The thing I loved about this game is that there was no “ball physics”. If you hit a ball within a 20 foot vicinity of the line, it actually has a chance at being fair, unlike the newer games.

The reason the visuals and animations looked better than you remember is because this is before they put all of their effort into online and Diamond Dynasty. They actually cared about the game quality instead of pushing out content
I downloaded it again this time to my recently purchased PS3. I played exhibition game on Beginner and all pitches were fastballs in the zone. MLB 13 doesn't do that. MLB 13 throws more than fastballs and not always in the zone, therefore, more difficult on Beginner. I could up the level on 16, but at 81 years old (82 in august), not doing that.
Played MLB 19 yesterday and thought it looked way better than MLB 21-23 as well. I was expecting a slight drop off but it really looked better for some reason IMO.
I would appreciate your advice... I'm I mediocre player on HOF, I'm 500 against humans. Given these low statistics, do you believe I have the talent to complete the extreme program or should I focus on other programs nms? P.S. Pat Stay all day

This game has no-doubt animation when you hit a HR playing 1vs1 locally, I miss that
