OMG so hilarious, and TRUE! I am 13 days away from finishing year 40, with one more to go. Currently teach JH, but started with 12 years of HS teaching. This hits so close to home, I gotta think that whoever wrote this skit has to be married to (or the child of) a teacher. Weird. Just had a conversation with a friend of mine two days ago and it oddly mirrored this sketch. Except it wasn't funny and she cried a little. First year teacher, so full of hope last year and she's broken. Dreams dashed upon the rocks of reality. This time next year, she'll be a communications officer at a correctional facility. At least she'll be making more money and won't have to work with children. She's looking forward to it.

Teaching has to be the easiest thing to do on earth.... you get 3 months, no kids. You get multiple holidays, no kids. You basically give them a book and explain it to them. And everyone thinks you are underpaid and underappreciated. Not me!! I think teachers have everyone fooled
@@tyinva1212 Even in the late 90's when I was in high school I saw how no matter how much time off teachers got, even with pay, I wouldn't want to be one. I had seen one of my teachers have to go to the hospital after getting their spine hurt all from a small "joke" that one of the students played on her by pulling her chair out from under her, for "fun". I saw one of my more elderly teachers start to cry from getting overly exhausted and fed up with the kids in one of my classes, and she finally just had to leave the class for a while. Another one had to locate a whole class of students that decided it would be fun to leave the class room for the heck of it, just because the teacher had to go to the bathroom. Equipment and supplies got broken or stolen, and nothing got updated the way it needed to for everyone, with kids having to share things in groups sometimes to learn from something. I could only imagine with everyone having access to their phones and things like it's nothing now at days, how difficult teaching would be. I could only imagine some sort of computer devices being installed in people's homes, if not in class rooms in the near future to teach kids, because finding people to teach them will be impossible to fill out..
@@1talldaddy yep, *and* it wasn't sweet, the whole point was that it was meant as an *insult* and *mockery* (that's such a common tone and attitude, plausibly fomented by the influences of the smart phones, and peer mob mentality with various apps and social media scaffolding the whole process)
As a teacher, I can tell you that it's not the students. We're in this job for the students. It's the parents who very much need to TSIDDAHN, STFU, and listen to the teachers who are trying to ensure their kids don't grow up to be insufferable Karens...like their parents.
No. It’s sometimes the kids. Their parents try. At least at my school. They just have no clue how to deal with their kids because they don’t understand them. It’s a totally different culture from what they grew up with in Central America and they are lost. The parents at my school don’t argue with us. They usually ask us for help.
@@parryyotter I suppose that would be a different situation if you have a lot of immigrant families. Students born in the USA are more attuned to the culture than their parents who are trying to keep up. Many of my students have grandparents who are immigrants, by rarely is it both of their parents.
I was 30, went back to my old school with the idea of , I dunno getting a sense of teaching, and noped the hell out. A whole classroom of kids with like $100,000 in computer equipment did absolutely nothing for 3 hours.
Middle school is so hard! If I'd had any other option, I would have quit at the winter break. I have two weeks left and I will not be returning to my current school for the coming year. They won
I work in a school with sixth graders. This must have been written by a teacher. Dead on. It's the constantly changing TikTok slang for me. Skibidi Toilet? I don't know how these kids are all watching the same TikToks since there are millions and millions.
They have to watch the same ones, or they get mocked or shamed for not being cool enough to know which ones are viral. They're all a bunch of Disney lemmings.
Parents of Gen Alpha need to do something about this. These are the same ipad babies that raid Sephoras. These are the same students over relying on AI for their homework. These are the frauds that prefer to cheat instead of learn because they prefer the easy way out. I'm a new Gen Z parent of a newborn and I'm already shocked by how my baby fresh out of the womb seems hypnotized by my phone sometimes. I'm def limiting screen time. I'm raising my kid. I'm not letting the screen do my job as a mother. If you're raising a spoiled brat... please. DO BETTER. The loud obnoxious kids are ruining it for the well behaved ones. When children don't learn that there are consequences for misbehaving, then we are contributing to raising a brand new generation of future criminals. If we don't take care of our children responsibly, then the law will discipline them when they're adults. Our children deserve better parenting. We owe it to them and mankind basically... duh.
It’s unreal how this skit only scratches the surface
I was thinkin the same thing...like the stories I have as a teacher are wild. lol

These teachers deserve a silk robe fundraiser 👘🙌 TSIDDAHN!!!
How about a GoFundMe so they can finally afford lemonade?
Omg - I’m a teacher and this hit hard. I’m laughing so hard I’m crying. TSSIDAHN!
Ego is a national treasure love her😂❤️
lol. My mom was asked to be a substitute teacher and she quit once the year was over. This was her direct quote: "I don't mean to sound callous here, but....I think kids have honestly gotten dumber." 🤣
😂😂😂 sometimes the truth hurts
Whoever wrote that TSIDDAHN joke killed it.
It's like they were spying in on my 5th period class this year.
39 years in the profession and still going! Literally had a child use gyatt as his user name in Blooket. I teach 5th grade. I felt like I needed a bingo card for this video. The "Covid broke something and we can fix it" line is so true. I laughed, but it hit hard, too.
I also had one try gyatt as his kahoot username recently. I kicked him out immediately too. They think we are stupid.
OMG so hilarious, and TRUE! I am 13 days away from finishing year 40, with one more to go. Currently teach JH, but started with 12 years of HS teaching. This hits so close to home, I gotta think that whoever wrote this skit has to be married to (or the child of) a teacher. I think the vast majority of the general population has no understanding of how this is our daily existence, especially at this time of the year.
Thats some years of service my dude. Have a great year!
i mean i would be pretty happy if my student gave my $10 000.
Right? That one was off - the rest hit the nail on the head
They raised 10k, she didn't say she received it.
@@muchtested right! they should've added something like...'and then they took the 10K bought the chubby gym teacher Ozempic'
😂 you think they gave to her? Hell no. They probably would buy shoes, vapes, and Stanley cups with it. It’s amazing the side hustles they come up with. Kids will sell a sip of their drinks for a $1 during COVID. Yall they won.
😂
Teachers across America know this skit is sooooo true 😅
All of this is 100% perfection. I wish it wasn’t but this is our reality.
I feel like I need to say "Thank you for your service."
4:16 shoulda said “good” 😂😂
That’s what I was expecting😭
As a teacher, the TSIDDAHN is real
Absolutely hilarious! We've got 7 days left in our school year, so Imma take a picture of T-S-I-D-D-A-H-N and put it on my desk. Everytime one if my students gets up, Imma point to it.....TSIDDAHN!
I've really come to appreciate this cast of SNL. Not only is the show extremely entertaining, but I'm also learning new words such as "tsiddahn" (@2:09). My compliments to the cast and writers and thanks for posting. Y'all stay safe 🙏
That closing OnlyFans joke, ooft 😂
Let ego guest star on Abbot elementary please 😂😭.
Yooo fr fr… she can be the this teacher or the sub who thinks they’re all poor illiterate urban youth, but they turned out to be college level honors🤦🏾♀️🤣😅
OMG, that would be the best!
Thank you!!! Best gift for our Teacher's Week Appreciation that was not this year from our students, and TSIDDAHN plus SILENCE that I am ready were the catchy words, repeated at least 700 times this school year.
I’m a middle school art teacher going on 10 years now. Y’all win the battle, but I’ll be damned if y’all think you’re gonna win the war. TSSSSSIDDAHN!
Hahahahaha this skit is gold! As a teacher, I felt just about every last one of these 🤣🤣 This school year has been an, umm.... journey to say the least. 4 more days until summer break!!!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾
And there is liquor in this thermos 🤣🤣👏🏻👏🏻💯💯
Thank you Thank you Thank you! As a teacher I feel so seen! Thank you!
"I have officially endured my last skibidi toilet" that took me out 😭😭😭
This is one of those sketches that's a little too relatable 😂
Yep. Teachers are going through some things nowadays.
Middle school teacher here of 20 years. This video had me DYING laughing!! So spot on in so many ways. No jokes about the ever present tech/cell phone issue we have been experiencing for years now in grades 6-12 though. I can’t imagine they don’t know about it???? Great skit SNL!
Mom was a teacher .. I died laughing at this one 😂😅TSIDDAHN WAS ABSOLUTELY HYSTERICAL !! Props to the cast and the writers on this one 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
My mom was a teacher too. And I’m going on thirty years. 👏👏👏
Teaching has to be the easiest thing to do on earth.... you get 3 months, no kids. You get multiple holidays, no kids. You basically give them a book and explain it to them. And everyone thinks you are underpaid and underappreciated. Not me!! I think teachers have everyone fooled
@@tyinva1212 well aren’t you not only ignorant but proudly so. Bet many teachers told you to tsidahn. And a few others told you to shaddap!
@@tyinva1212 You would not last for 12 minutes in a classroom
Aww..the Crystal Light part was sweet. I would be delighted if my students did something like that.
something tells me they didn't give her the $10,000.
@@sparkythancztwise yeah i know, but if she would have gotten that $10,000 she would be singing a different tune.lol
They griddy’ed all the way to the bank.
@@1talldaddy truth!
Question is, *which* tune? And with a chorus refrain including "vacation!" or "new vocation!" 😂
TSIDDAHN (as a former teacher) I just DIED!!! Hahaha
Whenever Ego plays a teacher, it is amazingly real
Realistic Abbott Elementary
My new slang, TSIDDAHN 😂😂😂😂😂😂, I'm dying!!
My gurrrl Eggo!!! You ate!!! You can TSIDDAHN now!😂😂 That's a keeper catchphrase for the eternity!! Loved it!!!
I went back to college in my 40s to become a teacher after almost a year.I couldn't stand it, they all won. This is not a joke
That’s so sad to hear
I love the quality in humans that says I want to help shape and cultivate young minds but knowing what parenting and children have become...WHY???😂😂😂
Sad but true
I was 30, went back to my old school with the idea of , I dunno getting a sense of teaching, and noped the hell out. A whole classroom of kids with like $100,000 in computer equipment did absolutely nothing for 3 hours.
Just imagine what they are like at home!
I made it 2.5 months as a 6-8 teacher. They won.
Middle school is so hard! If I'd had any other option, I would have quit at the winter break. I have two weeks left and I will not be returning to my current school for the coming year. They won
All of my co-workers and I have watched this many times and can't stop laughing!
I teach high school and am SO grateful for this skit!
I work in a school with sixth graders. This must have been written by a teacher. Dead on. It's the constantly changing TikTok slang for me. Skibidi Toilet? I don't know how these kids are all watching the same TikToks since there are millions and millions.
It was the three S's in middle school this year - "skibidi toilet", "what the sigma?", and singing "you are my sunshine".
@@p_kix I still don't know if Sigma is good or bad
They have to watch the same ones, or they get mocked or shamed for not being cool enough to know which ones are viral. They're all a bunch of Disney lemmings.
As a 6th grader myself, I don’t think that stuff is funny but a lot of kids in my school are like “ahahahahaha skibidi gyatt” like wtf
@@jacquelinemcgee9949 Don't act like you've never done something to keep up with trends or wanted to fit in.
We owe it to them and mankind basically... duh.
