You know the problem with your vids is that you make sure everything sounds amazing. A bank account can only handle so many purchases lol! Great job man!
Yeah, no surprise really, sounded absolutely amazing! Exactly what you would expect from Dave! It's all there and fantastic playing as per usual Mr Neilson! You rock!
OMG when you lowered the gain... Tone heaven! Still perfect clarity and chime... openness. I've got one on the way now, thanks to this great overview. Thanks!
@BigHairyGuitars have you tried it direct with Two Notes or built in IR's in DAW? Seems most reviews I find are using power amp through miked speaker and I can't do that at home in the studio :)
Wow... Can you do some series on production? I'd love to see a tour of the logic tracks and how you produced the intro song. How did you choose and create the drum sound and beat? Superior Drummer? How and where did you use compression, eq, delay, or reverb? What effects are on the master and other busses? How many guitar tracks are there? Did you play bass? If so, how did you record it? Besides the guitar gear and your axe skills, why else does this sound so good? What mixing and mastering magic did you use?
This is the best sounding demo of these modules I've heard, yet.... Sounds beautiful. Although, I'm sure you answered this question already, but what are you running this module through? What power amp? Incredibly, well done.
Brilliant demo and track. Is there any wild chance that you'd be willing to share your Logic file with us mortals that are still learning how to record and mix? I'm sure you use plugins that I/we don't have but this would be a great learning tool if it can be done! Subscriber. Purchaser of your Kemper Profiles. Always impressed.
Superb video as always, I need to get the module for sure but man, the song - KILLER! Love your songs and productions Michael, fantastic job. I would love to see a in depth tutorial how you recorded and mixed this one. Cheers!
Sounds amazing. Love the playing. Do you think this would work well with a Fayette Powerstation as main power amp, so I can use it at home and with the Band.
Do these sound good recorded direct from the syn1 with an impulse or do they need some kind of power amp emulation. I’ve only ever worked with recording traditional amps through a load box.
Where is the section with the low gain structure in HBE mode? 13:15 Blue channel BE mode continues until suddenly 13:48 Red Channel HBE mode which we have not heard.
I think, more importantly, you need to find a GOOD one. Be sure to try some of the higher end Epiphone's as well, because the Ep quality is fantastic these days!
@@BigHairyGuitars I love the friedman sound for sure, but I absolutely adore fryette pitbull and soldano too. Thats why I'm considering an used syn-1. Too much great stuff around!
This is a good option. Even if high gain isn't your thing, the low gain structure switch really changes the vibe and delivers awesome low and mid gain British tones.
IMO, the BE100 head is more open and I feel a little more connected to the head format. It's not a slight on the SYN stuff, which is AWESOME. But if you're specifically talking BE. I would also look into the Friedman IR-X which is sick. If a SYN is 90% BE, the IR-X is 95% BE, and a BE-100 is 100% BE.
@@BigHairyGuitars That's my problem with all the synergy stuff. It's not very open feeling and has a bit of muddyness. I have the syn 50 head, so maybe it's better in the syn 2- power amp format. Sounds pretty darn good, but it's missing that 10% imo
Mr. Michael, that was truly a good demo. Keep up the good work. I am a session guitarist here in Greece. What about to do a demo for the DSM simplifier mkii? You are the RUclipsr that can give the right example for gear, so what if I ask you a favor about this? haha! To do something like 2-3 guitars (HH - HSS - HSOKSDJSJD? I mean the modern guitars), check the simplifier and then Synergy preamps or rack preamps with the power amp of simplifier and the cabs? (Plus some effects if you want) Please I need it from you (and all of us probably). Then come for holidays in Greece and you can live in my house. Hahaha, thanks for everything.
I just did! Syn 2, Vai module, Bogner Ubershall and this Friedman BE DLX!! Don’t have the power amp yet and and it still sound fantastic with the DI out.
@@BigHairyGuitars oh yeah, you’re right. Now I remember seeing the video as being put up by Synergy. Seems like they took it down. You should do a comparison video. Compare a module running into the VHT power amp to the real head. I have a VHT Classic, and I’ve been a Randall and custom module guy for a long time. I get great sounds with my rig, but I have the opinion that although close, it’s not quite the same. Seems like separate preamp/power amp doesn’t quite have the same response as a head. Although, I have a Rocktron Valvesonic Plexi preamp, and I put it in JTM mode running through my VHT, and compared it to my Germino head (it’s pretty much a copy of a JTM 45) and I honestly could hear or feel very very little difference. Also, you should do a video of a TC 1210. (I’ve seen your chorus comparison video…great stuff)

Oh get out of town! Thanks Brett!!!
Let's goooooo!
We are waiting for your video about this module too 😊
That intro jam was the perfect hard rock sound and it reminded me of good old nickelback productions that were KILLER
I like how I can see your wheels turning about how whatever gear your testing will fit into a mix as opposed to a bedroom tone
Woke up this morning, realized it was release day. Hit youtube to find Michael's video and here it was. boom. Awesome demo track as always.
😁Thanks!
That creamy woman toned lick to end the first solo was devastating!
That tone is insane. But let's give credit where credit is due. Michael Nielsen's tunage always fucking SLAPS HARD! Dud is a Musician's muscian!
Thank you brother! 🤘
As always. Kick ass! Playing is great, songs are awesome and mixes are fantastic. Please do a mix demo so we can learn how you make it sound so great!
Yeah, no surprise really, sounded absolutely amazing! Exactly what you would expect from Dave! It's all there and fantastic playing as per usual Mr Neilson! You rock!

I enjoy everything you produce, but I really enjoyed the podcast/interview you did with Leon and his podcast partner(?) on their channel. 🤘😎👍
Thanks Timothy! That was super fun!
Damn that thing sounds awesome...incredible technology.
Your demos are some of the best (if not the best) on RUclips! I always get excited when I get a new video notification!
@BigHairyGuitars have you tried it direct with Two Notes or built in IR's in DAW?
Seems most reviews I find are using power amp through miked speaker and I can't do that at home in the studio :)
Sounds killer Mike as usual. Friedman is my second favorite amp line, this module sounds awesome.
Thanks! What's your first?
Wizards. They just have that diode skronk that I love.
Crazy sustain on those chords.
Killer opening tune and MAN that character on the palm mutes. 👊😤🤤
Incredible opening tune Michael. Sounds amazing and your playing is top notch. Only thing left to say is thank you man!
Fat and high gain sounded incredible !
Your songs are always so incredible and well produced.
Sounds great as usual. Great production
Thanks! Much appreciated!

Thanks. I'll do a production walk through on this.
Sounds almost as good as the Jake E Lee 20 watt head. Great video!
man that LP just sounds so HUGE
It's a great guitar for sure! Lollar Imperial pickups. Fantastic combination!
Killer tone and that intro tune is absolutely SICK!!!!!
Woo hoo, killer track Mr Neilsen! What a smorgasbord of tone!
This is the riff’s I dream to play every time I take my guitar 🎸🤘🏼
I knew your demo would be awesome. It was!

You SOLD another one here bro!
Sounds great and the intro tune was really cool.
Great opening jam!
:) Thanks!!!
Another high quality Nielsen / Synergy vid. I sold all my amps after I discovered Helix but I would buy a Synergy
What a blaze! Loved it and I know nothing about Synergy but I know this sounded great
Darn it Mike, you are a good player.
Thanks David!
whew, sweet intro. Great hands.
Thank you kindly!
Killer demo tune
Sounds so good with Les Paul.. what a fat sounds.
Wow, mad skills there!! Awesome!!!

Sounds hotter than a 2 dollar pistol! Brutal track! I need to start getting some grown up tones like you.
very articulate with plenty of sustain and smoothness. A very hard combination I'm trying to get.
Sounds terrific.
That Donner guitar that's under the station wagon deserves a college try. 😉
I have the BEBB I’m sure there is more gain in this one but I do like the clean in the BB section
I was thinking about getting a twin sister now I'm thinking of getting a synergy and feeling it with friedman modules
Both are great options. BUT, you can get a Twin Sister, and a Syn-1 and run the preamps through the Twin Sister, which sounds AWESOME!
Awesome playing, awesome amp!
Should I get this for my new Synergy Syn1 and perhaps sell my Friedman IRx
Nice! And you’re getting Kiké back too. Christmas in July for Nielsen.
Dude, seriously. Made me SO happy!
Hell Yeah 🍻 Tones are "to good" as always 🤘
Gantastic riggahe and playing as well as tones Mike. Just killer stuff. I have enough hear, but I do love hearing More gear.
Killer track, man, awesome.
Good day always good to here your amazing sound no matter what gadget your using
Great playing as always 👍
Great playing man.
Review a Gorilla and Pignose next. I would love to hear what you could create with those!
Tone master. Always sounds great, and you're a killer player/writer. This unit sounds great, might have to go Synergy, thx Michael
THANKS! The Synergy stuff is for realz. Great stuff!
Awesome video! Loved it! Sounds great, and awesome chops man!

It will work fine with the Fryette.

2:16 - Gawd DANG dude
"Beeeeeeeyaaaaaaaaoowwwwwwwwwwwwwww" fun with whammy bars!
Awesome vid. The question is, the synergy with a captor x or the friedman irx?
Sounds good. But a bit too polished. Why I like rawer Marshall’s. They cut better and sound more aggressive.
Have more dynamics.
Now that there has a BIG pair of 80’s balls!
HAHA! Thanks Jim!
Michael - how does this sound through the powerstation as a power amp? Would you use the line in or the loop in? Thanks!
killer tune dude!

Great demo vid Michael. Doesn’t sound right with 6L6 power though.
Glad they released this module though, smart move
Beautiful!!
Think it definitely sounds better than the BE, but if you already own a BE, not too sure it makes sense to have both of these.
Should I get a Les Paul Classic or a Standard? This video inspires me to get one. Any thoughts or feedback is appreciated.
I think, more importantly, you need to find a GOOD one. Be sure to try some of the higher end Epiphone's as well, because the Ep quality is fantastic these days!
@@BigHairyGuitars whoa! thank you for the insight!
Very nice video!
I would like to have your opinion on this synergy module vs Friedman ir-x preamp.
Thanks!
I prefer the IR-X, but I LOVE the Synergy module in it's low gain switch mode.
Which would be better plugged into a daw and out to studio monitors: this module and syn chassis, OR that new friedman preamp?
They would be similar. If you love the Friedman sound, I'd go IRX, but if you like to switch up your tones often, the Synergy is perfect for that.
@@BigHairyGuitars I love the friedman sound for sure, but I absolutely adore fryette pitbull and soldano too. Thats why I'm considering an used syn-1. Too much great stuff around!
SICK !!!!!
Michael, when are you going to come out with decals for the back window of my car? Gotta have the Amp Smasher logo in a decal ;)
Pete who? This guy knows riffs AND demos. 💥 Boom!
Are these units actually this noisy? Or is there something else going on?
Thinking of getting the synergy 50 watt head with 2 modules...the Bassman and ?
This is a good option. Even if high gain isn't your thing, the low gain structure switch really changes the vibe and delivers awesome low and mid gain British tones.
@@BigHairyGuitars ... Thanks for your videos and thoughts! I think I'll take your advice.
Don't sleep on the Fryette Deliverance module!
As a synergy owner, i definitely still have fear of missing out. Might sell my syn 50 and modules for a real be100 deluxe

I have been considering Synergy for several years. Should I sell it all and go Synergy?

I just did! Syn 2, Vai module, Bogner Ubershall and this Friedman BE DLX!! Don’t have the power amp yet and and it still sound fantastic with the DI out.
Sounds very much like a Plexie / with the low gain switched on and with the fat switch on !*_*)
how long has this been out?
4 hours
What happened to the video you put up earlier today?
This is the same video. Synergy accidentally put up the video as well. It was only supposed to be on my channel.

Time to sell my BE-BB module.
I wish I had any understanding of how any of this works and why it exists instead of a be100
Oh no, are you running out of slots in your Burns Case yet ;)
Killer intro riff. Are there tabs available?
Amp Smasher Band you and Pete Thorn
