St Ninian’s Isle on Shetland is a stunning natural sand tombolo with sea either side. It’s a truly picturesque spot on the map and a great choice if you’re looking for some place to go for a wander.
In East Lothian, not far from the Scottish capital, Seacliff beach sees walkers, families, and even horse riders everyday enjoy the incredible scenery and views out to the Bass Rock and across to Fife.
Tucked away in the North Highlands of Wester Ross, Achnahaird Beach is considered to be one of Scotland’s best beaches. Boasting white sandy shores, rock pools and panoramic jaw-dropping surroundings, it’s a must-visit!
Lunan Bay is a secluded spot on the Angus coastline and featuring the crumbling ruins of Red Castle perched above the shore. With sand dunes and low cliffs surrounding the beach, it’s a quaint little setting for an afternoon of exploring and walking.
A town that needs little introducing, St Andrews is home to West Sands Beach, a long stretch of sand shores back by sand dunes and plenty of golfing opportunities. Try out exhilarating watersports or enjoy the views on a Sunday stroll with the family.

These beaches are nice but not the most beautiful in Scotland … There are a lot of more impressive beaches …
