I was choosing between g9 and em1 mark ii. Went with the mark ii in the end as there was a price drop matching g9 price and i found central auto focus bit more accurate in focus.
I truly appreciate how you put the details of each photo. It helps with making lens comparisons. Though, may i ask whats your opinion of the x vario 12-35/35-100mm lenses vs 12-60 leica? I dont like the lieca cause its too big and I like it because it appears on some cases that the images are sharper.. idk. What do you think?

All images where either 200 or 400 iso. If you shot fast moving subjects like birds in flight or a cheetah running you have to bounce up that iso quite a bit. Will the image quality hold up then? I’m talking about over iso 2000 and up to 6400.
Good to know, I'm sure our mileage will vary, the new tech is all full frame for image quality at high ISO and I just have to wonder if it's really all that noticeable in real world use
Some nice shots there, magic place - you were lucky to see cheetah & cubs especially. Was that Ngala & beyond ? ( I think I recognise the spotter - looks like Golden )
Nice images but if I'm being honest, it seems like these shots could have been taken in a zoo. I'm desperately trying to find out how this systems AF performance is with fast moving subjects but there really isn't anything out there. Bummer. Thought this one would be the one.
Nothing in the market can match Nikon D5 and its baby D500, they are the beast that no one come close, the best Full frame sensor AF camera and the best APS-C (DX) sensor respectively. Teh G9 might be good, but it can't match the D500 accuracy.
Carlos Rosa So what who cares it's not about the equipment. Most people take photos with their cellphones. I like Panasonic as a company and they are doing good things with their cameras.
Good for you, I have being shooting with Nikon for over 27 years and just made a switch to the new Sony A7III and Love it, and that's why companies sell, people are different, they have different preferences and they do have a completely different budgets, what really makes me laugh is how people take personally just because they have some particular equipment. I have Sony now, I love it, but hey, Nikon D750 is a 4 years old camera and still one of the best and Nikon D850 is by far the best DSRL camera in the market, but the Canon fan boys will argue that because people always want to have the felling of have the best system. I have a buddy that want to get into photography, well, I said to him, the best for the bucket is Nikon D750, great price, great lenses and you'll save some money, since he loves my camera but don't have all the money to afford the system as a whole, Sony lenses are way too expensive. So enjoy your Panasonic.
Yet another camera for all those millions of people wanting to take hummingbirds mating in mid-flight at 30fps. Meanwhile schmucks like me who take one photo at a time of still or slow moving objects, like landscapes or people, get to buy expensive cameras packed with features we don't want or need.

I compared the GH5 to my 7DII at ISO 1600, the image quality looked identical, even boosting shadows.

You can watch our more in-depth test of the G9 here: ruclips.net/video/OVVL3OJ32nk/видео.html
Amazing photos and videos! I have had and still have Nikon cameras, but am thinking of getting something different, this seems like a cool camera.
You would be wise to research the price of Panasonic's and Olympus's lenses such as the one used here, they are ridiculous.
Santa Brings my G9 as a brother for my GX8 ....can hardly wait🎅🏽
Lovely Fotos but next time slow down your intervall so that I can enjoy them longer 👍
G9 giveaway?
Your shots have demonstrated its outstanding autofocus performance, nothing in the market today can match it...wow

Well, if it is beyond what you need then you surely don't have to buy it.
