I bought a VW Transporter T6 Kombi Highline van 140bhp diesel SWB with tailgate.
I have lots more to do though, I have a new electrical system, using Victron components and a Lithium LIFEPO4 battery, so I obviously need to install some power devices. I have a new sound system, with Focal speakers and ibus 2.1 amp, Playstation PS4, which will be removable, TV's on headrests.
Lots for me to look forward too and it would be nice to take you on the journey.
Vanlife is amazing, get out and explore, it's a great adventure.

This is a game changer type of device. My van build is pretty complete with fridge and freezer but, if these devices had been available when I was building my van, I woud have icluded this for sure!
I think this type of device suits a Kombi / Day van really well.
I think it would be good if they did different sizes so they could be accommodated in the space a fridge/freezer fits in a camper
@@StaycationLifestyle if you get it before the conversion you could adapt your units to fit these as well. Maybe on a unit with chest opening beside a RIB 112cm seat ?
That’s amazing Tec but there won’t be much room in a Vw transporter and it adds to the weight as well

Agreed - it's sizeable old unit for a Transporter - even the LWB version.
It’s a great set up. I rang Bluetii last week and was told the fridge is not available in the UK and they don’t know when it will be either 😢
Why would you need ice in a chilled drink 🙈, get rid of the Ice maker compartment and have more room to chill more stuff. With all the gear you're getting you will soon need a bigger van.
I think I need a Crafter 😃
Personally I like ice in a drink, I know some people don’t. There is a good argument for more chill room though 👍🏼

I would love to see a video on the Alpicool fridge by LG its specs are almost the same as the Dometic rx50 only half the price. I keep thinking there is a catch. Whats your take on it?
Thank you. I have never done a direct comparison, however I’ve heard good things about their units.
Transporter HQ (who are reputable in the industry) have their own branded unit which is the Alpicool with LG compressor.
I will see if I can get 2 vans in summer to compare

Look closer at the specs and see the claim from BLUETTI which they state the reasons why it’s a World First. 🤷🏻♂️

Their products are reasonable against their competitors, but like all products they aren’t for everyone.
Should be noted that these are the more expensive LiFePo4 technology.
