fantastic, Gillian -- totally love how you debunk those myths about how "important" it was to do "RUclips SEO" because the real thing on RUclips is in the metadata, just like you said!
And hey, in real life you don't even need any extra tool for that -- just pull up the page source (which you can do in any browser) and it'll show the Keywords and other Meta Data used in any given video on any RUclips or other HTML page. I kind of like Tubebuddy myself (for making it more convenent) but neither this nor any other tool is actually required for it.

TouringAV - Travel, Outdoors & Touring so what she saying is, is to copy the popular videos, exact tags?

    • @TouringAV
      @TouringAV 4 года назад

@@Joe-sn3ms no, that only works if your video's content really satisfies viewers looking for those exact tags! So this needs to satisfy their search intent. If they "find" you and then are shown something completely different (or even worse, realize you're "tag-baiting" them) they'll leave after a few secs, and that hurts your Channel's performance metrics. Hence only copy those tags from popular ones that are also relevant to *your* video. And remember what you want is viewers satisfied with the content they found (yours). Good marks if they watch, bad marks if they bounce!

Wow, I can't say enough nice things about this video. I've been watching quite a few of these trying to gain strategies, and noticed that many of them start out with about 5 minutes of info not related to the title of the video..I feel like I got duped instantly, and am getting a 'subscribe to me' pitch before getting into the content. Then the content is usually 'make nice thumbnails' or worse..something sleazy. This video, by contrast, had no bait...it was solid content, all useful, most of it I hadn't heard, and backed up with some great tips like 'humans are drawn to faces, so put them in your thumbnails'. I'd noticed that a lot of people put a picture of themselves in the thumbnail, and had thought it quirky or odd. Now I feel like I 'get it'. You've earned a sub, and I signed up for the checklist...I'll start putting that into my next videos and will probably watch this one a few times to make sure I get all the tips down..it was information DENSE! (and that's awesome). Thankyou so much, and I'll browse through your other videos to see if the content is relevant to me and as helpful.

Hello Gillian, I'm a faithful follower, refer people to u all the time, as well. I'm try to use your suggestions on many areas of my life, even though I'm older (almost 68) have a mobility issue that started worsening 2 yrs ago due to spinal issues. I'm a fighter and refuse to give up. I've notice alot of change in you in the last year especially. You're a remarkable young lady. With all due respect, my only concern when watching & listening is your talking so much faster and I feel like I need to take a breath.... I'm feeling more anxious than enjoyment, like I did. I can only attribute it to your talking faster and repeating the same thing more than necessary. Although, it could be my age too. I won't go into the psychological strategies of repeating things to help people remember better, because I'm sure you know them all. I love your videos, never have been disappointed in any and learn so much. If I succeed with my plans this year, it will be partly because of what you taught me. I hope all is well with your family and the newest little one. Time is flying by so fast I'm sure she's growing into a beautiful child, who is blessed a loving mother. Your son is so handsome too! Thank you for all the valuable information, time and research it takes to make these videos. My best to your continued success in the years to come. Blessings, L :)

I really enjoyed watching this video as all your other videos! ❤ I have a big QUESTION and wonder if u could help me out with that here or make new video about it. My question is: Before I had very different content on my channel. I have many subscribers about 112000 subs. Because purely just for fun I uploaded 10 years ago few videos montages made by me about Michael Jackson dancing and shows.. and just let it run cos ppl seemed to like them so I thought it can make some ppl happy... and lucky me in last 2 years my few of these videos got suggested and these videos with Michael Jackson got more then 30 million viewers! And with that I got lots of subscribers. When I decided to do my own content unfortunatelly I couldn't keep these videos anymore on my channel. But guess what everyone out there thinks something like this is gonna help, I make them wrong! It does not. It actually make things worse for your channel because all ppl who like MJ are not really interested in my own content, so that saying it makes my audience retention go very low and very hard for utube to recommend my videos with my own content. Now my question is: What would you suggest in my situation to do. I'm monetised already on my channel. I'm thinking to make video about telling ppl who are subscribed to my channel for Michael Jackson and are not really interested in my own content to unsubscribe, or what else could I do, apart from starting new channel. Thank u! 🙏🏼

This happened to me before on another channel i eventually got frustrated i just decided to start all over again. its proven that ppl doesnt unsubscribe from channels even if they arent interested in that channel anymore. making a video saying to unsubcribe wont really help either bcus most of them wont watch it anyways and it will send a bad signal to youtube if thousands of ppl are suddenly unsubscribing from your channel. this is a bad spot to be in honestly, i just didnt care that my old channel was 100 subs away from monetizing bcus i had hundreds of subs and only 30 views per video. super frustrating! nobody talks about these struggles thats y now on my new channel i wont post anything that i cant recreate or i dont enjoy making. best of luck!

@@rainboweyes_artstudio 💙 Hey 👋🏻 I’m not exactly sure what specifically worked for me...I think it’s a combination of several things.
      - you have to REALLY want it...like an obsession type of behaviour
      - but you don’t just want it for yourself, you have really feel like you have something to give to someone else.
      - be consistent...everyone says that but it’s true. If someone who is a fan of your content knows you upload weekly then they know they can return back and new videos will be there
      - learn...omg, the learning never stops. Just when you think you did a good job there’s always little tweaks to make it better.
      - be happy, have fun, and be passionate. People can tell when you are just going through the emotions or uploading for the sake of uploading. You want people to feel your positive vibes (I know that sounds weird)...people can sense your energy even when it’s not authentic.
      - thumbnail & titles are major! I spend hours on my thumbnails...and they still could be better lol
And finally....be patient. Most content creators don’t get a lot of views until they have around 100 videos up. When you have a larger inventory of content you are more easily discovered....think of it this way, if you have 1 video in the billions of videos on YT you’re less likely to get discovered. But if you have 100+ your chances of being seen goes up significantly.
These are just some of the things I’ve learned. I’m not an expert and definitely have more room to improve...LOTS of room lol Just have fun, share, and do the best you can with what you’ve got. Everyone’s journey is different 💙

The best channel on RUclips about being successful. Other channels are click bait that has no content. Gillian you are honest and it shows! Your tips have helped me greatly with my channel! Question - My channel name has nothing to do with my brand. Is there an easy way to change a channel name without loosing subs and causing confusion?

Thank you for the ideas! Do you think it helps or hurts to have videos linked in the cards? People clicking on them in the middle means that they are not watching the video all the way through. Does that hurt your video?

Hi, your videos are great help indeed. I keep watching your videos since couple of months. Getting traffic on Blog, especially on affiliate products to sell, has become a real challenge now as people log in directly to any ecommerce site to buy products they want. Could you suggest something on this that would work in 2019 at beginner level ?
