeks during hurricane sandy and gas stations were closed because they could not pump gas and also roads were closed. As long as you have sun these will keep you going.

@@billz4795seems like eco mode is if you have very little load it turns off in a pre determined amount of time to prevent the battery from draining - eg: you leave a phone charger plugged in, unplug your phone from the charger and forget to turn off the unit. The 5w of power will eventually drain the battery especially if the ac inverter is on. I think they have it turn off to save you from running down unintentionally. I’m not positive - but that’s what I’m thinking.
This thing is 90% efficent on dc and 89% on AC.

These power stations are required gear for California residents due to the crappy power grid, skyrocketing electricity costs and the maniacal drive for EVs. Not to mention the power shutoffs due to 'safety'.

im looking into getting this bluetti ac180 with a gofundme, and i can already tell that i will like this PowerStation you should also invest solar panels free energy because you will have unlimited power ONCE the sun comes out. and when the sun is staying up, you get the most out of your solar panels. why go and put a gas power generator outside during a rainstorm and having that sitting in the puddle, when you can get the solar panels yes, it may be worth the money, and all, at the end of the day, you will get the most out of the power the power generator of what you have currently, should you buy a solar panel? i would say yes, cause it maybe 300 watts of solar input, and thats well worth it, as long as the sun is out, you get free energy.

If you bought AC200L Why would you want the AC 180? Because you couldn’t have used the money to buy expansion battery for AC200L . You did make a good investment in Bluetti. I have 4 batteries and mostly use them off grid and solar panels to charge them. You are going to really like AC200L

3 so not to have extentions throughout the house but cover 2 -3 rooms the pro 2 is smaller easier to use daily if want. Not a camper, would like too though. Have for emergencies feel it will happen. Did once when Circ Panel went out 3k to replace took week with estimates. Get 3 + estimates First 2 6-7k Few outlets did work.
In the meantime, to recoup few dollars will run TV off units every now and again. No lamps lights built into switches
Weight and space
You can buy 2 AC180's when on sale, for less than 1 AC200L. If you don't need one of the few features that the AC180 doesn't have why buy the AC200L? 2 power stations should, in most cases, be more useful.
Mine runs my fridge at 45 watts but says only 9 hours of battery life? Ac180. Any ideas?
It calculates in real time so when the compressor in your fridge turns off the life remaining will go up. Thanks for watching

I thought I'd buy this to run my airfryer when camping, but with only around 30 minutes runtime, it's not worth it.
That’s a good point - for something that power heavy, I’d use a champion 2500 w dual fuel inverter generator. Very quiet and more than enough power. Also small and relatively lightweight compared to a regular generator

Did you see the AC180T? They should have made the new AC240 with removable batteries like the AC180T because the AC240 is way too heavy! If you found the AC180 to be heavy, the AC200L may shock you as it is way heavier but the AC240 is just too heavy at 70lbs for the average person.
I actually have not seen that - I will check it out. The ac200l is pretty hefty as well, weighing in just over 60lbs. The handles do help though and are fairly strong.
Not trying to beat you up but, your refrigerator is empty. When it is pretty full it will be running more often due to the heat food generates as it decomposes. That is why food has to be refrigerated.

I have both gas and solar generator. I can save a lot of limited gasoline for the gas generator. Why waste gas to charge a phone or smaller devices

Apps do not work with no power, read manual, know how to use it without phone
@@jamesthompson8975 you can use it to charge your phone to get some service to check manual - but it’s actually very straightforward to use. There is an app that connects with Bluetooth but you really don’t need the app. It’s basically a power button and a separate button for ac and dc. I’m very happy with it so far!

there is no way that big fridge only uses 40 watts. open the doors and let us see the temp.
When the compressor isn’t running, it very well could. Only takes a quick google search to find out:
“Most typical fridges use between 100-400 watts. To find your fridge's wattage, just:
Multiply the number of amps listed on the fridge's nameplate by the voltage (usually around 120).
Then, because the compressor only runs about 30% of the time, divide the total wattage by 3.
This number gives you the average running wattage of your refrigerator per hour.”

My full size fridge runs about the same 37-40 watts. As long as you don’t let it warm up before plugging in the battery pack, it will run efficiently.

Technically it wasnt running the fridge that long. The compressor eas not on that whole Time.itvwiuod have been nice to see what the draw on the unit was when the compressor kicked in. Additionally,it looked like your fridgecwas nearly empty so when the compressor did come on it didntvstay on fir long as there was nothing to cool down keeping the fridge temp low. And.... U may have wanted to open the door a few times to simulate actual use instead of going to sleep. No doubt its a good unit but this easn not by any means an accurate test. Good vid and i will give u a like anyway. Be careful buying from amazon ,u will wind up with a return or a counterfeit!!

Very disappointed in my last two purchases with the AC-70 and the AC-180 unit neither of these units have WI-FI connection, Only bluetooth , what a foolish way to lose future buyers, today in 2024 and this company does not provide the most basic of connectivity, a disgrace.
I agree I wish they had WiFi although truly is not a dealbreaker for me as it’s not a requirement to use them. The larger ac200l has WiFi. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
