I haven't had to change the oil in mine yet, but I would use a plastic meat tray that you get from the grocery store. It's sides are shorter than the pan you made, and it's wider and longer so should slip right under the unit. I may put small blocks of wood under the wheels on the opposite side from the drain. I also got a clean glass jar and poured .64 Qts (20.5 oz) of water in and marked the level with a sharpie. Then I poured out the water and thoroughly dried the jar. Then when pouring oil from a 5 quart jug, I just filled it up to the sharpie line.

When you get the propane tanks filled up from U-Haul or whoever they charge you by the gallon so you have more in the in take the tank but it cost you more. So you need to factor that in

Why don't you use a scale and measure how many lbs of propane used for one hour?

So tempted to get this... My 1500wh EB150 is fine for the majority of situations (i live in my van), but occasionally it still gets low and the range anxiety gets to me lol

You say don't use a prefilled tank. I say run a prefilled tank if you don't have a tank at all. If you compare the cost of buying an empty tank and then filling it, it would cost more. What you do is buy the prefilled tank if you have none then when that tank is empty take the label off the tank and have it filled. When the tank hits the 12 year mark by the date on the tank then exchange that tank again to get one in the 12 year expiration date. You never pay full price for an empty tank. I do this all the time.

A champion 2500 Watt inverter generator is supposed to run about 35 hours on propane at half power. Generators do put out a little less power on propane than they do on gasoline.

Just picked this one up for $799, I was wondering with it having a battery, does it make sense to try and connect a pigtail so that you could connect a battery tender ?

How long does it run on the propane tank(How many KG is the propane tank)

Regular octane fuel is cheaper that propane but when the temps are over 90 degrees my Predator 3500 inverter generator needs the high octane fuel to run right. We went camping in the summer and ran my AC on my camper all day and the generator was very thirsty. I think propane is the way to go.

I believe regulations state 85% full is the max for safety reasons. The manufacturer and model of the gas to proane adapter can make a difference in the efficiency of conversion.

That's really way better than I expected. In fact, I had almost decided not to buy it because I didn't think it would do the job. I realize it won't do my well pump, but all I need is lights tv a couple of deep freezers which are 110. I just need the basics.

first dump the adapter cable (good to have but not needed). run a quality surge protector there. (safety thing), use a rv power cable to your house. and use a input rv wall plug with cover. this way is somebody needs it more than you do... they can not use it. unless they have a 30 Amp rv. and anchor the unit to the concrete. to help keep it from growing legs.

I don't think anything beats a Honda, but most of us don't really need a Honda. Honda's are made to run food trucks 24/7 for years, most of us just need it for a few days every few years.

During storm season I rotate frozen water bottles (1.5l works well) from the freezer to the fridge (1 per shelf) and this reduces the power usage even further, plus, having a layer of frozen water bottles on top of the chest freezer (or one in the front of each drawer for the upright freezer) helps keeps stuff frozen for longer in a blackout :-) also you don’t need to have the fridge/freezer on all the time. Just a couple of hours in the morning and evening from the Bluetti plus the frozen water bottles can easily double the length of battery life…but funny how the American Bluetti 180 has four PowerPoints but in Australia they only have two 🤔 still, loving the peace of mind it brings coming into cyclone season. The Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) for this Predator model is greater than >3%. THD >3% indicates a significant distortion that can lead to overheating, reduced efficiency, and wear on equipment. Ignorance is not bliss and now you know!

What type of gas were you using? That might also be important if the unit is adjusting for octane like a car. Our generator only gets stabilized no ethanol supper.

I had a 4 D Cell flashlight that stopped working after 7 months of light use. Maglite would not warranty it. Never again!

I just found a 5000W inverter on amazon that will do 240V, tri fuel semi set up with a gas port ready, had to pass on predator, no 240V. DK 5000 by Dinking, they make generators for many companies, $999

I have two Champion dual-fuel generators, a 3400 and 2000. I use propane because it’s a lot cleaner and safer to run and store. Beats having one gas Honda any day.

You'll get about 4.5 gallons in a 20 pound tank, nobody is going to "top it off" and believe me you don't want them to.

I own two Champions, this one as my backup, backup generator, and a larger electric start duel -fuel that I use as our main backup generator. We just had a power outage and the regulator broke on my larger gen, so this little 2500-watt set came to the rescue! We use only propane.

You think that LP isn't going to gum up the carburetor? I'd like to know what you're smoking?! Lol

Good video thank you. So all electric stove use 240? is that because of the ovens? They and clothes dryers can not be run by the predator even if they are the only appliances being used? I am not familiar with the Harbor Freight stores, are they in Miami?

How can i turn this unit from 110 to 220V?? If there is a option ??

Shouldn't the refrigerator be connected to one of the red 20 amp circuits on the transfer switch, my refrigerator is connected to a 20 amp circuit breaker in my breaker panel, so I used one of the 20 amp circuits on my transfer switch.

I love how you assume that, in an emergency your cell phone and internet service will be functioning and you'll be sitting around the house with all the lights on. After hurricane Camille we had no electrical service or phone service for 9 months. Fortunately, we had an artesian well. Keep some quality tape around to place around the doors on the fridge and freezer. Candles never seem to fail like batteries. The nice thing about this new generation of inexpensive generators is they feature an easy way to daisy chain them.

1:15 Those prices are for suckers or people who have enough money not to care spending that much. The biggest cost is installation, and most people will not need more than 5K watt generator for essential items requiring electricity. Or maybe I just haven’t accepted the artificial price raising made up by people with all the resources, aka inflation.
