- Even though it’s mostly remembered as a stop-gap between the original black and white Game Boy and the true next generation Game Boy Advance, I think the Nintendo Game Boy Color is much more interesting than it seems! It’s not just a colorized version of the original handheld, it’s actually a bit beefier than its predecessor, which gave birth to games much more visually and mechanically interesting than what came before. I have here 30 complete in box games, including Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil Gaiden, The Legend of Zelda Oracle games and more!

I love seeing those boxes! I recently got one of those larger IPS screens for my gameboy color and have almost finished playing Dragon Warrior Monsters 2 for the first time. Love how bright and colorful everything is on the system in general.
Ah the Gameboy Color, my first gaming device I ever owned! My collection is pretty small and I don't even want to THINK about the condition the boxes are in, but I love my games with all my heart. Wario Land 3 is my favourite game for the handheld and I hope one day to see another Wario Land game be released. Great collection video Craig!

Great video! I'm surprised you don't have any more of the cheap clear box protectors like you do with Survival Kids! Makes them look shiny and new and helps them stand uniformly if they have seen some damage
Survival Kids is fantastic. Exploring the island, managing resources, AND several different endings.

I still need that Bionic Commando Elite Forces, I only learned of its existence like three weeks ago!! Og Bionic Commando is my fav NES game and one of my all time fav games ever!
I Still own the Game Boy Color since 1998-1999 it Released 10 Months after I was Born it was my Older Sister's Atomic Purple one she just Gave it to me Along with 2 Games such as Tony Hawk's Pro Skater and Turok: Rage Wars I lost my Loose Cartridge of Pro Skater but I still had Turok and then one Day my Game Boy Color got Stolen at my Old Apartment back in 2006 or 2007 along with Turok (which was in my Game Boy) so that was gone too so about 5 to 6 Years Later I Bought another one with my Own Money to Replace my Original one that got Stolen because how much I missed it this time I got the Grape one, went back, and Started playing it all over again and I was happy about that so I just Rediscovered the GBC when I Finished the 8th Grade and when I was getting ready to start High School so the thing is I picked up another Loose Cartridge of Pro Skater from my Local Used Game Store (which is no Longer in Business) and Started playing that Game all over again and I was happy to that and I picked up another Loose Cartridge of Turok from Amazon a Couple Years Ago along with a few other Games since my Original Cartridge got Stolen Years Ago and I missed playing that Game so I'm happy that I got back into playing that Game after all these Years so that's my Story about the Game Boy Color Best Handheld Game System ever I love that thing
I feel like they missed the mark with Super Mario Bros. Deluxe. Sure, it's pixel perfect and has extra content but it all falls apart when you actually try and play it and can't see more five or so blocks ahead. Wish they had included an option to zoom out the graphics somehow.
Yeah, I don’t disagree. It’s a nice novelty, but far from the ideal way to play the game.
Why didn't you buy the reprint of Shantae from Limited Run?
The answer to that is a little… inconsistent. The truth is, I don’t like the original Shantae. I did actually own it back in the day, and have since replayed it on the 3DS virtual console, and just never cared for it. So if I were to actually own it, it would be solely for its value as a notable title in the Game Boy Color library (not for its monetary value, to be clear), and for me, that would have to be the original release, not the LRG re-release. I don’t know if that makes sense, feels a bit silly to me even, but that’s how I feel and also why I’ve never bought it: who wants to shell out that kind of money for a game they don’t actually like? lol not me.

pre Nintendo DS lite - I think they're all pretty bad. any handheld without backlight, and only batteries as power supply are destined to produce head-aches..
