I love Scotland. I was there forty years ago and spent about three weeks in Edinburg and the Highlands. Would love to go back and see Aberdeen, Dundee, Perth and Inverness and Stirling. Go have proper tea. Thanks for posting. Austin is cool too! Mt. Bonell anyone? Day hi to Texas for me- I lived in Dallas for five and half years.
Aberdeen, Dundee, Perth and Inverness are all worth a look... I feel like they often get left behind on the typical tourist routes (Inverness not as much). I hope you get the chance to visit again. Thanks!
Amazing video, I live in Aberdeen, raised in the coast of the Shire and now work in Stonehaven, It's nice to see people appreciate this part of the world. Great video and beautiful footage mate, just bought my first drone and this is inspiring, keep ip the good work loon
I love my country very much and love Scotland , Aberdeen and some other places where l had been . People are very good , frendly and helpful.God bless this country and its people.Thank you for the video!
Beautiful. Thanks for sharing this great video. I'm moving to Aberdeen to study my master's. Really excited and hope to visit all these places when I'm there.
Many thanks Harlie, I have to admit, your videos are awesome with many beautiful shots and nice/concise commentary about every destination. I now miss Aberdeen even more because of your videos, lived there from 2016 to 2019. Good luck in your move/return to Texas.
Yes!!! For anyone who is wondering, Hogmanay is the Scots word for the last day of the old year and is synonymous with the celebration of the New Year.
Bro. I saw your first Aberdeen top 10 and loved the second just as much. I’m planning a trip to Scotland this September which will be my first outside of the US where I live. Your videos gave me all the reason I need to add Aberdeenshire to the itinerary!
Thanks! So glad to hear that you're planning to visit... I'm working on putting together a little video on the city of Aberdeen that may be helpful also. Enjoy your planning and trip!!!
@@andreak8202 It was amazing!! I made it to a couple of the places in these videos and it was so worth it. My Scotland experience was darn near life changing! I made it to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling, Aberdeen, Inverness, Loch Ness and passed through a few others. Such a beautiful country. What will you go to see?
@@HarlieRaethel My Scotland trip was a blast and I owe a lot to you for helping me plan it. I spent over 50 hours planning the trip because I was so excited and your videos were my #1 influences. You have a great voice for this, and such a humble appreciation for the country. Thanks for helping me plan such a great trip for my wife and I.

Thanks for your great videos. I live in Inverness, CA on Aberdeen Way and planning 3 weeks in Scotland researching for a YA novel that I am writing. So sorry to hear that you are moving to Texas after such a great EU adventure.
So glad you enjoyed it. We were in Kintore. It's an awesome town. I made a little video about Kintore specifically you can see here: ruclips.net/video/4W2zoXeAlC0/видео.html
Great footage and recommendations. I have my bucket list full thanks to your suggestions. Mind sharing details of the drone you used? At what price range can I find one and where should I look for one?
Thanks, so glad you enjoyed it. Check out the DJI mini. I have had both the first version and the second version. They now have a third version. I believe it is one of the best value for money drones that you can buy. Enjoy!
@@HarlieRaethel so kind of you to reply and share the details. I just checked out dji mini 3 on the web. Cool product indeed & budget friendly too. I'm new to Aberdeen and am not sure if there are any licenses required to operate drones around this area? Did you have one when you used yours here?
The rules for drone flying have changed in recent years. They also seem to vary quite a lot country to country. We moved from Scotland back to the USA in 2022 so I wouldn’t want to give you advice on current rules in the UK. However the rules are typically less for the DJI mini as it is so small. All the best.
You dont sound like you are american! You sound like an Australian or New Zealander! How did the lack or warmth and sun, particularly in the winter, make you feel, as you are from a warmer and sunnier part of the world?

Hi, great video :) What is the place @0:35 mark? The reddish estate with deer, you did not touch on it :)
Well spotted... That is Fasque Castle. You can see some more footage of that here: ruclips.net/video/wCF7F3F628M/видео.html
Kintore actually sits in an old Roman encampment. Especially the school area.
Yes. There is a very interesting 'Scotland From The Sky' episode about this...
Born in Aberdeenshire I go home every year to see family Sat on the Mither Tap many times I LOVE Bennachie
Amazing video that probably hides behind it many hours of hard work.

Nice droneage. Amazing what you can do with a sub-250 gram craft
Thanks! I absolutely agree.
Best fish and chips on the planet in Stonehaven.
Haste ye bac❤
Are you part American, part Australian?
Yes - dual citizen.
You dont sound like you are american! You sound like an Australian or New Zealander! How did the lack or warmth and sun, particularly in the winter, make you feel, as you are from a warmer and sunnier part of the world?
The darkness was probably the hardest part of the North East Scottish winter. I'm and Australian but I don't mind the cold....
Scotland seems a far better country nowadays to raise a family than the US.
It’s not all light and roses…
