Gelukkig nieuwjaar Piet, voor jou, je gezin en voor jullie prachtige boerderij. In Nederland en Vlaanderen wordt alles kapot gereglementeerd. Alle goeds en succes gewenst vanuit Essen in Vlaanderen.
Happy new year to the clan ! It must have been great seeing yhe two Ouma's , Oom and Tante ! Hope the kids will remember their family reunion fir a long time . All the best for the new year from down under !
Hi Piet, you're videos are always interesting but sometimes you forget to tell your findings. Just like today. You're checking out the manure of your cows and as a fellow farmer i know how important that can be. So i am kindda waiting for your findings but you never tell in the video. That could be something you could try to improve in your videos. It has happened before😉 Just a tip from another cownerd.
Hi Piet, Happy New Year! Your Production goals are attainable. DDGS always get a bad rap for butterfat depression, and I believe it is somewhat undeserved. We feed the milking herd 6lbs of DDGS and maintain a 4.45% BF and 3.4 P. A couple things that I think have been game changers since the price paid for BF went from almost zero to $3 plus. Rumensin, While it may have a place in early lactation, it's BF depression out weights its efficiency gains everywhere else, just have to look at Elanco's own research and use $3 BF. Elanco loves to blame DDGS, but here in the upper Midwest DDGS vs Rumensin is a no-brainer. MHA, A product like Alimet if not already used in your rations work great with DDGS and have a nice ROI with the current high BF prices. Like always, your cows look GREAT!!!
Merci beaucoup pour tes vidéos... Les hollandais....on une vache dans le ventre !!! Magnifique ton business, félicitations mec !!! Meilleurs vœux à toute la famille !!!
Cows and heifer ration formulation strategie and there costs and economics pls . Thank for your time we really like the channel and we like it to go forwards
The problem with doing it only certain areas is the cows will figure it out very quickly. Then u will get the issue of hoarding. All the cows will only want to stand where the rubber mat is. So best to either leave is all concrete or rubber Matt the whole barn but that gets expensive.
Happy New Year to you, your family & staff from Ontario, Canada! You do a great job showing us your day to day business! You have such a neat & tidy farm, inside & out! I think not having to pay for milk quotas like we do here is a great benefit! It is obvious you put your cows welfare as #1! You asked for questions: Does your Dad have specific jobs with the farm? How many Litres of milk is the average per cow per day? Is the same cow milked 2x or 3x per day? Do you have a bit of video of your trip in Netherlands? Do you sell beef or milk at your sister's creamery? How many days old is the milk on the grocery store shelf (from time the cow was milked)? Hope you don't mind the questions. Thank you!
like what you are showing would like to see milk trucks and how many loads a day are going out have alot of eight axle milk trailer around us here in the thumb of michigan
De koeien blinken mooi Piet, conditie is top. Is er meer toekomstperspectief bij je nieuwe melkerij of betalen ze beter dan de vorige? Is er blauwtong in Amerika geweest? Groetjes 🇧🇪
You could touch on breeding beef vs dairy. Do you say breed all heifers dairy for faster genetic improvement and some top cows and the rest beef? What % of cows/heifers breed beef vs dairy?
your camera and light work is fine for me. Its context sensitive, you are filming farming. Your content is already what i want to see
Good afternoon to all 🙏 Thanks for the video

Hi Piet. I am an avid reader/listener to your video contents. Video lighting quite ok for me. Technical issues on the dairy perfect! Keep it up!

Could you explain what is an A2A2 cow
Thank you for the video. You have an amazing operation.
One thing you could do is put in cow brushes. Cows really seem to enjoy them and helps them appear cleaner.
Happy New Year Piet en familie greats from Holland ❤

Do you ever use rubber foot mats around the main water trough areas, for foot comfort?
The problem with doing it only certain areas is the cows will figure it out very quickly. Then u will get the issue of hoarding. All the cows will only want to stand where the rubber mat is. So best to either leave is all concrete or rubber Matt the whole barn but that gets expensive.

How do you determine which heifers and cows to keep in the herd and which ones to cull. I believe would be a good video.
Feliz año desde España, soy granjero y te sigo ,enhorabuena

like what you are showing would like to see milk trucks and how many loads a day are going out have alot of eight axle milk trailer around us here in the thumb of michigan
Was wondering how the cows get to the milking parlor? Do they go outside to get there

How's the sorghum baleage turning out?
Im dairyfarmer too.
Have you ever given robotic feeding any thoughts?
Do you store and sell the A2 A2 milk separate ?
I see nothing wrong with what your doing, it is a working farm which is interesting
Great video Piet, you might laugh but in my day if you had a cow that gave 50 pounds a day you had a good one.
how old can you keep cows ? 5 or 6 years old ?
Hi
It seems to me that you have more cows in in pen than beds. Is that true?
Do you speak Dutch or do they speak English?
