@Thomas Henderson No, its called a "ground ruled double" and that does get called a lot HOWEVER, the problem and the funny thing that happened in that clip is that the ball was NOT stuck under the pad. it was just resting under the pad. There was clearance between the top of the ball and the bottom of the pad. He could have bent down and grabbed the ball easily and thats what he should have done. But if the ball was stuck or wedged between the ground and the pad, that would make it a little more difficult to get out and thats when the fielder should raise his hands and indicate such.
Hitting the ball into that tiny hole was really impressive! They should have that in a regular season game and that should be worth a home run plus a run or two. lol

Crybaby? From voicing his opinion? It’s not like he’s refusing to play he’s just saying players get burnt out and a shorter season would cut down on injuries
What a random comment. Do you just find any video that has Rizzo in it and hate on him? Maybe when you are on a caliber where you not only helped your team win a championship for the first time in over a hundred years, or even have the passion for something to dedicate and work your entire life to compete with people who are world class athletes you can have an opinion on what the work load is like. I’m not even a cubs fan but what he is saying is a valid opinion, less games would increase viewership and cut down on injuries, and would make the game more exciting for a lot of people. I personally disagree with him but I love baseball for the stats. I also think you are a big fucking crybaby for whining anonymously on the internet about someone’s opinion on their own fucking job that you have absolutely zero scope on what it’s like to compete at that level.
