Brent Strathdee-Pehi sorry for the late reply! You can place this just about anywhere you like on the face, probably the back also. The thing is, the tone changes depending where it’s mounted so close to the bridge seems to yield the most accurate results as far as sounding like the instrument acoustically. I hope that helps and again, I’m so sorry I did not respond sooner 🎶
Yes, it works great on steel string in fact! It also works on Uke, Banjo, anything that has a place to stick it on. You get a very different sound from where you place it, the will be a sweet spot that sounds best.
Jeiris Cook I haven’t been lately but have been thinking about it. Let’s get in touch. you can contact me through my website matgurman.com I also have a video lesson called Jazz Rock Guitar Soloing (it’s distributed by Starlicks/Hal Leonard) and I think it’s streaming also. The main purpose of the video is to teach improvisation and soloing, phrasing, etc. That part also streams from the Guitar Player Magazine website in the video section (if it’s still up there). Thanks Jeiris
Matt - great review and wonderful playing. Really sweet version of Eleanor Rigby!
Thank you Stuart, I’m glad you liked it. Sorry my reply is so late 🎶
wow! i forgot about the pick up and concentrated in your playing :) so nice!
Thank you so much for such a nice compliment!
Love your playing Mat. I listened to the entire video.
Bob Marioni Thanks Bob!
HE OIDO BUENOS COMENTARIOS DE ESTE EQUIPO Y POR TAL RAZON COMPRE DICHO EQUIPO.
Y que tal te fue? Sirve? Tengo un requinto español al que quiero amplificar sin modificar su originalidad.
Does it make a significant difference where you attach it to guitar body? I’m a strummer and that location for me would beg to get hit constantly!

That playing was cool, what's your amp?
miopera40 Thanks! I am not using an amp here. The signal is going into a mixer and then into the camera. I’m using a powered monitor for monitoring.
@@MatGurman That's fair for sound comparison. Thanks!
40 bucks? Is that real? Would work on reg Taylor steel string acoustic?

Do you give lessons?
Jeiris Cook I have instructional DVDs that also stream. What are you wanting to work on?
@@MatGurman I want to work on my lead guitar. You play amazing
