For history buffs, Odin's primary weapon was a Spear. I always used the glowing staff of Leonidas when i was Havi.
What about Gungnir
@royaltinman2226 you get Odin's spear at the end game. You get the Spear of Leonidas pretty early if you go to the Isle of Skye
You get two weapons on the island of skyle. They are the Best, period.

try the ark spear or however its called the sparky one from store one with mjolnir rune and gae bolg , its an insta kill almost
arcstrider spear increases damage each hit with infinite stacks so it just keeps increasing damage every single hit you land no matter light or heavy, and is imo the best spear. paired with gae bolg you're indestructible pretty much lol I've just started playing this game 3 weeks ago n have only completed 30% the story arc so I've got zero of odins weapons yet but I'm sure the arc spear will still be better

There is only one weapon that's on another level and that's the gae bolg spear from the wrath of the Druids dlc these are all good weapons but there are better such as this one

Tip for getting Nordens Arc super early. As soon as you start River Raids. In the River Severn you'll find the ability Shoulder Dash. Get that ability, look it up to find it. Then look up where Nordens Arc is located. And you can destroy the Ore that the bow is located in.
They patched it. I tried the shoulder dash and other abilities and it didn't work. You have to get Excalibur

@@awalk00 well you got lucky then, maybe you have an old version. I repeatedly tried over and over again for like 5 minutes straight getting different angles, testing different distances and it never worked so I had to use Excalibur
My favorite weapons were Thundering Edge and Nodens Arc. The Helix store gear is massively underrated.

I have completed Valhalla upto the 2 DLC about an year ago. Excalibur is definitely not above Gungnir, it needs to charge up. Gungnir is not hard to master at all, it has forcefield reach in sense it can extend longer. There's an another Spear in Ireland DLC Gae Bolg, which hits enemy with a Lightning after 3 consecutive successful hits. So dual wielding both these spears would be devastating for enemies.
Personally I think Excalibur isn't worth the grind compared to other base game ISU weapons.
This combo is definitely the best in the game
It’s true, Excalibur isn’t worth the grind…. But Noden’s Arc is. And you can’t get Noden’s Arc without Excalibur.
Mu go to weapon for efficient dps is the ak47 with the silencer attachment for stealth kills.
And then there is the News GJALLAHORN-SWORD which is A F-ING ROCKET LAUNCHER
I love using Thor's hammer and Odin's spear it's an op if you have to right runes
Mjolnir in a raid is just OP as its ability is pretty much always active, it hits hard and just keeps everyone stunned.
The Carolingian and the Excalibur combo is op
The bannermen's spear increasing attack with a shield in hand, then have the shield that heals you on parry and you will never die
Britton shield,located in Lunden,loved that shield and sported with with Thegn armor,til i found shield´s effect as a rune and attached it to another shield
I have all of these Odins spear and the wrath of druids DLC weapon Definitely A W Combo
The spear from the druids dlc is a good one as well
Gae Bolg is the best spear in the game, every 3 hits it strikes lightning on the opponent, if you use a offhand axe and just keep hitting the enemy it’ll non stop strike them with lightning and stun then, they won’t even be able to use red attacks lol

Agree, simple one-handed sword and shield + tier 2 raven's clan outfit = perfection
I tend to stick with realistic weapons until isu involvement becomes more obvious and when you do the dream sequences, it feels more natural that way
Am I the only one that is dissapointed that we couldnt throw Thor's hammer and have it come back in the game? They missed the biggest opportunity for that 😩
They also didn't let use use shields in Odyssey when the Greeks were known for their phalanx using shields. It needed the weapon setup that Valhalla had so we could have fun with the shield if we wanted, they could of just made you have powers later in the game since they usually do that anyway that way we could have those powers AND wield a full spear and shield and make it so we could throw the spear man it would of been awesome to actually fight completely like a Spartan in there. We could of throw the spear switched to the SIDE ARM which was the sword and then as were fighting make our way around to the spear again and pick it back up or have another spear on a quick tab and the side arm on a quick tab that way we could throw at least 2 spears and then use the side arm and if you want you can use a bow but the spear would do more damage but not as much range and you could block spear and arrows with shields if they're well made and are metal but if they're wooden then they would attach and maybe a mechanic could be it takes you a minute to pull the spear out but you could use the enemies spear to throw back or fight with or you could drop the shield with the spear in it and fight with just a sword. It could of been more challenging until you got powers. They could of made it were you could also keep the shield in a weapon slot and not use it but it stays on your back but takes up a weapon slot so you could duel wield swords or a spear and the sword and the shield on your back could block rear damage that would of been awesome. We could of fought even better probably more like Achilles and that would of made sense too since Achilles is also Greek! So many missed opportunities well with every game they make lol

I got gaebolg, 6.3% critical chance / 1.3 speed rune, + 1.7 speed rune on 2nd slot
Spear of leonidas: 1.7 speed rune + 10% critical chance rune, fallen hero armor set 😎

I use the purchased katanas for increased speed and critical damage while duel wielding with dual thors hammer runes and speed minor runes these things are stun machines very quick too especially when used with thors armor use the ulfbert sword appearance to match thors armor
If you wanna use Great axes the best ones are either Hemmings Axe or Vordrs Bite, But Hemings axe is waay easier to get bc for vordrs bite you have to kill all Legendary animals and make trophies out of them

Dude my legendary items are so much. I got Thor’s hammer, Blazing Sword, Gungnir, Nodens Arc, and Excalibur. I use the Saint George armor, that I’ve upgraded to mythical status.

Yea you can find it at the top of the map and when it is sundown there is a “unbreakable” rock and when you hit it with Excalibur you get the bow
@@The_western_crab You can cheese it by using shoulder bash on the rock any time of the day.
So if i max out my gear then buy a helix set. It says it will be as high as my highest gear...will it be able to upgrade even higher then my maxed gear? Or should i buy helix early and level it up on the way through the story? I am confused if i wait till i max current gear then buy helix to upgrade even higher then my current gear do you know?

Excalibur is done through order members and England mystery item quests, you need I think 12 to put into stone columns then you can pull out the sword, thors hammer has to be done by getting all of Thors armor set and then going to hordafykle in Norway up top is where it’s at in a stone, you have to wear the armor in order to pull it out

Excalibur is cool but not that good guys, i maxed it out and ran double long swords but double ategir was better i used the ategir from the river raid shop and the ategir from the thoughts shop.

its called "The Blazing Sword". its relatively good (at midgame atleast). After u max it out u should have about 113 DMG

How and where can we obtain throne hammer and Odins Spear ?
Got to defeat order members and a lot of other stuff for thors armor set, in hordafykle up top is thors hammer you have to wear the set to pull it out of a stone, then odins spear is done through late game campaign, basically get the weapons when you finish the game, / edit odins spear is also in hordafykle near king herald at the start of the game

Haha u thought Odin's spear was hard to master wow amateur I dual wielded it with thors hammer on my first playthrough definitely the best dual wield in game I even used the same setup in the one part where u had to go somewhere give up all your weapons and armor ofcourse I attained the indian outfit with the spear and war hammer which honestly was one of the best parts of the game for me pre dlcs haven't played it myself yet but some of the stuff looks amazing especially when u go back to be Odin again

Also how did Kasandra survive from Odyssey to Valhalla? Wouldn't that make her thousands of years old? Also she wasn't a god so how did she survive? And wasn't sure killed in the end of the game?
If you played oddesy, kassandras real father Pythagoras gave her the spear at the gates of atlantis. She lived to around 2000 years old, and then passed the spear to layla. She died when she passed the spear over

I was so disappointed in this game. From it not understanding the difference in spears (a one-handed weapon) and a pike (a two-handed weapon) to its lack of one-handed swords all the way to its quasi woke characters. Making half of the leaders and important viking characters female. It was such a disappointment. Not to mention how boring and repetitive the combat is. That said, I still play it from time to time on account of it being virtually the only semi decent viking made in the last 10 years. I hold out hope that one day, a developer that actually cares about good storytelling, gameplay, and historical accuracy will make a viking game worth my time.
