  • Today we will show you how we cleaned out the sprayer arm on our kenmore dishwasher. Our dishwasher was not cleaning the dishes. We took out the sprayer arms and noticed they were all clogged. We will show you how we unclogged the sprayer arms in our kenmore dishwasher. It is common to have clogged filters or sprayers. We tried to clean the filter and sprayer arm to get our dishwasher to clean the dishes again. It was helpful for us to clean the sprayer arm so water can release from the sprayer. If you have any questions, leave comments below and we would love to answer them. This was the answer to our dishes not getting clean. Can't believe the amount of junk in the spray arms especially because I put my dishes in the dishwasher pretty much already clean. I thought I needed a new dishwasher until this video. A big thank you!

I am so glad it helped! It is amazing how much junk can get clogged in the sprayers. Thanks for the nice comment! Good luck with future projects!

Thanks for this video. I found broken glass INSIDE both the top and bottom spray arms! It took a while, but I got it all out by shaking and banging them, running water through the little holes, and breaking up the pieces inside using a paperclip, xacto knife and tweezers. :)

Pipe cleaners or a small bottle brush / straw cleaning brush that can fit in the jets helps loosen things too. Ours had a general layer of film coating the inside of the arm.
Once loosened, I would slosh the water back and forth in the arm and use needle nose pliers to grab the bigger chunks of gunk or dish washer pod plastic.

I wish I could just open the upper sprayer arm. Would be so much easier!

There must be a way to open it up. I just haven't figured out how to do it yet without breaking it.
