I've been waiting for this software for a long time. Have even considered programming some aspects myself. This is the final bridge between print and video journalism. There is no longer any excuse for writers not to add video into their work product. As always, an excellent overview! If anything, almost too much to comprehend all at once. I hope you do more on this software.

Great review! Do you find the quality of the video when using a cam link is lower than just recording to SD card? I did. But maybe it’s not a big enough difference to spend the extra time recoding to SD.
That was something I was wondering about. Premiere Pro beta still hasn't rolled out the features showcased here, so Adobe has to be taking notice that they are playing catch-up.
Do you think you can do a video on how to make your videos more engaging? For example you have probably learned many tips with small transitions every 6 seconds to regain focus of your audience. Your edits are amazing and would love to see a video on what you have learned

I had already heard about that software a while ago, thinking "that's impressive, what's the catch?" Well, it seems there is no catch. Congrats on this very impressive video.
The unfortunate thing about Descript is it doesn't support SRT/VTT file to use in replace of just writing. Though While writing straight on screen is also good but if I have a script in SRT/VTT format with timing, pause and spacing already fixed, I can't use it on Descript. It's just cumbersome to do all that especially when you are syncing it to an existing video. Maestra is way better in that area but very expensive. Descript is good no doubt but it's not foe me considering what I'm looking for in the app. I'm new by the way.

We are aware of the desire for Descript to support Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin, and other languages, and we are excited to offer it one day. Unfortunately, multi language support is not scheduled for the near future."

I just used the $30 per month plan today for the first time. I am extremely disappointed. I had previously watched over 3 hours of RUclips Videos on it and thought this would be a game changer. However, what I ended up with was a mess of what I started with and just portions of what I tried to put in with the edits. This is beyond disappointing. I should have just been able to edit the text and it should have saved what I did, but it was just a jumbled mess. Very different from your results. I have tried to send Descript the entire file. The audio problem was my fault. Any advice would be appreciated.

what if people speak poor english? or other languages? will it still be efficient or is it gonna be more work to actually correct all of those errors?
