There’s a mod that has crash bandicoot in super smash bros ultimate but he’s over Mario so the spin attack that Mario has is modded to crash to look like his own and it is very fitting plus crash throws wampa fruit and final smash is indeed the wampa fruit (Mario’s fire power) look it up on here
Crash has been one of my most wanted characters for SSBU. I grew up playing Crash twinsanity on the PS2 when i was younger, than later on played the remake games & 4. The potential for his moveset would be a love letter to all Crash fans. I really hope he gets revealed at E3

For me personally, Crash would literally complete Ultimate for me. I wouldn't want any other characters after him. Terry alone was a dream pick for me, felt no one else wanted that but me.
I would've made Coco a alt costume like how most of the Fire Emblem characters have a male/female option. After all, she did become somewhat playable in the N. Sane Trilogy and fully playable in Crash 4: It's About Time.
Although quite similar to Crash in their own series, she isn't one to one like Byleth or Steve/Alex to be an alt. In some games she does kung-fu kicks rather than punches & has a different set of animations (e.g. she does a butt stomp rather than a body slam) & she's also shorter than Crash. I think she's more like Daisy or Chrom in that way. Maybe she can be an Echo Fighter? Idk. Either way, I wouldn't be surprised she joined her brother.

It should start with Sonic and Mario fighting on a jungle area and then Crash comes out of a bush, then we see gameplay, after that Crash does his final smash against Sonic and Mario, which sends them flying. He does the crash dance with Cloud, Snake and Joker posing alongside him (since they're all PS characters) His tagline should be: Crash Crashes the Party!

I actually imagine Crash’s Final Smash be a different cinematic, warping an opponent to on of Cortex’s Blimp. Crash grabs the opponent, spins wildly into laser beam open fire and throws the opponent at Cortex and blows up.
Crash just fits so well in Smash, just like Banjo, Mega Man, Sonic, etc. It’ll be such a missed opportunity if they choose JRPG character number 187 instead of him

@@mrshmuga9 Partially true. Although I’m sure naughty dog would never want to make a new game, I’m sure some other studio in PlayStation would pick up crash and make a new game. Unlike Jak and Daxter, who’s games went sort of under the radar, crash was a household name even when he wasn’t getting games.
Crash is easily one of the best candidates to be revealed for E3, having Mario, Sonic, and Crash in the same game would be amazing! But personally I feel Master Chief has the edge on him for getting revealed at E3 imo

I don’t understand why people think Chief has such high likelihood other than “Nintendo and Microsoft friends.” Like yeah they’re friends and yeah we got Banjo & Steve. But 1. Banjo & Steve have major Nintendo presence/history whereas Master Chief has zero, 2. Regardless of how nice their relationship is, I really doubt Nintendo are interested in promoting the mascot franchise of Xbox in their Nintendo game, 3. As others have pointed out Halo is likely completely unpopular in Japan and I don’t know what incentive Nintendo would see in adding a character that their main demographic knows nothing about
His Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time will be his look if he gets in Smash: 1. Probably his definitive look as Crash 4 was the best received mainline game since Warped. 2. Intended to appeal to worldwide audiences: has details like green pupils and fur (West) and is charming and goofy (Japan). 3. Things like the pupils and cartoony textures makes it look like a Nintendo's take on the character and would fit well in a Mario or Sonic game. 4. Crash 4 was revealed almost a year ago, meaning Sakurai would know about it already. 5. The next fighter has been in the works right after Pyra/Mythra's presentation which was on January. 6. His new design would help with the idea of not making the game feel dated: Crash is not seen as a retro character but as an gaming icon adapted for today like Mario or Sonic. 7. Sakurai wouldn't like to ignore his new design and game that defines how the next games of the series will look like. 8. There was rumours that Sakurai played Crash 4 and posted a picture referencing it two weeks after the game came out, he would use many things of this game in Smash if Crash was planned.

I really like the idea of the side special. A bit of Rng won't hurt and i just love the general idea behind putting different attributes behind the variety of boxes Crash can throw. Wonderful Idea!
This is the best potential moveset I’ve seen for Crash. I still think that Coco herself can be an alt of Crash, as besides for a couple animations, she isn’t that different from Crash that would exclude her as an alt. And while wishful thinking, I would prefer they somehow manage to add Cortex as Crash’s classic mode boss and as a new boss in general. I may have low hope at this point, but here’s hoping that Crash gets in Smash.

Good thing you listed his movesets from the later games like the Titans. I hate these people who focuses too much on nostalgia with relying on Crash spinning. If that happens, then we'll get another Sonic syndrome in the roster. As in Sonic having too much generic moves and rolls. So more variety and ideas from all games, the better. For the music, I would to add Out to Launch cause that music rocks out of the world. XD
@@Buglin_Burger7878 That's the problem with Sonic today and even in it's debut in Brawl. Yes, he was a last minute addition during development, but that's no excuse to keep him the same movesets in the next game and over. His downward Smash is the only move got changed since 4/3DS/Wii U. Why Project M and other similar mods existed? Not for competition, but rather to give the characters more polish and be more accurate of their source material of their respective games which Sakurai failed to listen to that but he's afraid that he doesn't want to upset fans who's gotten used to it, but he really needs to take that risk cause other characters got this problem like Ganondorf. Despite the Smash attacks being changed in Ultimate, still a Captain Falcon clone. In short. Once you debut a character that has too generic or identical clone moveset and return the next game with little or no change of the moveset over and over. It becomes stale and boring. Now imagine on Crash Bandicoot having a similar generic moveset like Sonic and him returning with little or no change. That's the problem. Nostalgia is the other problem.
I know speculating Smash characters rarely turns out how you expect, but I feel like Crash just has too much going for him at this point to *not* get in. As much as I would personally rather want Dante or Jack Frost or Monster Hunter, Crash is probably the only character that I believe would definitely get in, at least in some form.
The side B should be the polar bear 🐻❄️ dash. The forward smash should be the bazooka 💥 The up smash should be a Crystal 💎 obtained motion. The down smash should be breakdancing like Mario and Sonic

Another idea would be Banjo replacing Mega Man considering Mega Man isn't a "platformer" mascot in the same way all the other characters are. There's obviously platfoming in Mega Man games, but it's not as focused on it as games like Sonic, Crash, Mario, and Banjo.
Nice video! I've thought a bit about the potential spirits myself, and yours largely lined up with what I had in mind. The things I'd change, though, would have Nina being represented by the purple Inkling Girl alt (to match her school outfit), and having the N. Tropy spirit battle take place on Mario Maker, to reference the way his fight in Crash 3 flips between time periods.
I was thinking the Final Smash should be similar to King K. Rool's, with a giant laser. But the reference is to Crash 2's good ending, with Crash slamming on the button and N. Brio laughing maniacally next to him. And like K. Rool, it wouldn't hit the stage, but a specific location (in this case, The Cortex Vortex)
I’ve not heard a lot about a character I’ve been speculating… the Ringfit adventure protagonist with Ring-Con. His/her move set would be AWESOME, and allow so much diversity with the ring-con. Not to mention, a natural rival to the Wii Fit Trainer.
How a character with no games on Nintendo is likely to join Smash? For Western I see Doomslayer more likely than Halo But yeah, Crash and Spyro comes with him. Can we count Rayman as Western too?
Coco is only a recolour? With the way N.Sane Trilogy and Crash 4 made it so she could be played instead of Crash on most levels it would make sense for her to be a named costume in Smash like Alex, Alph and the Koopalings.
The only problem is that Coco would require a whole new skeleton rig, and would require more development time. If Sakurai wanted Coco in, he would more likely given Coco a separate slot. Only reason Coco was possible for Nsane and Crash 4 is the dev teams didn’t need to work on so many playable characters compare to Smash Ultimate. Personally Fake Crash would make a better fit as a character alt.
I feel like both of you are underestimating Smash’s ability to make a character model fit the same skeleton. There are costume slots with different heights and heads already and considering the way the Crash games have been making her playable with all the same moves as Crash it would make sense for Smash to copy that. Plus you have games like Fortnite that are able to make characters with very different body types fit the same skeleton just fine.
@@GaiashKetoji Coco actually does some original animations instead of copy what Crash does in the same moves because of their different personalities, again this is only possible for those games due to not needing to make so many playable characters, not to mention the Smash dev team had gotten smaller after Ultimate base game. As for certain Smash Characters with alts with a slight different body, it’s just enough to make the adjustments. However this way to make character alts. becomes most noticeable in a negative way with Bowser Jr. and the Koopalings as having the same skeleton rig, it’s most noticeable with the victory animation when Bowser Jr. put his hands on his hips while Iggy just stands weirdly because he’s skinnier. With the obvious different personality that requires new animation, and the obvious different body shapes, it just doesn’t make sense to put the extra effort just to make Coco an alt. That amount of effort would be even more than what an Echo Fighter allows, and I mean even Ken as one still has the same body type as Ryu.
@@GaiashKetoji Because fortnite costumes don't have any personality. Crash and Coco do. Crash is the crazy , dumb and comedic one while Coco is the brains of the two. The taunts and idle animations won't mesh together.
i imagine that Crash final smash will be him doing spin transporting those that hits. There he makes his opponents do the crash dance and then it ends with him having tons of crates fall on their and it ends with a TNT crate like when you miss bunch of crates in a level
I'm definitely curious what music we could get with Euden and/or Elisanne as a fighter...most of the music anyone knows from the game is licensed ( though it would be epic and funny hearing Bang in a Smash match ). Pretty sure the stage would be based off the Halidom though...
He needs to be the last... The last character added to smash should be crash. I've wanted crash in since melee, he deserves it. He's got no sticker, no trophy, no spirit.... The stars are aligned His b up should be just like diddys and he uses his jet pack And I think the masks should be incorporated somehow into his moveset seeing how they were used in 4
I think that Cortex would be a legendary spirit. Like Gruntilda is a legend for Banjo. Also, Cortex would replace the carbon alt like how one of Banjo’s alts is Grunty.

When you inevitably get around to discussing Spyro the Dragon, I would recommend mapping his flame breath to jab, f-tilt and nair, like Mega Man's lemon shooter. Flame breath is a reliable utility in his games and making it a quick and versatile attack would be a logical choice. Also, if his side special is Charge, we won't have to press the same button for Flame and Charge, which will feel very appropriate.
That last spirit Uka Uka should be "first strike invincibility" representing super villains typically striking first. As well as differentiating Him from the Aku Aku spirit
I really think they’d use his Crash 4 design, it’d solve the issue of which Crash design they’d use since his design in both the Japanese and Western versions is the same. Also I think it’s just better.
Three more Spirit ideas: Tiny Tiger: Giant Orange Incineroar on Coliseum, favouring aerials. N. Tropy (Tawnaverse): Blue Bayonetta on Umbra Clock Tower, favouring Down Special Nitros Oxide: Green Sonic on Big Blue, with the player starting with 50% damage to reference his head start in CTR

I reckon if he does get in, they're going to use his appearance from Crash 4, since his N.Sane Trilogy and PS1/2 artworks were changed for Japanese audiences because they thought it was too creepy. Granted, what they came up with wouldn't exactly help people sleep at night, but the point is Crash 4 was the first Crash game which didn't have his design completely changed for Japan. He might end up having five fingers instead of four when he gets into Smash, but it's not that big a deal.
You have the best move list but I would add a gimmick where you put on the Aku mask giving you complete super armor for smash attacks and turns your dash attack into a shoulder tackle (you take no damage if attacked) that you can use twice when you get over 100%. ;)
I know opinions vary betwen people, but I honestly feel that the proposed music selection is rather poor. Where's Snow Go? Where's Tiny Tiger's battle theme? And nothing from Crash Team Racing? Perhaps it was for the best that the last Smash character was Sora instead of Crash. If (and only if) Crash makes it into Smash 6, it better have a bigger selection of music
Has anyone thought about writing a letter to Sakurai maybe suggesting a Third Fighter Pass? I do think he deserves a huge rest but I do believe he'd be happy to continue working if asked by Nintendo. I dunno just something I think about here and there.

I am sorry if my comment sounds too harsh, but I feel really disappointed on your moveset choice, it is reaaaaally lacking. I think for one of the skins, Crash should have his iconic leather jacket and sun glasses from Crash Bandicoot 3 (it surprises me there was no mention of this). Also, have his motorcycle for one of his moves, like, having it being used to drive over fighters. The iconic polar bear should also be added to tackle opponents as in Crash Bash. Another thing that should be added is the jetpack or the helicopter thingy from N-Tranced (GBA), so that whenever Crash is sent flying off the stage, he could use the jetpack or the helicopter thing to gain some momentum (I don't think the spin attack would be useful for this). Also, remove the idea of throwing nitro crates, it is stupid as no character (not even Crash) can actually grab them. Maybe have them and the TNT crates as items or in Crash's Final Smash, like a rain of Nitro/TNT crates while Crash is being protected by his Aku Aku mask (I think I read this idea from somewhere else but I thought it was interesting). Also, for his shield, this should be green and have Aku Aku appear in front of it as in Crash of the Titans. I'm sure there's more that can be done, but can't recall at the moment.
Oh and for the stage, have Cortex's Zeppelin (not Cortex's Castle) from CB1. From Cortex's Zeppelin you can even see N.Sanity beach, which makes it more fitting, besides being an iconic scenery. Maybe have the zeppelin moving around too. As for the music, remove the Japanese one, and add Dingodile's boss battle theme from CB3, Tilt Panic, Crash Balls and Pogo Padlock from Crash Bash, Jetboard Jetty, Turtle Wood, Crash Dash and Snow Go from CB2, and N.Sanity Island from Crash Twinsanity.
The reveal trailer of crash should be remake of crash live action commercial in front of nintendo office. Then when he open the trunk, reveal the gameplay of crash on smash. The trailer then closed with mario come out and take out crash.

This is the best potential moveset I’ve seen for Crash. I still think that Coco herself can be an alt of Crash, as besides for a couple animations, she isn’t that different from Crash that would exclude her as an alt. And while wishful thinking, I would prefer they somehow manage to add Cortex as Crash’s classic mode boss and as a new boss in general.
I may have low hope at this point, but here’s hoping that Crash gets in Smash.
Although quite similar to Crash in their own series, she isn't one to one like Byleth or Steve/Alex to be an alt. In some games she does kung-fu kicks rather than punches & has a different set of animations (e.g. she does a butt stomp rather than a body slam) & she's also shorter than Crash. I think she's more like Daisy or Chrom in that way. Maybe she can be an Echo Fighter? Idk. Either way, I wouldn't be surprised she joined her brother.
Good thing you listed his movesets from the later games like the Titans. I hate these people who focuses too much on nostalgia with relying on Crash spinning. If that happens, then we'll get another Sonic syndrome in the roster. As in Sonic having too much generic moves and rolls. So more variety and ideas from all games, the better.
For the music, I would to add Out to Launch cause that music rocks out of the world. XD

@@Buglin_Burger7878 That's the problem with Sonic today and even in it's debut in Brawl. Yes, he was a last minute addition during development, but that's no excuse to keep him the same movesets in the next game and over. His downward Smash is the only move got changed since 4/3DS/Wii U. Why Project M and other similar mods existed? Not for competition, but rather to give the characters more polish and be more accurate of their source material of their respective games which Sakurai failed to listen to that but he's afraid that he doesn't want to upset fans who's gotten used to it, but he really needs to take that risk cause other characters got this problem like Ganondorf. Despite the Smash attacks being changed in Ultimate, still a Captain Falcon clone.
In short. Once you debut a character that has too generic or identical clone moveset and return the next game with little or no change of the moveset over and over. It becomes stale and boring.
Now imagine on Crash Bandicoot having a similar generic moveset like Sonic and him returning with little or no change. That's the problem. Nostalgia is the other problem.
I'd rather him have generic moves rather than moves from a game that sucks

I know speculating Smash characters rarely turns out how you expect, but I feel like Crash just has too much going for him at this point to *not* get in. As much as I would personally rather want Dante or Jack Frost or Monster Hunter, Crash is probably the only character that I believe would definitely get in, at least in some form.

Also +1 AI versus the player is already annoying due to their overlapping frame-perfect actions so making it a 3 on 1 with Wonder Wing thrown in the mix would be even more annoying.

Another idea would be Banjo replacing Mega Man considering Mega Man isn't a "platformer" mascot in the same way all the other characters are. There's obviously platfoming in Mega Man games, but it's not as focused on it as games like Sonic, Crash, Mario, and Banjo.

Nice video! I've thought a bit about the potential spirits myself, and yours largely lined up with what I had in mind. The things I'd change, though, would have Nina being represented by the purple Inkling Girl alt (to match her school outfit), and having the N. Tropy spirit battle take place on Mario Maker, to reference the way his fight in Crash 3 flips between time periods.
I was thinking the Final Smash should be similar to King K. Rool's, with a giant laser. But the reference is to Crash 2's good ending, with Crash slamming on the button and N. Brio laughing maniacally next to him. And like K. Rool, it wouldn't hit the stage, but a specific location (in this case, The Cortex Vortex)
I’ve not heard a lot about a character I’ve been speculating… the Ringfit adventure protagonist with Ring-Con.
His/her move set would be AWESOME, and allow so much diversity with the ring-con. Not to mention, a natural rival to the Wii Fit Trainer.
I think Crash and Master Chief are the most likely western characters, but only one or none can get in.
How a character with no games on Nintendo is likely to join Smash? For Western I see Doomslayer more likely than Halo

Coco is only a recolour? With the way N.Sane Trilogy and Crash 4 made it so she could be played instead of Crash on most levels it would make sense for her to be a named costume in Smash like Alex, Alph and the Koopalings.
The only problem is that Coco would require a whole new skeleton rig, and would require more development time. If Sakurai wanted Coco in, he would more likely given Coco a separate slot.
Only reason Coco was possible for Nsane and Crash 4 is the dev teams didn’t need to work on so many playable characters compare to Smash Ultimate.
Personally Fake Crash would make a better fit as a character alt.

I feel like both of you are underestimating Smash’s ability to make a character model fit the same skeleton. There are costume slots with different heights and heads already and considering the way the Crash games have been making her playable with all the same moves as Crash it would make sense for Smash to copy that.
Plus you have games like Fortnite that are able to make characters with very different body types fit the same skeleton just fine.
@@GaiashKetoji Coco actually does some original animations instead of copy what Crash does in the same moves because of their different personalities, again this is only possible for those games due to not needing to make so many playable characters, not to mention the Smash dev team had gotten smaller after Ultimate base game.
As for certain Smash Characters with alts with a slight different body, it’s just enough to make the adjustments. However this way to make character alts. becomes most noticeable in a negative way with Bowser Jr. and the Koopalings as having the same skeleton rig, it’s most noticeable with the victory animation when Bowser Jr. put his hands on his hips while Iggy just stands weirdly because he’s skinnier.
With the obvious different personality that requires new animation, and the obvious different body shapes, it just doesn’t make sense to put the extra effort just to make Coco an alt. That amount of effort would be even more than what an Echo Fighter allows, and I mean even Ken as one still has the same body type as Ryu.
@@GaiashKetoji Because fortnite costumes don't have any personality. Crash and Coco do. Crash is the crazy , dumb and comedic one while Coco is the brains of the two. The taunts and idle animations won't mesh together.

I think that Cortex would be a legendary spirit. Like Gruntilda is a legend for Banjo. Also, Cortex would replace the carbon alt like how one of Banjo’s alts is Grunty.
Missing a big opportunity by not adding Hog Wild to the music track list also I would’ve had his final smash be Golden Mask Aku Aku.
Ooh, another fan moveset with slide as the down tilt instead of a dash attack... (as well as belly flop as a grounded attack instead of the down air)
And down special for a side-affecting Fruit Bazooka move, with Final Smash not being the Golden Aku-Aku move...
I hope his shoes are tangible items that can fly back onto the stage to disrupt the opponents after he dies

When you inevitably get around to discussing Spyro the Dragon, I would recommend mapping his flame breath to jab, f-tilt and nair, like Mega Man's lemon shooter. Flame breath is a reliable utility in his games and making it a quick and versatile attack would be a logical choice. Also, if his side special is Charge, we won't have to press the same button for Flame and Charge, which will feel very appropriate.

I reckon if he does get in, they're going to use his appearance from Crash 4, since his N.Sane Trilogy and PS1/2 artworks were changed for Japanese audiences because they thought it was too creepy. Granted, what they came up with wouldn't exactly help people sleep at night, but the point is Crash 4 was the first Crash game which didn't have his design completely changed for Japan. He might end up having five fingers instead of four when he gets into Smash, but it's not that big a deal.

You have the best move list but I would add a gimmick where you put on the Aku mask giving you complete super armor for smash attacks and turns your dash attack into a shoulder tackle (you take no damage if attacked) that you can use twice when you get over 100%. ;)
I know opinions vary betwen people, but I honestly feel that the proposed music selection is rather poor. Where's Snow Go? Where's Tiny Tiger's battle theme? And nothing from Crash Team Racing?
Perhaps it was for the best that the last Smash character was Sora instead of Crash. If (and only if) Crash makes it into Smash 6, it better have a bigger selection of music

I am sorry if my comment sounds too harsh, but I feel really disappointed on your moveset choice, it is reaaaaally lacking. I think for one of the skins, Crash should have his iconic leather jacket and sun glasses from Crash Bandicoot 3 (it surprises me there was no mention of this). Also, have his motorcycle for one of his moves, like, having it being used to drive over fighters. The iconic polar bear should also be added to tackle opponents as in Crash Bash. Another thing that should be added is the jetpack or the helicopter thingy from N-Tranced (GBA), so that whenever Crash is sent flying off the stage, he could use the jetpack or the helicopter thing to gain some momentum (I don't think the spin attack would be useful for this). Also, remove the idea of throwing nitro crates, it is stupid as no character (not even Crash) can actually grab them. Maybe have them and the TNT crates as items or in Crash's Final Smash, like a rain of Nitro/TNT crates while Crash is being protected by his Aku Aku mask (I think I read this idea from somewhere else but I thought it was interesting). Also, for his shield, this should be green and have Aku Aku appear in front of it as in Crash of the Titans. I'm sure there's more that can be done, but can't recall at the moment.
Oh and for the stage, have Cortex's Zeppelin (not Cortex's Castle) from CB1. From Cortex's Zeppelin you can even see N.Sanity beach, which makes it more fitting, besides being an iconic scenery. Maybe have the zeppelin moving around too. As for the music, remove the Japanese one, and add Dingodile's boss battle theme from CB3, Tilt Panic, Crash Balls and Pogo Padlock from Crash Bash, Jetboard Jetty, Turtle Wood, Crash Dash and Snow Go from CB2, and N.Sanity Island from Crash Twinsanity.
Oh and another skin idea is giving Crash tattoos as those from Crash of the Titans BUT keeping Crash's classic appearance.
Correction, I meant you could see N.Sanity Island* from Cortex's Zeppelin, not N.Sanity Beach.
