Let's keep the people of Florida in our prayers as milton makes landfall 🙏
I am so nervous about the safety of all the people there - in particular, the elderly - especially because our government doesn’t care about what happens to them and what has already happened to those in Florida and the surrounding states. 😟
And I might add globally - our prayers are needed for the world more now than ever. We can all be like Dr. Mendell by doing the greater good with the power of prayer!
@@EYE_GOTCHA Many thanks for your thoughts about us here, in Florida. Well the one way or another the government open shelters for people in need and provide food for those. It's a very terrible situation. Please pray for us 🙏❤❤❤❤❤
@@adlihkristopher2906 Thank you for starting the prayer. Praying for the safety of everyone.

Sprouts have been my favorite vegetable all my life. I call them Minnie Cabbages. Mmmm
I'm a breast cancer survivor for 22 years. Those brussel sprouts are in my diet 2 to 3 times a week. Glad to know that the brussel sprouts helps with cancer. Thank you for sharing.

My mother taught me to drink the cooled water that sprouts and cabbage were boiled in. I don't add salt, and it's delicious.
It's possible I can drink the cold water after boiling cabbage, and even eat the boiled cabbage, but the taste of Brussel sprouts just are nasty to my mouth😮😢 I you Dr Mendel❤😊
@@susanvega1221 apparently it's not your fault, it's all down to your individual taste buds. It's why small children can hate some vegetables, they have more taste buds than adults. I hated sprouts until I had some freshly picked ones which taste sweet. To me most supermarket vegetables taste little like they used to. Some are like sour cardboard. Heaven knows what they are doing to them. Spanish vegetables taste of diesel to me. Maybe they heat the poly tunnels. I don't like potatoes. I've usually been okay with cabbages. I'm thinking of growing my own again.
@yves2694 but now that I'm 65 years Young, maybe I will like them as my daughter loves them roasted with garlic.
there's such a variety of cruciferous veggies, broccoli, samoyedo cabbage, napa cabbage, cauliflower, radishes, broccoli sprouts(very powerful), kale, and I don't remember the rest. Pick the ones you like, and enjoy, also try steaming, adding to stir fry(use avocado oil for cooking, and extra virgin olive oil for topping finished dishes) adding these vegetables to soups, rice, potatoes, pasta and salads! Get creative, and you may even begin to like brussels sprouts! Good health to you! ❤
Thank you so much for the many choices of delicious vegetables you listed I cannot tell you how many of the above I love
I grew up on brussel sprouts in the 80's 👍💪
Still steaming then today !
This deserves so much more attention!
Thanks doc. I’ve started questioning everything, especially government health advice! After reading "Health and Beauty Mastery", I completely changed my approach. This book reveals so many shocking truths about the health industry!

If it's govt "health advice", I probably don't want it.

Sauté or roast with garlic and shallots, thyme and oregano
@@beccacertifiedpersonaltrai3636
Growing up in the 1970's, I loved them just boiled, with Kerrygold butter.
I still love them most just plain, but you could try them lightly mashed with butter, sautéed off with onions, garlic and bacon, or with pancetta and shallots.
Some people like to roast with olive oil and chopped walnuts, and would also be nice roasted with sesame seeds and soy or plum sauce.
Enjoy them, however you eat them. Most importantly, just boil them to your liking first. 😋

Roasted with carrots and ginger is my favorite way.
What a great idea. I'm going to try that. Thanks
@@LoritaH-u8j Some olive oil and a splash of tamari and they are so good.
As a fellow health creator, I truly appreciate the insights shared in this video! Brussels sprouts and other cruciferous vegetables are indeed powerhouses when it comes to cancer defense. Their high levels of glucosinolates, which convert into cancer-fighting compounds during digestion, are particularly noteworthy.
In addition to their antioxidant properties, these veggies also support detoxification processes in the liver, which is crucial for eliminating harmful substances from the body. I love how you highlighted the versatility of Brussels sprouts in cooking; they can be incorporated into a variety of dishes, from salads to stir-fries, making it easy to enjoy their health benefits.
For anyone looking to boost their intake of these nutritious vegetables, consider pairing them with healthy fats, like olive oil or avocado, to enhance nutrient absorption. Keep up the great work in spreading awareness about the importance of nutrition in cancer prevention! 🌱💚
My favorite, brussels and broccoli are a staple for me!
Is the none organic version has the same benefits?
@@nellyva1829i think bugs dont like them. So organic isnt needed.
@@LongevityLabYT Don't forget that olive oil should not be heated to a high temperature or it changes into some nasties👍🏻

Welp, guess whose going Brussels sprout shopping for today ❤thank you for the knowledge
TY Doctor Mandel 🙏✝️❤️ Keep em coming
I sauté it with NON-HYDROGENATED coconut oil. It’s really good! I know it’s a weird combo but the non-hydrogenated coconut oil helps bring nutrients from the cells past the blood brain barrier and gets them into the brain. I had no idea brusslesprouts helped fight against cancers so that’s a huge bonus. Thanks for this video!! Fantastic info!
WOW. I love them . I don't eat them much. and Now I need to add them back. Thank you so much.
What a treasure! This video is a gold mine. I do the Dr. Mandel pelvic floor exercises and recipes too!
I love them, I always keep a bag of frozen sprouts in the freezer. Air fry some direct from frozen without oil for about 10 minutes delicious 😊

I enjoyed this video. That’s the information. I needed more fruits and vegetables, herbs, and spices.
I’ll bet all of the vegetables in this group like broccoli, cabbage, rutabagas and cauliflower do the same thing . I’ve seen research on it . I love them all .
I LOVE BRUSSEL SPROUTS! Little butter melted on them, yum yum!! ( real butter)
For years I've been eating cooked carrots for glutathione: did not know that Brussel Sprouts are also a source of it. When out shopping today I bought some Brussel Tops, which are the green leaves at the top of the stalk. I got these at a farm shop - not a high street supermarket.
Also, this year (2024) I am growing some Brussel sprouts in my garden. Its a challenge as just about every garden critter likes to eat their leaves - caterpillars galore, snails and many more
I made my own brussel sprout recipe. Love it!
Wow! Thank You Dr Mandell! I always loved Brussel sprouts, I never knew this! I will eat even more now! 😂

Dr mandell good afternoon thank you for sharing this information God bless you and your family have a nice day ❤
When I got a gift of a food kit one Christmas, one of the meals included Brussels sprouts for roasting. I went along and followed directions even though I had not tasted them since childhood; I think they were steamed then. What a difference! Now I love them with some EVOO, S&P, and a bit of fresh grated cheese. A little goes a long way, ahem, in polite company.😊
❤thank you Dr Mandell
This video is fantastic and full of helpful information! The main takeaway is how Brussels sprouts can help prevent cancer, support heart health, and improve digestion. Most importantly, they boost your immune system and help regulate blood sugar levels. I often bake Brussels sprouts with olive oil and a pinch of salt, which makes a simple and delicious dish. Thank you, Dr. Mandell, for this valuable content! 🥦🌿
This kind of bullshit AI bot comment cluttering up everything is becoming a real problem.
@@PaulthePhilosopher2 Hi guy, i am real person. What problem with you?
Hey just a friendly fyi: make sure that if you use olive oil on it, to not heat it up past 300 degrees I believe bc it’s not heat resistant. So when people cook with it it turns to sugars right away and stops being healthy for you at that point. Olive oil is meant to be drizzled on stuff like salad etc. or cooked on a very low heat… but grape seed oil is heat resistant and you can cook with that or the non-hydrogenated coconut oil. ❤
