Thanks for another great video Zach. Most interesting and enjoyable. Drain tile. Oh boy. Been there done that. We always had trouble with our tile system being destroyed by the beavers and tree roots. I do understand your situation. Looks like a long stretch of tile to deal with. Wow. Better plan that one out. Putting those tracks back on the skid loader is not easy job. Wow. Seems that should be easier that it looks. Hats off to all of you as you got it done. Wow. Big job. Good going guys. Good teamwork. Sure hope your ground drys soon. Really late planting this season. Can understand why you are nervous. Wow. May 22bd already!!!!! No crops in the ground. Hang in there Larsons. Soon should be going. You all take care and be safe. Looking forward to the next video. Thanks for everything. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Doug look up a company called Insituform. They can re-line pipes without digging them up. They are used for sewer pipes and water mains all over that have cracked and are filled with roots.
I no it's hard work but dang it I wish my grandpa left me such.! I like watching you guys getting it done on the scale you do. Came along way since the beginning
I feel Dougo's frustration. Some years ago I spent an entire spring and most of the summer battling a beaver family determined to plug two culverts under a single-lane road. I eventually won but what a fight. They would work on plugging the culverts at night and I would unplug them and remove the branches and debris in the morning. They finally gave up and moved a couple miles east: no longer my problem! Thanks for another great video.
The grease fitting for the track tensioner can be tight when refilling with grease we have a t770 also and I swap tracks every spring and fall from mud tracks to snow tracks
I must watch to many videos because I dreamed I worked for ya'll and me and Dougo was tearing out beaver dams and replacing covert pipes. Then I wake up to reality but that should something about how much I love your content. God bless many prayers and stay safe.
I sold Cat and other forklifts for too many years...there is a company, still in existence, called MITCO tire, that used to offer a hi-flotation tire, read wider, to fit on CAT lifts, been retired forever, but they are still there, call em' for a effective tire option, regards
Thanks Dougo for putting a date stamp on this video. Not being able to seed by May 22nd is a big deal. Being behind on May 9th. Not so much. I am sure you guys are probably just about done by now. Hopefully.
Nope, they got hit by a massive storm and now their Grain Bin is broken, one even collapsed… I think they just did half a day of seeding, before it started raining again. Gotta follow them on Instagram, you get lots of behind-the-scenes!
@@lucajung9518 I do follow them on instagram that is how I knew Chet’s videos are so far behind. The bin problems might not have effected seeding as it is something they can’t fix themselves any way. They may have to wait months for replacements.
I don’t like messing with tracks. Looks like Dougo has his hands full with the beavers again. Good video today I really hope you can get into the fields soon. God bless and be safe
Thank you Chet Eric Broodie Dougo and yea Randy that was great bobcat repaired and now tree problem roots blocking up tile drain but Dougo and Randy get to bottom of it.cant wait to see what happens.
Definitely need to watch Andrew Camarata’s videos he comes up with some interesting ways to do the job. He also said bobcats are not the greatest units out there. Liked the video and the struggles when you take us along. Have a great day!
You guys should get one of these Prinoth M450s-1600 Skid Steer Mulcher heads for your skid steers to help maintain your waterways and tile outlets, fence lines, approaches, and just a lot of other fun things. check them out I think you will have a lot of fun with this implement. There are a lot of different dealers and heads out there so whatever suits your needs. they even make them for your backhoe for getting downhills.
My driveway culvert was the old 30" galvanized pipe like yours, and had the same problem of the bottom rusting away. It was a big under taking but I replaced it with HDPE pipe. Plus I extended it on both ends the allow more yard and safety from driving in.
We were told it was a several hour job and we put brand new tracks on my uncle's loader in a hour. We had a pole to push with on a second loader and it was slick.
Is there a video coming out about the history of Larson farms. Zach and his dad did one and it was very interesting to hear the story of homesteading the far in the 1800s up to now. Anyways give it a thought as things get slow this winter
Dougo - set bait stations just about everywhere near where tree rats are active. You can make all-weather bait stations out of pvc pipe, some baseplate timber, coated wire (from the junk bin), cup hooks (even bent nails). Sling poison baits on the wire, and you should find the problem diminishing by the day. Bait stations can be used almost anywhere, the only consideration being downstream effect on animals (eg. Toby) that might eat poisoned carcasses.
You need someone with a portable pressure washer sewer jetter setup like the Drain Addict and the Penetrator on You Tube have to run up the drain tile and tear out the roots. A DC43 nozzle would clear the roots. The Aussies seem to have the best equipment because they have trees with very aggressive roots. Maybe someone in your area would be interested in starting a company to do that. I'm sure there are a lot of farmers with the same problem.
Chet we need some more Dougo and gotta get some Randy vision. He does a bunch on the farm that we just don't hear about. I thought for sure Dougo was gonna say "I'm too old for this $@#t!" When he was messing with that culvert.
Tordon, has been classified as Category E - “evidence of non-carcinogenicity to humans” by the EPA (the most favorable classification possible), and has been found to be “practically nontoxic” to mammals, birds, and honeybees.
Dougo Organic Hemp Oil for Skin Cancer twice to three time a day apply on areas were need its oily just work it in a bit gently 😀 you will be a happy camper- farmer 🚜

Be careful around those beavers, they can get rabies. Aquachigger got bit by one metal detecting, fortunately his wife is a vet, and he already had a rabis vaccine, and only needed to get two shots. He called the health department, and sent the head in, and it was positive for rabis. I had to dispatch a couple rabid raccoons, luckily no one got bit, shot them about a week ago over here in michigan. God bless.
Crazy it took you guys two forklifts and three guys to put that track on that skid steer my neighbor has a skid steer and I helped him and it was just me and him a pry bar and the machine and we did it

I liked seeing them working together too. I bet they did that together as teens too. I think they can and will remove the issue, but I think they have to bring a backhoe in, if I understood Dougo, and they will want to notify the landlord first, before digging. That's how I heard it. I could be way off though. I hope this helps.

Enjoyed watching Dougo with the camera!! 👍👍
.....boy! That finger snapping trick is handy!
Lots of water now. I pray you get a break and get started farming soon

Milwaukee now makes a pruning blade 5TPI. Very sharp for soft wood or bush. I see the metal blade came out. Backhoe time.
Glad to see we are not the only ones with Beaver problems every spring.
Welkers video is pretty handy on track replacement
Praying for you guys that the weather will cooperate so you can start planting!!
I will buy a Larson Farm shirt the day y'all use the tilt on the forklift. Fine adjustment.
Welker Farms has a really good video about skidsteer track changing.
Dougo - thank you for sharing your aquaculture farm 😐 we really do wish we could help hold ourselves.
Ohhhh how the upcoming content's gonna get interesting
Praying you guys get your culvert problem solved. I know Dougo not gonna play around with those beavers. Blessing to you all.
Larson farms: Watch Andrew Camarata's video on placing tracks on skid steer loaders. He makes it look easy!
That guy is something else. He can fix anything.
If you use Andrew's methods, be prepared to use a chainsaw!
Bobcat has many how to vids on You Tube also
When they started this in the last video I was like Andrew can do this in the mud by himself what are they crying about lol.
He also dislikes bobcats…
Great video Chet!! But, missed Toby!!!

Should put in a GMRS repeater and antenna up on the top of the grain leg. That will give you some range.
We use one of those on Lake Michigan where I sail it has increased our range dramatically.
Support me "Khad dalne ka machine" ruclips.net/video/adUZedKSp20/видео.html
Ya, I help with several amateur radio repeaters as well fun to get them install and see the range
are those radios UHF that's all we use in Australia for farmers and truckers.
I hope the next video has Doug working his favorite tool. Those dang beavers will learn who is BOSS!
Praying it gets easier for you all soon. Rough start equals great finish!

Way to go Dougo, some one needs to teach the youngsters.

My driveway culvert was the old 30" galvanized pipe like yours, and had the same problem of the bottom rusting away. It was a big under taking but I replaced it with HDPE pipe. Plus I extended it on both ends the allow more yard and safety from driving in.
Beavers love to chee up plastic pipe.
Does fertilizer contribute to the rust on that galvanized pipe?
I work at the foundry that makes those sprockets.
Bobcat should put that method in their manual ,slick as can be !
We were told it was a several hour job and we put brand new tracks on my uncle's loader in a hour. We had a pole to push with on a second loader and it was slick.
Bobcats are money traps. First you replace a drive motor, next a set of tracks, and finally, all of the hydraulic hoses before needing an engine.

Hey Dougo the drumsticks on Sandhill Cranes are easier to hang on to. You can use 2 hands. Was it that bad before tile went in?
Beavers love box elder. It's tasty

Dang beavers are trouble. They just destroy alot. Good video. For that hard of work for tracks been time to replace with new lol.
