Thank you for this review. I just got 48 of these colors (in boxes, not a tin) and I had 13 colors that were numbered with 3 digit numbers that were NOT on the color chart. 7 of them were in your list of 10 but the other 6 were different from your list. I wrote to them as well, I hope to hear from them. Its really brilliant colors and I love them... I hope that they will get back to both of us on the mystery pencils. I hesitate to use them in art until I know about the lightfastness.

Hi Kalai, I just updated the video description to include a new note about the color chart provided by another artist. I have a blog post with an updated chart selection where there are 24 "new" 3-digit color numbers. Hopefully the 6 colors you could not identify are on the list: potatoartstudios.com/2021/06/09/koh-i-noor-gioconda-pastel-pencil-a-comprehensive-review-guide/

@@PotatoArtStudios Thank you for getting back to me about this. Its a great blog post. Unfortunately, I am most keen to get lightfastness information and (as you say in your blog) it seems they don't provide that for these "mystery" pencils or "pencils with 3 digit color" numbers. I am worried this means they are actually not very good lightfastness and if this is so, than they are rather useless for art use. That would be too bad since they really are brilliant colors and I love the level of softness/hardness of the pencils. I hope someone will do a lightfastness test or we will hear from Koh-i-noor. Until I get more information on that, its going to sit in back of my drawer.

@@artiskalai1970 I completely understand your concerns with the unknown lightfastness ratings. I find it hard to imagine that they would formulate their new pencils with a non-lightfast formula, but we won't know until there is an official announcement. I have my 'mystery' colors in storage for now. When I have an update, I'll be sure to share the info on my website.
