Hey Everyone, thank you for the comments! It looks like we have a scammer replying to you all asking for you to text them. Please Do Not do this, it is not me and I will never ask you to do anything like this. Thank you and God Bless!
Hello Carson! Hope calving season goes well for you! Calving heifers in the cold can be challenging!! We used to calve in January…but moved calving to late March and April. Know you have to to get them bred before heading them to the hills. Loved the “Best part…holding my little bull calf”! 🥰 Dad just said he remembers when you had 15K subscribers! Thank you so much for taking us along! Blessings to you!
When I was your age calved in February Little older went to March 1 Then March 20 Then April 10 with age Now August 20. Not truly convinced of fall calving but haven’t drug a calf through a snow bank to the barn in 4 years.
Hey Carson! Still binge watching backwards here in Oklahoma. We're getting thunderstorms with low temps today. That's just crazy. The perfect end to a busy day. Mom and baby look warm and happy. Thanks for raising food for folks to eat.
Hi Carson, glad to see that even though the calving season started a little rough everything worked out in the end. It is good that you saw that calf out in the snow and got it in the warming station. I think pulling that calf saved it's life as it probably would have had a hard delivery. Thanks for taking us along on the calving season and for repositioning the camera, we couldn't see much before. Nice way to end a hectic day holding and spending time with Silas.
The miracle of birth, natural or with help. God giving life is truly wonderous! A little calf may just be the biggest troublemaker of the whole herd--sometimes they really get to be so adventurous when their beginning was not the best. Dairy cow experience from my knowledge, is what I have seen. Love calves. GOD BLESS with calving season.
Those drone shots are fantastic!!!! The old green truck reminds me of our old truck dad called Old smoke…because when he started it …it blew out a lot of black smoke.😀. Glad you guys found that calf and is warming up…. Busy time for you all… Love seeing all those little babies… I always took care of the baby calves…my favorite….Heifers don’t know what’s happening when their calving…glad you guys are keeping an eye out…. Have a great day..stay warm and keep those calves coming…❤❤❤❤
1/31/23 8:32 Not as cold here as your place but 20* is cold here to these 71 year old bones. Ground is covered with at least 1/2 inch of ice . Carson you and Jacque show you love your work and cattle in the way you handle these cows calving . My hats is off in salute to you both.
We keep some dairy colostrum frozen in 1 1/2 quart containers on hand for situations like this. Thanks for sharing, I know it's not easy filming when you already have your hands full.
And the Fun starts. Good luck I know it is very stressful but rewarding at the same time. The little ones laying in the sun is delightful. Need to keep some Makers Mark in the warmer area for medical purposes 🤪 🍀
Oh how I remember those days! The highlight of the day while waiting for cows to calve is to pick up cow pies. lol A burlap sack or two always came in handy to help dry off a calf while momma thinks about licking them off. No taking a vacation with 1st calf heiffers. lol
Penelope figures she is special and wants her own place to give birth, lol. Hope that heifer takes to her calf. Silas is cute as always. You and Damaris have a handsome young man. Only thing better than kids is grandkids. Stay safe and healthy.
Of course it has to be crazy cold for calving season. Hope it gets better for ya. I was thinking about you guys seeing the wind chill temps. Yikes. Thanks for sharing sweet Silas and Damaris with us. Dr Jacques is back too.
This was a MUST watch video! Drone footage of feeding, shoveling manure, pulling a calf, milking a heifer and best of all, Silas! Great Job, Carson and Damaris!
Last year. About 1/2 my heifer didn’t want their calves. Got them paired up. Then we got a few blizzards and they didn’t want their calves again. Lol. Lost their scent I guess
Oh dang!! I was hoping all the really cold weather lately was going to miss you and calving! We are still completely BURIED in snow here. Go look at my recent short video here and see what hit up here. Still having to get help feeding our cattle down the road because we cant get out of here to do anything!! Good luck with all the new birthing heifers my friend, stay safe and warm!!
I love calving time. Calves dropping to the ground and bounding around brings a smile to my face. Yep, there are losses, but the wins far outweigh them and I thank God for every live calf, heifer or cow.
Hey brother. Calving season is always an exciting but definitely stressful time. But have to admit I’ve always hated pulling calves. You guys have apparently gone it down to an art. Great to see Jacques, your dad, Silas and Demaris. Great video. Thanks for sharing with us. As always your brother in Christ.
Brother you save the best for last, you're truly a blessed Man. Thank you for sharing the day of calving on the ranch and the struggles that y'all go through bring us a quality product. Stay blessed
Ya'll are doin a great job making videos that show it like it is. That's a good looking Stormy, you've got on. We've used Colostrx for 25 yrs. on 1st. calf heifers calves w/great luck. It's another 20 dollar expense, but i think it's money well spent. Calve on! 2023 is gonna be the cow-pokes year!
That was very interesting, Thanks for sharing that!! Shows how much it takes to bring in calves in the winter time. I personally didn't know it was so much work. Felt bad for the lil guy, mama isn't a good mama if she rejects her babies like that....Great job!! God Bless
Nice video. Why calving so early in the year when it is so cold? Quite a few ranchers time their birth for March and early April when there’s no cold weather danger to the young animals.
I don’t understand how cows stay warm when it’s that cold out but I know that they grow long winter coats so that must be it, also from eating more food. Right?
Hey Carson! Awesome job by You ALL with the calving in the cold 🐄 🥶 !!! The drone footage at the start is really amazing & love the views!! Great ending to the video as well & what really matters & that’s Family, with coming home to Your Beautiful Wife, and adorable little boy (aka “Your favorite little baby bull calf”!!!)
Curious where /when u got thatcalve pulling device, seen done different ways but don't remember ever seeing one of them, great design, and nice job by the way
Man, that looks all too familiar. My brother and I will be doing the same things here in another month. Looks like you have a good setup for calving at least and that makes a big difference. About how many heifers are you guys calving this spring? We have around 75 starting around the 7th of March. Good luck with them, it sure can be a lot of work.
When you start rolling your hay out how you now what way to start rolling your bail out I no you have to start the way it came out of the baler I want to start rolling my hay I think you far trying to help me I watch all your videos Amen
Hey Everyone, thank you for the comments! It looks like we have a scammer replying to you all asking for you to text them. Please Do Not do this, it is not me and I will never ask you to do anything like this. Thank you and God Bless!
We don’t have a barn so we calf out later March , April calving.
Without a doubt, the best part of the day is coming home after work and hugging your children and your wife. God bless you.

The drone shots of cows moving in an organized way, like the flow of a river, to hay laid down is very interesting.
And I thought it is cold here in CRaon city Nevada at 3°. You got my beat. Take care..stay warm
When I was your age calved in February

Thanks for showing us life on a ranch.
Jaques pulling a calf. What a way to celebrate his 1 year on the ranch.

Such a great calf daddy. Thanks for sharing this. Your wife and baby are beautiful
If that calf don't make it it's not for lack of effort!! Love the calving video!!!
Hope you have a good year with no storms and warmer weather don't need this below zero stuff any more
And it has started. No need to wonder what to do for the next several weeks. Lol
THANKS!
Good morning from Syracuse NY brother and everyone else thank you for sharing this beautiful event( calves being born and helping to deliver a calf

Nice see you help the cows calving when needed but the best is seeing the baby at the end and your wife.. Have a good day.. Love you all...
Get yourself a hand milker Carson. They are cheap. They are easy. They are a life saver.
Howdy from west Texas!
OMGosh that's COLD!!!!!
Like the old saying goes Carson " you can lead the calf to the teet , but you can't make it suckle " eh cowboy !!!!!
Hi Carson it's such a beautiful site to see the cows walk after your car from the drone.💕
It’s interesting to see how well insulated the cows are. The snow on their backs says it all.
Calve in February,9 cows, you have a lot to take care of!
Oh how I remember those days! The highlight of the day while waiting for cows to calve is to pick up cow pies. lol A burlap sack or two always came in handy to help dry off a calf while momma thinks about licking them off. No taking a vacation with 1st calf heiffers. lol
Wow, well done !
Thank you all so much ☝️

Nothing like driving over frozen cow piles!!!

Lots of work but all worth it.
Great drone shots and music .
That is one eye opening video!!!
That is a tough job calving in the winter, but it looks like you have it under control. Good luck with the rest of the calving season.
Good thing I was not watching Carson during supper time :)
I would never thought that the plan would to calve during the harshest part of winter!
Howdy ya'll, hope all goes well with calving season. Thank you for sharing another one with us.
Brother you save the best for last, you're truly a blessed Man. Thank you for sharing the day of calving on the ranch and the struggles that y'all go through bring us a quality product.

Thank You for sharing with us. 👍
Wow! that is a lot of work, great job!
good job
Glad to see you have discovered Stormy Kromer hats............
Might need to get an EZ Milker. I believe they have a cow sized version. Sandi Brock is a fan using it in her sheep farm.
New life!
I thought the snow and cold was because the stock show was starting. Then I found out you guys are the reason for the weather since you are calving.
You’ve heard of imprinting, right Carson, that baby calf is on to you 😂
Ya'll are doin a great job making videos that show it like it is. That's a good looking Stormy, you've got on. We've used Colostrx for 25 yrs. on 1st. calf heifers calves w/great luck. It's another 20 dollar expense, but i think it's money well spent. Calve on! 2023 is gonna be the cow-pokes year!

Calve May and June
Love seeing your beautiful family at the end.Does someone come out during the night and check the heifers or do you wait until the morning?
My wife cut down the recipe for panakuken to a small pan and only three eggs. Used raspberries for topping. Pretty good. Had it twice now.
Where is the hired hand from? I notice his accent.
Enjoying your channel Carson.
South Africa

You guys need smaller pens, so it’s easier to bring them in.
You need good cow dogs, (Hangin' Tree cow dogs.)
Where is this ranch
I believe these guys are out in the blk hills of sd, somewhere.
Somewhere near Spearfish, SD I think
