Gun comes with 10 round and 13 round magazines. There are also 15 round and 17 round options available.
I also believe VP9 magazines are interchangeable with the P30

Just so everyone knows, the 10 rounders have now been changed to 12 rounders. that includes the flush fit and the ones with the pinky extension. The 13 rounders now are 15 round magazines. HK apparently found a way to fit two more rounds in them. I just purchased a P30SK LE package and that is what they are now coming with.

They have made springs that close into themselves more and the follower is shorter which results in greater capacity with the same magazine body. They had done this earlier with 9mm P30 and VP9 magazines. A standard factory 9mm for the size pistols is 17 rounds. They do sell $15 OEM conversion kits to refit all your 15s to 17s. Hopefully, they will do this for P30SK and VP9SK 10 round magazines soon.
Just purchased a HK P30 SK and can confirm there are stock numbers available with 2-12 round and 1-15 round magazines included. Most of the LGS have up to only 13 round magazines in stock and had to order the 15 round magazines straight from Heckler & Kock for $50.
@kayakdan48 There is still at least one online source for OEM 12 round HK P30SK/VP9SK magazines. They can be purchased with a finger extension or flat. The 13 round magazines have a spacer and do extend below that the frame. The 12 round versions have the same dimensions as the old 10 round magazines.
@@kayakdan48 Yes one of those pistol SKUs is 81000824, night sights, conventional DA/SA V3 trigger with decocker-only and no manual safety. Two 12 rd flush fit and one 15 rd extended.
Hk makes 12 round flush fit magazines for the sk now!

Great video. I love my VP9SK and got a 13rd mag a while back and just found out they made 15rd ones and the grip sleeve for the full size mags but couldn't find any video of someone comparing them all. I love how you showed all the different kinds and how they grip in your hand and show yourself gripping it. Thanks for the very informative video!

the 15 and 17 rd mags are the same magazine just with an updated spring / follower. all these mags should be able to hold an extra 2 rounds considering their relative size
I just bought one, and it came with a 10 round mag with pinky extension, and a 13 round magazine. So I don’t think it comes with the 10 round flush fit mag anymore.

You can also use P2000 (NOT the SK model, amazingly) in this gun as well. They are sometimes cheaper than P30 mags.

VP 9 regular and sk use same magazines as P30.

@@TheArkansasGunGuy maybe you should! I love both of mine. Your P30 seems identical to my vp9 sk except it is hammer fired to my striker fired. I know you are a hammer fire guy, and I used to be too, but I slowly became a fan of striker fired. Maybe you need to keep that comparison going. Plus you need to keep new gun “blood” coming so you can be a RUclips star!
I literally almost have the same configuration that you do. I have a P30SK (LEM) as my concealed carry running the 15 rounders. The difference between the 10 rounder with the pinky extension to the 15 rounder is barely noticeable, so why not the 15 rounder. Neat trick on the 17 rounder. I'm currently trying to figure out what spring is used in the 15 rounder. Is it a 15 rounder?
You are totally right - there is almost zero difference in the 10,13 and 15 rounders. For me, the 10 rounder just feels slightly more secure when firing. But always have the others with me as well. THANK YOU for watching!!
@@TheArkansasGunGuy I hear you on the 10 rounder and feeling a little better. Depending on how you conceal, the 10 rounder might be a better option. However, consider using the 15 or 17 rounders as your backup mags. Better to have them and not need the extra rounds, than to need them and not have them. I look at what is going on in this country and especially my state (Washington state) with the mag bans and know that our state government is only punishing legal and responsible gun owners and criminals don't care about the laws. Criminals try to attack me... I want the extra five rounds in each mag. Right now as of July 2022, we lost our over 10 round magazine capacity in this state, but we will be moving to Idaho as a result.
@@ervingritzeriii1360 oh absolutely carrying them as backup!! That sucks SO much that they limit your capacity like that (bet the bad guys won’t comply). I’m all for the higher capacities for sure !!! Just got an awesome 30 rounder for my Sig p320. I’m very lucky to live in a state that supports gun owners. Hey Arkansas! I visited my local gun shop yesterday and they put a HK P30sk v3 9mm and a VP9sk in my hands. My mission was to check out and probably buy the P30sk. After looking at the VP9sk it was really hard to walk out with just one gun, but I stuck to my guns, pun intended, and took the P30sk home with me. A fellow customer looking at a Stoeger got involved and took the VP9sk home with him. My P30SK came with nightsights and 2-12 &1-15 round mags. I guess H&k revamped their mags, because these are really compact, in my opinion. I was surprised with the DA trigger pull on the p30sk. It was really sweet compared to my HK45 and P30 V3 40s&w trigger, even after putting in lighter hammer springs. The striker fired trigger on the VP9sk just blew me away compared to my Glock 19 G5. Gotta make a second trip. lol
