I like the idea of changing his shirt for the last alt, though, and that could be used for the other ones too like with Ness and Lucas. I think a good stage would be the whole Underground. Acting as a moving stage, you would start in Snowdin and stay there for a bit, but then the River Person would appear and sail the fighters to Waterfall and later Hotland, each with different platform layouts and background cameos. Once the stay in Hotland is over the River Person will continue to sail to the right through a pitch-black area and somehow end up back in Snowdin. Also, I'm sure they'd give the Miis an Annoying Dog hat and/or a Temmie hat.
TBH if we're naming Frisk "The human" i think we should run with it for the alts as well, making it reflect all the other 7 fallen humans (Chara + the unamed souls)

Nah. Undertale has and will probably always have a much bigger legacy and impact than Deltarune. I also think Frisk's moveset is more interesting, since it could have a mercy/fight gimmick of sorts.
If Nintendo is choosing the DLC, they could have seen the reaction to the Sans Mii Costume and decided that they could get a LOT of publicity if they added a full character.
So I understand why a lot of people base the potential Frisk moveset on the other fallen kids, but I don't agree. I feel if they were to add Frisk, their various attacks would come in the form of the characters popping out to do the attacks. Some would be incidental in the same way Isabelle is designed, like Toriel popping out and a pie flies out of her hand accidentally, or Monster Kid trips and face plants and has a hit box as a dash attack. Others would be more deliberate like Undyne spears or Papyrus' blue attack. I think they would incorporate all of the friends into Frisk's move set and the character may just straight up be called Undertale, as it would use all the characters, just with Frisk being the "face" of the character

Curious. The previous episode was Touhou, then followed by UNDERTALE. Since UNDERTALE is heavily inspired by Touhou (and MOTHER), this can't be coincidence! My most requested characters are Lloyd Irving, Reimu Hakurei, Ryu Hayabusa, Crash Bandicoot and Nightmare. I got a All Content video on each one of them. Amazing. And I'm glad this is still going. I personally don't think that Frisk will be the final fighter, Toby probably only asked for Sans and nothing more. Nintendo doesn't necessarily prioritize indies cause if they did Shantae woulda been in as a fighter and not a mii costume along with Shovel Knight But the possibilities of indies in the next game are almost certain
Having a lot of fun imagining a completely unrealistic and obnoxious version of the Human that's more committed to recreating the particulars of the source material, most notable for their "Act" move being something contextually different for every character in the game. They'd also have two Final Smashes (not sure how the player would select one or the other, but you'd be locked in in some way), which are reskins of the same mechanic - "Spare" calls on the power of the Human's friends to eliminate a rival and all of their stocks, but the eliminated character looks uncharacteristically happy about it during the "Spare" animation and on the victory screen. "But Nobody Came" completely eradicates a rival and all of their stocks with a quick animation of the little red knife slash and a huge number; the stage's music cuts out and "But nobody came." periodically displays; the eliminated character does not appear on the victory screen.
If Frisk/The Human joins Smash Bros. someday, I would like them to have Deltarune inspired alts. Like a Dark World Kris alt, or even a Vessel/Goner alt, which would make Frisk 100% gray.

I think if you want a way to spare opponents in classic mode you could have a time limit and if the time reaches zero then the opponent is considered spared.

Frisk, Susie, Undyne, or Sans would all be great options to me. I used to be totally against the idea of Frisk as a Smash character but BrawlFan1 sold me on it. He had a similar idea about a morality meter but with it being effected by which moves you use, actually changing your moveset if it fills to either side, & being impossible to reverse if it goes completely violent. I like your ideas for alts. They all look really good. That Classic Mode idea is really cool too. It'd be the most unique Classic Mode so far. I wouldn't want a Photoshop Flowey model because it's a massive spoiler. I'd be ecstatic if an Undertale character got in but I don't expect it because it already makes no sense that we got so many generic noncharacters instead of someone like Shantae, Sans, or Hat Kid & Bow Kid.

Everyone always talks about how much inspiration Undertale took from Earthbound, but nobody ever seems to acknowledge the equal if not greater degree of inspiration it took from Touhou. Listening to the talking points made here in favor of Undertale's inclusion feels like I'm listening to a list of talking points for Touhou filtered through a funhouse mirror. I realize this is probably the last place anyone wants to hear this, but I feel like it would be downright criminal to give Undertale a fighter while snubbing the older indie that it owes so much to.
