Is the high loop in the drain hose really necessary. Mine doesn't have it and it's not cleaning good.

Yes. It keeps the dirty water from back flowing back into the dishwasher. Look for "air gap" (RUclips probably has videos, or just Google it).

Dishwashers do not depend on the incoming water being hot. They have their own water heating system to take care of that. Preheating incoming water is a waste of water and energy.

Actually a good dishwater has a garbage disposal. Buy a bosch
