In the first version of the ending Takt and Anna couldn't separate Destiny from Cosette. However, in episode 8 they accepted that Cosette is gone. I think this second version symbolizes that they're trying to move on.

There's always something so beautiful about goodbyes in their sombre dreariness I loved how Cosette and Destiny as a character developed, from the beginning where the other characters are grieving and hanging onto Destiny being Cosette, to accepting that she is gone and moving on culminating with the end of the anime and the passing of the torch (transitioning into the plotline for the gacha game) It's so interesting to see how Destiny is manifested in Takt's love interests/influential figures and I hope that the continuation of the story in the game and maybe if there's a season 2/"3" or manga truly coming that they expand more on the bond between Destiny as a musicart, Destiny as a combination of herself and the people she possess and their relationship with Takt Also would love to see more Walkure, she was played like the adorkable nuisance lmao and I would like to see her develop I wish that they made the game a tad bit more interesting and less gacha dependent as it shines it in the wrong light, I love arknights, Honkai especially and a couple other gacha games but save for Honkai I don't play them as the games feel a bit tacky and the gacha is a huge turn off (I do like how in Honkai you can grind away and get characters) But honestly if the game is a hit, who am I to complain that the genre isn't my cup of tea? I'll probably see if there's a PC port, lick myself in a dark room and binge it until its finished if it's that good as I also really really love this series/story
