- In this video I show you guys how to create Arcade UCE files to use with the AtGames Legends Ultimate Arcade. I show you how to create a single UCE file and also how to create multiple files in a batch. I also go over the steps to use the new and amazing CionOpsX feature!

Downloaded the AddOn tool. Running Windows 7x64 and it says the program is incompatible with the version of Windows. Guessing this requires Windows 10 per chance?

I may need to use this tutorial at a later date. SaUCE 4.5 is nice and all, but it's missing some games I remember from my youth, like Rockola's Eyes. Also Lizard Wizard, but I don't think anyone really remembers that one fondly.
God tier tutorial, the spreadsheet for me is really handy because I work a lot with Data Base and upload data in batches in the same way, but as you say, the other way is more worthy because all the flavor that adds to the experience, it looks part of it and not something that one just added.

Shere how did you open it up? I have excel and the file asked me to extract it but it wont come up?
I can't get the batch starter kit to download. And when I downloaded the ROMs, I can't get the copy path button to work. Am I just having issues?

Can this same process be used for NES/SNES/SEGA roms, cores, bezel art, etc. that I have?
CSV file is a Comma Separated Values file that can be dos or excel versions.
When you opened the libretro folder I see at the top 4DO. I did not get that in my folder. where can I find this. I have yet to see 3DO on the ALU but would like to try.

What if you don't have box art for a specific game?
It doesn't appear that any of these tools have been ported for use on a Mac. In fact, I can't find any of the needed software for creating collections and adding games through USB drives or streaming to a Legends Ultimate cabinet using a Mac. That is ... unless I were to run windows on my Mac ... something I don't want to do. Or, is there something somewhere that I'm missing?
I tried using the cores in ur description, and it kept giving me an error message when trying to create the UCE file..
hi bro, very good video just one question, i did everything you said but in the field that i most select the core it says that " selected emulation core is not an arm aarch 64 compatible library file" and that happend with absolutely all cores i downloaded, i downloaded i think all but still the same, can you help me?

How do I add more roms to an already created UCE
I can't seem to get my UCE files to work in CoinOpsX. I loaded in the video file, marquee and logo, all of which show up and work. But when I click on the game, it doesn't load.
I can get the game loading in the AddOnX tab, so I know the UCE actually works - just not in CoinOpsX.
Anyone have any idea what I'm missing?
Ok, I figured out some of the lingo, found the addonx tool, and downloaded it. I still can't get the batch starter kit working, anyone else having problems with it? I need a wise Yoda to help me. I just bought the legends ultimate and have a bunch of work to do, please help if anyone is out there. How do we know which emulators work with which games?

I built a big collection a while back, but after I uploaded the firmware of my legends gamer, most of my roms no longer load. Looking at your tutorial, I don't remember ever having to edit csv files at all. Sadly, I can't find the files I used to build everything.
As the only source I've found that covers how to actually make UCE files, I was wondering if it is possible to change major emulation settings within a UCE file.
Specifically, I want to set up vector games to render at the LCD's full vertical resolution instead of at the game's "native resolution" of 1024x768 or 640x480 or whatever. Native resolution isn't really a thing for vector games, and the preference for "pixel perfect" output I've seen demonstrates a horrible misunderstanding of how vector games work.
A vector game rendered at 1440x1080 or 1280x960 would generate sharper and less aliased vectors that are closer to the reality of a vector machine than one rendered at 640x480 and then upscaled to 1440x1080, and that is the experience I want.
do you still need to do this with the latest addonx tool?
You don't say where you get the Box Art and Bezel Art files from. I want to convert a C+64 d64 file to UCE, any advice?
The new 8bitdo arcade stick does not work on this sadly...
how do you know which emulator core to use for each rom? Example Frogger Atari2600

Excellent Video. Are there still restrictions on the size of the Box Art and Bezels .pngs?
When creating g a single file yes. I have not tested box art with the batch creator but I have used bezels bigger than what's allowed with the single file and it worked.

I understand you can't provide links to where to DL roms, but can anyone tell me; do files exist that bundle all of these files, the Box Art, Bezel Art, Emulator Core and Game Roms together in a single zipped file? I see that these sorts of thumbdrives are being sold on eBay and Etsy, so I assume they exist online as a torrent or .iso file or zip. Or does one need to create such a collection of matching PNGs and Roms by piecing them together file by file?
Thats my question also, was looking hard at buying this yesterday

Never mind. I figured out .so are the Linux cores and can be downloaded from the Libretro buildbot.
Super late comment but just a correction. You don't need to rerun addonx if you make any changes to anything in the cox folder including arts and playlists. You only need to rerun the addonx program if you make any changes to UCEs including where they are placed on your USB and renaming

@@johnnyescondido7430 all cox contents go in one cox folder. Multiple UCE folders is preferred for easy addonx access

Is that the stock marquee that is able to change the names of the game to the one your playing.?or do you have an aftermarket marquee like Pixelcade that is required for that feature..thx
It looks like they may be implementing a feature for a 3rd party marquee.

I don't have one. Mine is the marquee that comes with the cabinet.
I thought that the stock marquee was just a piece of plastic with a legend’s ultimate name on there and then there’s a light in the back that lights it up so I’m not understanding how the stock marquee can hook up to the coin ops and display the current game that I’m playing on the coinops usb stick.
@@yardman1977 I believe the marquee file changes the "marquee" on the image of the video game which is displayed as part of the menu. If you watch the CoinopsX portion at the end of this video, the arcade machine you see is just an animation . The video file controls what appears on the faux arcade screen and the marquee file controls what displays on the faux arcade marquee. The right-side of the menu contains the cover image and the name of the game, which you can dial scroll through. As you do, the arcade machine changes to reflect the video of the selected game and the marquee from it. Now, with that said, I assume the bitpixel marquees use the same file to display on the actual machine if you buy and install it.

Has anyone figured out how to access saved game data in an UCE? It's kind of a non-issue for arcade games, but it would be nice for GBA and SNES games. The save state function on the ALU works fine and saving properly in-game seems to work, but I don't know how to access the folder where the actual .sav files are kept. If I could get in there, I could import my saves dumped from a cartridge or export my saves made on the ALU to be used in another emulator.
You can unpack a UCE file with 7 zip to show the save folder

Bringing your attention for french people and whom it may concern if you have another regional preference than US in MS Office : before adding batch csv file in AddOn Tool, ensure that you open it with notepad or else and FIND AND REPLACE ; signs with comma. Or it simply doesn't work.
Note aux français avec clavier Azerty et options regionales FR si AddOn Tool ne fonctionne pas (0 fichier UCE créé) : il faut éditer le fichier csv avec blocnote ou autre pour y remplacer tous les point-virgules par des virgules... Et cela fonctionne.
