Understand why you do the adverts, Mel. But that's not, in my opinion, as good as my Aferiy. Someone has to pay for all the giveaways, and that's always the consumer.
I have just looked into buying the AC70 on the back of this video Mel👍and at £519 including the discount it appeared to be a good deal.... that was until I checked the price in the US...over 100 quid cheaper at $499/£395! 🙄
Correct even in the shops in the USA the prices are inclusive of tax it’s really confusing especially when you go there on holidays it’s a shock at first you think wow every thing is so cheap until you go to the checkout lol 😂 👍
Hello and thanks for the review! I have a question: have had a chance to test the ac70 actual capacity? I have the same unit and, so far, it seems to deliver way less than the stated 768Wh. Which I was expecting. I know that it allows the battery to decharge down to 10%, so that's a 76 Wh gone, there should be about 10 to 15% of the battery capacity gone for the unit consumption. But, if I am not wrong, looking at the numbers on your screen and doing a bit of math, it seems like the actual usable Wh is around 480 Wh, which is what I came up with mine (more or less). I am trying to get in touch with Bluetti to figure out if that's to be considered normal.
On the point of charging your devices on the solar panel controller there are 6 terminals First two go the solar panel, the next two go to your Battery's the third two can be programable so when the battery get to say 12.6v it will switch on the third set of terminals then you can send two a small fuse box and wire your usb and cigarette ports when you have full battery's also can be timed so switches off over night (you will have to se what amperage you could use in the instructions)
My bluetti eb150 has been running my van for over three years . The only thing i have on while my diesel heater starts up is string lights but once its up an running you can plug other stuff in . Would love a 200max but will wait til my eb150 gives up the ghost..
Hi Mel,have you tried starting your diesel heater with nothing else drawing power.I was on the verge of ordering until it failed .It would be good if you could.Nice video though RegardsCJ
I've set up an exclusive £30 discount for you as a subscriber. The code is BVSWAC70, which is valid from 2nd to 26th February. Here is the link for you: bit.ly/3HImb9j If you have any questions, just let me know. Looking forward to hearing from you
Hi Mel..have you seen the new jackery coming..You tow it behind your vehicle and as it rolls down the road it charges up..not sure on battery size but I think a 2hr or 120mile trip tops it right up..Stay Safe..✌️ Ps..each to the own as far as Liam the who goes..!!
Looks like Bluetti have listened to the negative feedback of their older units, ie no external brick anymore and they’ve added the xt60 input but still lagging way behind EcoFlow, but I guess good for the price point
Hello friendly fella! I want to buy the ac 70 for mini van project but have a question. What is your opinion about charging the device non stop with solar panels while discharging in the same time, for example 12 v fridge and fan running continuously. I somewhere read it would be bad for the battery. Any thoughts on this? And what is the alternative? Would it be better to stop using the device completely WHILE it is charging with solar panels? Makes it less interesting because having to stop using the fridge or fan in hot countries for the hours of charging time, isn't ideal, because with a 200 W solar panel I believe it takes 5 hours or so.. Thank you!
This is from the user manual Q3: Can it charge and discharge at the same time? A: Yes. It supports pass-through charging. The AC70 comes with the premium LiFePO, battery and proprietary Battery Management System to ensure that it can charge and discharge at the same time. Hope this helps 👍🤓👍
Mel it's nice they give you them for free but it's certainly not a game changer. Lifting mode will destroy a microwave etc and is only good for items like heat guns or a basic hob and will only give you half of the power that will take twice as long to heat up It will certainly destroy you expensive products. It can't even run a 2kw diesel heater! They are good at what the do but they all have major flaws when using it as a dedicated power solution for van life.
Great video Mel :) I'm expecting that the AC70 would run your diesel heater once it has fired up and the glowplug has turned off ? If this is the case then could this be possible to start the heater when the van engine is running supplying 12v DC, and then switch over to the AC70 once it has warmed up ?
I want to know if I got rid of my ledger batteries and bought a power bank what size would I need because I don’t go clamping I only do campsites use the batteries for the lights and the pump that is it
Beware of running anything expensive with power lifting mode. It will be fine if it's under 1000 watts but will alter the pure sine wave when it's on and potentially destroy the power supply or worse.
At the risk of being labelled troll of the week.... Had you thought of auditioning for QVC? I could just see you pushing Liz Earl cosmetics 😜. Ironically you didn't heed the gas alarm alerting you to too much gassing about a bleeding oversized powerbank. 🤣🤣 ATB John 👍
You’re better off with a Series S as they only draw about 40-75 watts (streaming vs gameplay). Series X uses up to 150watts during gameplay. This would run the Series S for about 12 hours and a Series X for about 4-5 hours. With the TV it depends on the model
I remember when Mel insisted on keeping his lead acid and eventually moved over to a leisure battery. Would he have bought the ac200max if it wasn't for free. 😂 At the price of a decent lifepo setup they just don't compare
Welcome to the shopping channel
🚐☕️☕️👍🏼🏴🌈🙏🏼💙❤️💙❤️
Got to pay for the new van somehow 😂👍
Mel, when you had your laptop on you said you dont want to watch adverts, isnt that ironic ?
lol you got it 😂👍
I think with all your hard work you've earnt the right to do a plug and sure you believe in the product!
Understand why you do the adverts, Mel. But that's not, in my opinion, as good as my Aferiy. Someone has to pay for all the giveaways, and that's always the consumer.

But you can’t buy it for that price as it’s the wrong country and also this doesn’t include their tax which they add on top during checkout.
Correct even in the shops in the USA the prices are inclusive of tax it’s really confusing especially when you go there on holidays it’s a shock at first you think wow every thing is so cheap until you go to the checkout lol 😂 👍
Never mind adverts get on with bl**dy van build! 😂😂😂😂
Unfortunately it’s the advertising that make the wheels on the bus go round and round 😂👍
My 1 is coming between 19 and the 23rd I can't wait
E06 - Fan motor fault - Normally caused by low voltage.
Oh interesting thank you 🙏

Watching you read the Autocue was funny 😂
Great review as usual Mel
Thanks! 😁
I love your reviews Mel let's you know what you get for your money and how good or bad they are.
Thank you 👍

Another solar generator that only has a 10amp 12v outlet. Not really a van life device to plug in to a fuse box to run your devices.
I have a Bluetti AC200max with a 30amp 12v outlet and I’ve been using that for almost two years now 👍

Power to the road warriors 💪🏻🌞

Their customer service is much better than eco flow.
Another ace video sir 👍
Thanks again!
Blimey did you read all of that intro from the website.
But once you got into the practical testing very helpful.
Haha I did script it myself first time i ever done that thanks for noticing 😁👍
Honest review, which is good Mel.
I'll save my money 🤣

I guess that mean you need a much bigger power station than this unit.

That would be a great experiment 👍
Love the intro baby! 🥰
Thank you was a lot more work than usual but well worth the effort 😁🥰
Where have you been becci not seen you with Mel for a while ??
Looked a bit of a tough sell Mel. I suspect you won't be swapping out your AC200 for the AC70.
Thanks 🙏
Can I use any solar panel to charge it? Or does it have to be bluetti? I'm looking to get one of these! Thank you Mel!
You can use any make of solar panel
I want to know if I got rid of my ledger batteries and bought a power bank what size would I need because I don’t go clamping I only do campsites use the batteries for the lights and the pump that is it
Would this run a desktop computer okay?
Yes 👍

Haha I’ll forgive you this once 😂👍
Hi you never changed the power setting Back on the app so you had low wattage for the heater.
Would this run a 1400w air fryer or would it error due to the power lift mode?
To be honest I’m not sure but I have run my 1000w air fryer I’ll show you in my next video I’m literally editing it right now 👍
Xbox series x and tv? How long would it run for?
You’re better off with a Series S as they only draw about 40-75 watts (streaming vs gameplay). Series X uses up to 150watts during gameplay. This would run the Series S for about 12 hours and a Series X for about 4-5 hours. With the TV it depends on the model
Did I miss the "light" feature?
No i don’t think so 👍
Is Mel auditioning for a job on QVC 😂😂😂
Nice bit of kit for the price
It sure is 👍
Nice advert 😁
Glad you think so!
I wouldn't buy any of those power houses lol. Simple lifepo4 cells will give best value on investment. Mel now working as partime salesman: )))
I remember when Mel insisted on keeping his lead acid and eventually moved over to a leisure battery. Would he have bought the ac200max if it wasn't for free. 😂 At the price of a decent lifepo setup they just don't compare
I think it's weird people in England go camping
I think it’s weird that people take the time to write negative comments 😂👍
@@BigVanSmallWorld how is it negative to not go camping?
