Haha wellll this one was a bit of a process. Usually I'm inspired by a photo I've seen or a particular housing item - Google and Pinterest most of the time. This time it was really inspired more by my friend who owns it and it went through MANY iterations over a long period of time before I settled on something I was happy with. So definitely wasnt an "aha!" moment for this one lol. Thanks for watching and good luck on your lala home! I havent ventured too far into small sized furniture yet. That might hurt my brain LOL
@@ellienet I can already tell you. I've raked my brain with how I want to do it. And it's been a challenge, I might have to swing by and see this place.. I'm thinking like a dragon cave idea for the basement but I would need to be doing the same tear down and reimagine.
How did we go from super dark, turn based combat RPG to hat wearing Otters in the Sims? When I played FF7 in '97 I didn't care where Cloud laid his head, aka Tifa's bar, until Shinra dropped a giant plate section of the upper city on it. That hit me in the feels... Still have Nibelheim though, until Shinra burned it down...but they did rebuild/repopulate it to cover up the massacre and their unethical experiments... So I take it Shinra isn't a thing in the new Final Fantasy? So that's why you can have nice things?
You could ask the same thing about how there's housing in the Lord of the Rings mmo. That has been a thing for two decades now I think? Housing is not to be counted alongside the story in FFXIV. When you're doing anything outside the main story, you are no longer the main protagonist. You are just another adventurer, and it is explained that the housing districts are for exactly those people. Just your every day Joe Schmo.
Oh an MMO? Now I see, my bad I thought it was like 7 or 10 or the other offline ones. The housing makes sense now. You know for that sweet sweet micro-transaction revenue.
Your sacrifices to let otters live freely and safely are greatly appreciated! Lol but ya as some of the other guys have mentioned, just a different world. The main story of XIV gets pretty dark at times and the most recent story for Endwalker had me on an emotional rollercoster! Housing is just side content and one of my fav parts of the game. A lot of us in the housing community play just for housing alone since it can be a pretty huge time and gil sink. You should definitely check it out if you're looking to get back into FF. I played most of the old FF single player games and this feels very different for me personally, but definitely a top tier game and all of the good stuff about the FF franchise is here too! Thanks for tuning in!
Pogger otter
Your hat isn't as cool as ours :)
Otterly perfect.
Haha Im digging the otter puns. Thank you Narlaw!
@@ellienet Nah, thank *you* for this video and the otters!
How do you even come up with these ideas! So freaking good. I've been trying to think of doing Lala sized home.

Different universes bro :o
This is an MMO. A lot of MMOs have player housing. The story of FFXIV absolutely gets dark, but housing is side content, NOT the main story.
