Will Chase was Roger in RENT final Broadway cast, was in SMASH on TV and now in Nashville on TV. Steven Pasquale is married to Phillippa Soo now on Broadway in Hamilton as Eliza. He is on Broadway in the Robber Bridegroom
This is my favorite male duet. Ironically, my favorite female duet is "In His Eyes" from Jekyll/Hyde. Lily's Eyes and In His Eyes have similarities both musically and lyrically. Although Lily's Eyes has more musical theatre sensibility and In His Eyes has more pop sentiment. Both are amazing though.
Hearing this I think Will Chase would be AMAZING in/as Jekyll and Hyde. I mean I've seen him in Rent as Roger so I know what awesomeness he'd bring to the role. It would be magical!!
SADNESS. The guy singing Dr. Craven's part is Will Chase, who went on to play John Jasper in the Broadway revival of the Mystery of Edwin Drood. Imagine Jasper and Edwin singing this song about Rosa.. It would be so fitting and so depressing. Imagine Jasper sitting alone in his room, long after Rosa and Edwin have split and gone their separate ways, thinking about how he could have loved Rosa; how he could have changed for her and become a better man. Imagine him looking across the room at his flask and opium, and realizing the monster he had become. Imagine him sobbing over letting that Monster control him to the point of losing the only woman he loved, and coming close to killing his only family, his nephew. "I longed for the day she'd turn and see me standing there, would God had let her stay." See in your mind, Edwin wishing he had loved Rosa while he had her, knowing he could have grown to be the man she needed. UGHHHH FEEELLSSS
That was disgustingly good.
As much I love this, my favourite is Anthony Warlow and Philip Quast.
I feel like Steven Pascquale is going to swallow the microphone if he’s not careful 🤣 absolutely incredible!!!!

Jekyll and Hyde is so grossly underrated.
@@carpelucem Agreed. I LOVE Jekyll and Hyde.
Can't decide if I love this version best, or Ramin Karimloo and Cheyenne Jackson! Absolutely incredible, especially Pasquale! 😍
I wouldn't say I forgot... That's a great version, but these two are definitely my favorites.
Both are great versions because the four singers are excellent,
This version is Wonderful!
......but ... *nothing* will compare to Mandy and Robert
😎😎😎
Oh my god... my life is complete!!! Those voices are just out of this world, and both of them singing together...I have no words!!!
These guys are just incredible. Bravo.
Wow! What a surprise to see Will Chase here. I had only seen him on "Nashville".

Will chase is so versatile what the hell!! He really puts the the rumour of ‘people are only suited to certain styles’ to rest.
Oh my goodness these guys were absolutely amazing!!!!!! 😳🙉🙆
No contest. They are both equally spectacular.
I delight in their BRILLIANT AND INNOVATIVE use of a slightly higher/faster tempo-New LIFE has been found in this lovely piece! Excellent work!
Absolutely gorgeous!
I'm a Will Chase fan. I love his acting and singing🙂
Saw Secret Garden last night and can't listen to this song without weeping uncontrolably - BRAVO!
Thanks for uploading! They are wonderful. I agree: this should have thousands of more views than it does. Great emotion and singing!! :)
Ahhh I love both of them so much!
God this is beautiful
SPEECHLESS❤️👏👏👏👏👏
I really love this video. Thank you for posting.
I saw the secret garden musical in Chicago twice and once in Atlanta
This is definitely the best version. Wish I could find a more professional recording of these two. Love it!!
they both looked like they were in pain haha but an amazing duet!
Maddie Taylor well it's a pretty painful song. gotta get in character!
Very nice
Bravo
Guy on the left almost ate the mic off at 3:15 lol
This version is wonderful but don't discount the one with Mandy Patinkin
It's the last note for me.
This is great, but I think I prefer the Karimloo/Jackson because Pasquale and Chase sped up too much at the end

Good gravy, guys. Save some voice for the rest of us!
The guy on the left looks like Will Ferrell lol. Great performance though
Jesus.
I always thought that this song was really creepy when sung in the musical.
