TF2 Update: - Valve announced that TF2 will get a "community" "update-size update". A lot of people are hyped, but I'm not too keen. The bots have not been mentioned... TF2 UPDATE 2: - Text has now been changed to a "community holiday-sized update". Told you I wasn't keen. It's something but yeah, way to grab a L - Siege is killing their esports scene with a lack of communication, and my beloved BeNeLux esports scene I played in is getting radio silenced by their superiors and is set to close - Nintendo killed my dog. @@donDanDeNiro Exactly as @Acertive Pillow, stated, if you don't want to continue updating an old game, hire someone who will, I assure you there are people out there willing to work for free/little pay to consistently update games like tf2.
I don't think ive ever seen this much care put into a documentary by a one person team. And yes, your content and editing style looks like its been made by a team. Keep up the fantastic work!
This indeed is a good video. But as for documentary, Ahoy does better. Btw, Arch video style reminds much of Ahoy's videos. Maybe Arch is inspired of Ahoys videos?
I mean. We saw LEMMiNO. But still, keeping this consistency yourself is really fucking hard, and i would give up before uploading the first video if it means i have to stick to this style. Massive props for this guy.
Valve: you guys still havin' fun? Keep giving us cash Ubisoft: What do you mean you guys don't like our vision? Nintendo: YOU DARE TOUCH OUR OLD STUFF AND REFUSE TO LET GO OUR OLD GAMES?!
I really love how similar your videos resemble Ahoy's, simple thumbnails with similar art stlye that don't give away much information, high-effort and heavily-edited informative videos about games and both focusing on the main topic without any promotions, shoutouts or pauses, great job overall
This made me realize that out of the three companies, that the one trying to help but failing is getting severely punished, and the one that isn’t doing anything is fine
No response to a problem is an infinitely better response to a half assed response that does nothing but make the people who made the response feel like they're doing something. Or, worse, just exacerbate the problem. Tf2 players know where we stand with Valve. We don't mean shit to them. That's ok. We still have the game, even if its a bit scuffed right now. It's still the same game we've been enjoying for ages and isn't getting fucked by the developers. Meanwhile, Ubisoft is actively fucking up their game at every turn because they're a bunch of incompetents. Just because you tried doesn't mean you should get rewarded. If your efforts are making things worse, you should have just stayed home.
@@TheGreatDanish This. Valve near-effectively already shipped a finished game since years ago. Of course, being a multiplayer game means maintenance and control is never done, but generally the gameplay loop and mechanics are already as perfect as it can be. It fulfilled the developers's vision years ago, and they moved on from it. As long as they maintain the servers, and control over security and fair play, and maybe occassional updates, TF2 is already as good as it can be. If the one last developer starts messing with the game too much, it'll only ruin the game.
I used to be staff in a fairly big discord server (~100k members) and we had a separate discord server for staff discussion (~30 members). That server had a mario icon, and one day we got an email from Nintendo telling us to change that icon. Absolutely insane
Now that I think about it, I believe Riot Games does almost the exact opposite of Nintendo. Riot actually encourages its fans and players (with rules) to use & share corporate content (IP), that way the game gets exposure everywhere at absolutely no cost. Win-win situation for the company and its playerbase. In my opinion, that is a successful marketing & business model and that's what every gaming company should strive to achieve. No wonder they still have the biggest PC game for 8+ years straight.
these pepole are from a whole different culture. On The west money is your power, there you need a legitimacy of said power and you can do anything (that's why Nintendo employs a damn Legion of Lawyers) and because they have money, they can do whatever they want on west
What I've noted: Never leave the community radio silent. If you're going to abandon the game for a bit or forever, let them know. Hell, let the community take a bit of control from there on perhaps. If you're making your game less fun because it's less effort, you're not exactly doing it right... Who knew that putting passion into games and putting the experience and fun above money and all else was a successful way to make games? please add more notes in replies if you wish I like to learn about these things Great Video, by the way! Very well edited!
There needs to come a time where a game that will no longer be supported is turned over to it's community. If it's developer (or the IP's owner) wants to revisit that game later, then they can talk to the community about it, but in the face of an empty future, let the community have it.
TF2 is old though, why would you want the software engineers to continuously work on the same game for so long lol. Games shouldn't last for so long, the best ones have an ending.
There are many things I dislike about the way Siege has been steered, but making it slower and tactical isn't one of them. It was definitely the game's vision as intended and unfortunately the players do what they do and optimize things and engineer the fun out of it. I don't agree with how they nerfed their way to this point, but I play siege not for a twitch action shooter, but for the dynamic of site set ups, gadgets, and creative play. I'm glad to see lean spamming instant ADS Ash type stuff die.
Yeah same, I didn't like how the video painted it as a bad thing and a worse direction. It's just different and not necessarily worse. Also, I feel like people often say that they want game designers to have and stick to a vision and not just go with what's popular, but in this case, we are saying that it's bad that they did exactly that.
I myself like tactical games and fast paced fps but siege is still not very tactical compared to others which makes it play at badly as it is slow and tactical but still arcade like which makes it just not enjoyable, you die quickly but it's people still move reasonably quickly compared to other games making it so someone can just pop out and kill you before you can react
100% agreed - Siege is supposed to be a tactical shooter. If someone wants to run around and headshot people, I don't see why they can't just play Call of Duty.
@@lotus5067 Because that's how the game was for 4 years, not to mention the fact that there is 1 shot headshot for all guns. This mechanic inherently rewards players who are skilled at moving fast and aiming well. Ubisoft absolutely cannot change this, so instead of making the game fun they made the game frustrating and boring. And this isn't a tactical problem. Csgo is one of the most strategic games in esports while also being exciting and rewarding players with good aim and movement.
@@lunchtreyy Just because a game was a certain way doesn't mean it's healthy for the game. I understand it rewards players with mechanical aim skill, but again - that playstyle effectively invalidates half the characters in the game. Why would you even bother with hard breach when you can just run around with Ash's R4C and an ACOG? Why play Smoke the way he's intended when you can spawnpeek with the SMG11 ACOG? In general, why even bother with destructibility and playing tactically when you can just run around and play Call of Duty in a building? People may have enjoyed that version of Siege, but it's not what the game is supposed to be. I'm not saying Siege should be Ready or Not, but it's certainly not supposed to be COD. It ignores the hard work of so many developers who made a revolutionary game in Siege's destructibility. If people just want to shoot things, they should play COD, not R6.
It's just crazy to me how much Nintendo hates the people that give them money. I wish Nintendo had a philosophy like that of, ironically, SEGA who absolutly adore their fans and encourage fan creation.
I have a weird feeling that nintendo is gonna get their ass handed to them in court one day. I feel like if Sega hadn't been replaced with Xbox, they'd be pretty similar. With all the people clamoring for game preservation around the world, I feel like some government is gonna side with us, making DS/Wii games readily playable online. Like, we all know Nintendo isn't re selling these games, look at how long it took them to finally release OG fire emblem in the west. I just have a good feeling that in the following years they're gonna get their asses served and they'll take it down a notch
Having sunk 2000 hours into siege(since 2015) and 1200 hours into tf2 (Since 2014) i can say your analysis of both games is very accurate, thank you for putting my thoughts into words, making an amazing concise video which really adresses all my grievances with ubisoft and valve, some of your sentences literally felt like they were plucked from my brain and put into the video, i truly hope this video goes viral and you get the recognition you deserve.
@@OfficialArch trust me even the some of the most diehard valve fans and Nintendo fans (I genuinely doubt there are ubisoft fans left at this point) can notice the cracks beginning to show in their franchises especially if you ask tf2/csgo fans or smash and pokemon fans
@@antusFireNova i wouldnt be as critical as i am of tf2 and siege if i hadnt spent the better part of a decade playing both and sinking thousands of hours into them
Siege after year 3 really went downhill. The catering to Esports completely ruined the game for the 99%. Removing penalties and marking for defenders going outside the zone, catering to quick-twitch 3speed attackers/defenders, shortening round lengths, so much ruined Siege.
I think I remember one of the core issues Valve had with trying to fix the bot problem is most fixes they thought of were either more detrimental to players, or could easily be bypassed with an add-on or website
I played Seige for a little bit and I remember there was at least a few times where I asked my friend "why is this the way it is?" And I kept getting "It used to be better but they changed it" also the worst thing they did from my perspective is remove maps completely from the game, I don't see why any company would do something like that ever
Because the maps in question were not balanced for ranked play. Occasional game of plane in casual is fine, but I would hate to ever get it in ranked. The only map to get completely removed even from quick play was Bartlet U which could have been reworked from scratch if they really wanted to. But it was infairness considered the worst map in the game.
@@evangelosvasiliades1204he was saying mostly Reworks,House & Skyscraper were so Good and they ruined it for nothing, specially house since was said that it was a "Casual Rework"...that nobody ever asked for
@@Guni. Reworks generally happen for a reason. And indeed most have been quite good, including skyscraper which I consider one of my favourite maps, although most consider it meh as they did before. Some like Favella and Hereford were much better but still not great maps to play. There is nothing odd about trying to improve maps instead of making new ones from scratch and I don't really see that as 'deleting a map from the game', that said, House as a casual map was something casual players seemed to like and I don't know why they changed it if it wasn't going to wind up in the ranked pool for everyone to enjoy. Very odd.
Basically, what I got out of this amazing video: Valve: Makes great games but doesnt mantain them and just profits off of their success Ubisoft: Forces their own ideas onto games that were already good/going in a good direction, mostly for the worse Nintendo: Makes amazing, memorable games but only wants people to enjoy them their way, and their way ONLY.
Only 11.1k subscribers and 2 videos? I'll see your channel grow from here, because the presentation and research put into these videos are phenomenal. The animation, narration, script, research, topic, music and sounds are all gloriously composed into a single video. As a game designer, I find these videos greatly helpful and informative! I subscribed and will stay tuned for the next video.
As an avid melee player, I laughed out loud when you showed some footage of brawl being played when you said "this is melee!" It's going to make so many people mad, but it would also go over so many people's heads 😂
I feel it's worth mentioning with valve their unique management, there's no "managers" and people choose what projects they work on. They get ranked and if an employee feels like a game won't increase or help their ranking, they wont take the risk
That's only a thing for certain developers. Taking care of the infrastructure, customer support, or accounting are not "choose your own adventure" departments at Valve 🌈
I am calling it, this channel will amass large number of supports in the near future. The amount of effort and details that are put into this video is impressive. I never got bored watching two of your videos, they're really engaging. I will look forward to the future of this channel.
I believe you picked the perfect order to put those companies in on the Hanlon's Razor scale of incompetence/stupidity to evil/malice. As much as I'm upset about the current fate of TF2, I can't be mad at Valve about it. There have been many times in my life, and I'm willing to bet in yours as well, when I knew beyond the shadow of a doubt I should do something and still I didn't do it. The state of TF2 feels like the state of a regular game night with friends that stopped being regular despite everyone's best wishes and constant reminders to get the next one going. Valve are still doing many good things and I'd rather appreciate those than hold a grudge over their mistakes, as saddening as they may be. We are only human after all and so are they. Ubisoft is a company I strongly dislike for what they did to many titles I hold, or at least held dear to my heart. Their half-assing and lack of care feels as foolish as it feels greedy; with every very clearly bad decision or change they implement into their games I just kinda accepted it more and more that they can't be trusted, but can still provide fun experiences despite that. I will never buy another game from them again, because I wish for someone else to take their spot, but that won't stop me from playing and enjoying the ones they haven't ruined. Nintendo is straight up evil. Playing their games is like signing a deal with the devil. You will certainly have fun, likely life-long treasured memories, possibly discover a passion, aaaaand... you will feel bad about it all, knowing that not only you've paid, but become a fan of people who would kill your dog for a coin. You have now directly contributed to a legal machine of strongarm exploitation, tirelessly working to ruin every and anyone they can that might cost them even a penny. There is no morality here, no reasoning with them, any understanding you might come to with Nintendo they can and will discard without missing a step if it means they can let their legal team rip. I do not have words in this language (I do in polish tho) for how much I despise Nintendo's method of action, and I can't help but feel as if every single customer who knows even a smidge of what they've done is an accomplice, most of them unwilling, like addicts coming back for more drugs to the CIA- excuse me, I meant the mafia. And like addicts they know what they're doing is helping evil continue, but... it feels so good. I wish Nintendo wasn't selling cocaine.
Very well said. Nintendo is full of boomers from the old age. And they are WAY out of touch with reality! (Not all Nintendo people and creators. Just the higher ups that have no compassion for their fans and consumers.) They just don't give a @#$* about you or anyone... I hate it! it's one reason why I rarely buy Nintendo games anymore. Only Pokémon, But that's it! Maybe someday the out of touch people perish away and the new blood will show way better compassion. STILL protect their IP. But with a lot tamer style. Maybe follow steps similar to Sega? (not a fully copy. But you know.)
I rarely ever comment on videos but I just want to say your editing style and understanding of game mechanics make for a very entertaining video. Hope you get the attention you deserve soon! Edit: I feel that “I had to install siege and I’ll never do it again”.
@@OfficialArch worst they could do is ghost is like the heavy update, or quietly cancel it like every data mined project they've known to started (both virtually the same but one rarer than the other)
I'm honestly kinda surprised respawn (basically an EA hand puppet now) wasn't on this list. When Titanfall servers got ddossed they shut down the servers for the first game and took like 6 months to fix the servers for titanfall 2 But when apex got ddossed it was fixed in about a week just because it makes them more money

As a gmd player, I LOVE documentories and gmd content creators make a lot. @@OfficialArch (sorry for bad english not) I`m blown away that this is only your 2nd video but the quality and care put into it is amazing. i didnt realize that this was your 2nd video untill you mentioned it at the end. respect and keep on going.
Just discovered you a few days ago and I'm loving the videos you put out! As someone who played Rainbow Six Siege for the first couple of seasons I can relate to the horror of Ubisoft's antics. What prompted me to write this comment was your description of the "vision" for the game, which was admittedly quite opposite to what I felt my relationship with the game was. When I first saw the E3 trailer, the tense, grounded, and tactical shooter instantly reminded me of an old favourite of mine, SWAT 4. Seeing the players work closely to clear the map and secure the hostage made me really excited to see a next-gen successor to the cult classic. Cut to launch day though, and I was taken aback by the totally different product that was released, which to me felt less like the shooter-chess game that SWAT 4 was and more of a "slower CSGO with more mechanics and tactics". This uncanny feeling was exarcebated by the change in the meta towards the fast-paced versions of the middle season operations. While the direction they took in the middle seasons was definitely a good one considering the response from the prayer base, I feel that had they properly implemented the same vibe that they had in the E3 trailer, and more importantly have a more SWAT 4-esque fleshed out single player instead of those god-awful "situations" or "terrorist hunts", they would've just as easily suceeded in making a groundbreaking SWAT-ey game with having a good springboard to base another fast-paced shooter on. Coincidentally, this was also around the time where Ready Or Not and other realistic-sim games were announced/teased, which brought my hopes back up for the SWAT genre. I just feel that had Siege marketed itself as a fast-paced shooter from the get go, then even with their esports-focussed vision they could've made a pretty solid game nonetheless.
It seems like they should have split the game into two. One focused on the fast paced style, and one for that slower tactical style. Both have fans, both can be done well, they don't truly compete with each other. It'd be like branching off into a whole second market for your product, not competing against yourself for a limited audience.
@@georgeheld1901 I actually found out about SWAT 4 while scrolling through an article about abandonware games. I'd played a fair share of Delta Force and the old Rainbows, but this really opened my eyes to a whole new style of gameplay. I'd been craving that sorta thing ever since
You have summed up exactly how I feel, especialy about discovering new tactical games that are remerging into the market like Ready or Not or Ground Branch. It feels like we are finally getting the games that I dreamt of as a kid, back when I used you play Rainbox Six games on my PS2! Call of Duty clones and the battle royal genre have dominated the FPS market for a long time, hopefully immersive / tactical FPS fames will make a comeback.
Im glad I watched to the end to hear you say Nintendo executives will burn in Hell, the drastic changed in tone was really funny keep aup the good work! :)
Though this video and its intentions seem all over the place I still think the overall experience was great. The editing is simplistic and stylish, the narration clean and captivating, and (despite this video feeling a bit scattered) the general premise/information told is intriguing. A "documentary" that may not have had a clear purpose or takeaway but one that still compiled some interesting information and presented it to others who may have otherwise never been aware of. With only two videos so far I think that this is insanely well done and am excited to see more content and how far this channel goes.
This channel's gonna blast out in popularity soon enough, I watched this guy from the start of his archmeton channel watched all his videos with theories and I know he'll grow .....Best content so far (for accuracy and theoretical backing).
Love your editing and story telling, keep it up, you have one of the best content creating that is genuinely interesting to both gamers and non-gamers!!
to be honest there is nothing wrong with siege being a slow and tactical game . The issue is that they had a player base who was accustomed to a faster pased experience.
This was honestly such an incredible documentary and covered basically all of the important bases I was hoping from a video like this, keep up the great work, cant wait to see more of this!

This video was extremely well made and an enjoyable watch. Your perspective on Siege as a game was much different than my own and I'm glad to see new ideas and preferences for the game. I hope to see more of you work in the future. Personally, I enjoy some of Siege's changes. I got into R6 Year 1 for the promise of tactics, however it wasn't your bread-and-butter type of tactics. "Destruction" was the name of the game to me, my favorite moments and plays during my time in siege are when I am able to warp my surroundings to out play the enemies. In fact, I dreaded the phase of siege where it was seen more like COD with everyone rushing in with a 3 speed. The problem is I don't think their speed was an issue, just a mindset of the player base. What siege fails to do these days is equally reward a tactical playstyle opposed to the fragging style of play. I do feel I enjoy parts of siege more now, as I always liked being able to deduce the best method to disassemble an opponent's plan of attack. The thing is that even though I enjoy some aspects of current day siege, I long for year 1 siege. Some tactics and strats are now impossible and everything oozes ESPORTS ESPORTS ESPORTS. There was a very small, sweet spot, where I felt everyone was happy. I, and others like me, got to methodically plan the different outcomes of situations all while in the middle of a gunfight. And those who preferred to rely on their mechanical skill and fragging potential were able to do amazing! There was this perfect Yin and Yang between "supports/intel" operators and those who knew how to kill quickly and efficiently. I felt that even with my passive playstyle I was a contributing part of my stack, and today I feel as if there is a stark lack of comradery that used to be present. Siege forces players to be tactical now, but at its peak, everyone could play how they wanted while benefiting those around them. Which in a sense made this perfect gaming ecosystem that I yearn for are turn to.
Ironically, the current Siege is very frag-heavy compared to a couple patches ago. We've returned to the frag meta (though it's still much better than much less fun metas such as the utility burn goyo/castle meta or the LMG meta)
I just watched your video about the SNiper Rifle, and it was fantastic. I came looking for more gold, but I found diamond. Thank you for making such good videos, you deserve alot more attention!

For the ubisoft balancing strat, it goes waaaay deeper than that. Essentially, they release a character every season and makes them significantly more powerful and fun to play intentionally. It creates a dynamic of if you dont own the character, you're missing out on the fun / you're going to lose the match. This balancing issue is an intentional marketing strategy to push players into buying them. After some time, they'll patch their weapons / skill to make them less good and enjoyable, and release a new character with the same balancing issues as the previous character, repeating the marketing strategy
Valve's project assignment is interesting, but there's two important points to raise. 1) Valve's issues with toxic workplace environments and the failed implementation of the "no bosses" strategy is well-documented 2) Nothing gets done As for the point onSiege's balance, I absolutely understand the gripe that Ubisoft decides to nerf operators to the lowest common denominator rather than attempt to fix fundamental issues with bad operators, but in a game like Siege where a TTK of 200 milliseconds is considered piss poor there is absolutely a concern of power creep. This concern doesn't outweigh the opposing concerns though, as it really does feel like Siege is becoming more rock-paper-scissors than finding something that works against what the enemy has using what you have. And yes, it is incredibly myopic of the Siege team's leadership to think that nerfing one operator won't have any discernible ripple effects on others. If you read the historical releases of operator pick/win matrices, you'll see that a pattern emerges where a fast and fun operator is too powerful, gets nerfed, and the community moves on to a slightly less fun and slightly less powerful fast and fun operator, who then gets nerfed. Considering the impossible number of ripple effects to keep track of given the number of operators in the game, this has been death spiraling into a "nerf everything until indistinguishable" mindset that really is poisoning the game.
The problem, once again and probably forever, it's greed and money. What a world to live in. Thanks for making such an AMAZING documentary, I really enjoyed it!
Ever since the new RUclips CEO is thinking about ideas that might ruin in the near future, content creators won’t give up so easily. *Keep doing what you do best*
This has been one huge ride to watch! It sucks to hear that Siege was really kicked down that much by Ubisoft's balancing approach, and I've been wanting more and more to check out TF2 again since I tried TF2 Classic, so that should be fun to do whenever I do :) Also the comment is edited because I was going to ask about the "Melee" nametag being a joke or not (I had the feeling as I noticed the one video you used for it) until you named it again lol
Such a well structured video! Hope you'll get more subs, you definitely deserve it :) I have about 11 years of experience playing TF2 (more than 5,5k hrs in total). It's really sad how the game can't solve these dumb problems caused by the absence of attention by its own developers. It's still fun to play if I am being honest, but what bothers me the most is how difficult it must be for new players to start playing TF2 today. Imagine you boot your first match and you run into something random and unfair (like a bot, for example or a very unbalanced match). I only play certain maps with one certain gamemode, but I run into bots very rarely. Cheaters can be a problem though due to how easy it is for them to fool the VAC system even for a while. Oh, and sometimes it can be tough to prove that a player is actually cheating, because their teammates don't believe you or they are not experienced enough to understand it (sadly it is the case sometimes). The devs did s o m e t h i n g to the game, now it's easier to deal with bots and also some really nice fixes were made (like fixing projectiles' hitox for a 8 year old weapon lol) But it's just not enough D: At this point I just hope for a semi-automatic system for making the game's updates in the future - using Steam Workshop, vote polls or something that the actual community can participate in. I still dream about the day when TF2 comic #7 will come out...
Algorhythm really pushed your sniper video, I saw it like 6 times before finally watching it, but I'm so glad I did. Very nice to find a new high quality channel with interesting topics and the opportunity to learn something. Congrats it worked out for you & keep it going :)
Its truly sad that this video even has to be made, but it has to, we need to call out the downfall of the things we once loved and enjoyed, back when they were solely there to bring us happiness
I can't believe you've perfectly encapsulated how I felt about Siege ever since I quit circa 2018-2019 after loving the game for 3 years. It was the game I invested the most time in ever.
Hoooooowwwww was Blizzard not mentioned as one of the biggest perpetuators of this theme? They've managed to devalue their own properties to the point that no one cares about new character announcements for Overwatch 2 and the best thing people have to say about the newest WoW expansion is "It wasn't as shit as the last one."
This video is awesome. I was playing assassins creed 4 the other day for the Nostalgia, and I'm happy to say the game is as good as I remember it to be. What stands out the most is how you can tell care and attention was put into every facet of the game, from the ship combat to the movement to even the map design and lore. It just reminds me of a bygone day where even companies like ubisoft put care into their games instead of releasing buggy broken messes in early access. Valve pls fix
being a gamer for far too long this video perfectly explains how modern games have fallen from grace and opens my eyes to why i and many others don't enjoy gaming as much as i used to while being paired with immaculate editing you fully earned my subscription 2x over well done
"But hey, mtx at least are "freedom", not like those hallway filled games that take away that "freedom", who would play a game that is well made over shovelware with a dbz skin anyway". Sigh, I really, _really_ don't want to hate gamers, but some of them truly hate gaming.
That Nintendo story about suing the guy for selling his N64 is a fake. The website that published it Hard-Drive is a satirical news site, like The Onion, but for tech and games.
I've only started playing R6 actively during Y7S1 Demon Veil, so I'm just learning about how the game has been in it's earlier days. I gotta say that, against what all other people would say, I wouldn't enjoy playing old Siege. I very much like the tactical and teambased approach and slow pace and I think it's actually sort of cool that Ubisoft was trying to stand their ground by changing the game to what they had envisioned from the start. Nevertheless they probably shouldn't have taken that approach and instead should have went with the flow to be on the side of those players who made the game so popular. There's still a lot that is going wrong with R6 at the moment that needs change, but all in all R6 didn't turn into a bad game. It just changed its Sub-Genre to a more niche type, which lost it its more casual and fast paced playerbase. Also I really don't like the "cheaters argument" in why a game has turned bad, because every major multiplayer title suffers from people who will exploit it. It is a given with the sheer mass of players that will play that one game that someone will cheat. Cheaters are annoying. I understand that. But no matter how good the anti-cheat software is someone will find a way around it and ruin peoples day. And in my case talking I almost never encounter someone who is actually blatantly cheating across a multitude of multiplayer titles. It really is a rarity that happens like 4-5 times a year, if even.
Bro that Nintendo one hurts as someone who used to be a massive fan of the company, just seeing what they are doing even beyond what the video covers baffles my mind Great video my guy
You didn't know that? My problem is, why is the conole on their way to be the best Nintendo console. Cancel this sh*t they don't even make good games for it. I hope every switch honor find peace anyhow.
The "skins making you harder to see" thing is a problem a number of games have gone through. CS:GO got in some hot water when they first introduced alternate skins for this reason, although they did respond fairly quickly... by editing the maps so that the new skins stand out more. I also remember a Jimquisition episode (or maybe it was just a news video, back when they were regularly doing those) about PUBG monetizing their cosmetics despite some of them making you objectively harder to see, and that was way back in 2017 when it was still in early access. It's almost as if taking the focus off actually making a fun game and shifting into selling in-game items for money is fundamentally a bad idea!
TF2 Update:
- Valve announced that TF2 will get a "community" "update-size update". A lot of people are hyped, but I'm not too keen. The bots have not been mentioned...
TF2 UPDATE 2:
- Text has now been changed to a "community holiday-sized update". Told you I wasn't keen. It's something but yeah, way to grab a L
- Siege is killing their esports scene with a lack of communication, and my beloved BeNeLux esports scene I played in is getting radio silenced by their superiors and is set to close
- Nintendo killed my dog. Also the N64 lawsuit is fake news apparently. Apologies!

Tf2 players know where we stand with Valve. We don't mean shit to them. That's ok. We still have the game, even if its a bit scuffed right now. It's still the same game we've been enjoying for ages and isn't getting fucked by the developers.

Nintendo's problem is also the problem with copyright laws in terms of length. 100 years of copyright is just too long.

I love this, it's not often you see someone with so much passion and talent, who also shares so much knowledge at once.
Very odd.

Dude I love Swat 4, but I found it about a year after I quit Siege for good
It seems like they should have split the game into two. One focused on the fast paced style, and one for that slower tactical style. Both have fans, both can be done well, they don't truly compete with each other. It'd be like branching off into a whole second market for your product, not competing against yourself for a limited audience.
@@Sorain1 Yeah that sounds like a good idea! It'll be a good way for Ubi to return to their old-school Rainbow Six roots as well.

Though this video and its intentions seem all over the place I still think the overall experience was great.
The editing is simplistic and stylish, the narration clean and captivating, and (despite this video feeling a bit scattered) the general premise/information told is intriguing.

DUDE I CANT KEEP UP WITH THE QUALITY OF THIS VIDEO KEEP MAKING THESE
I watched your first video without even knowing and thought "huh this guys is good, he prob has like a few hundred thousand subscribers" its insane how good these videos are, you definately deserve more.
Gotta say, Arch, your videos are amazing! I watched both and I absolutely love them.
Congrats on reaching 10k subscribers (refreshed page and already on 11.5k). We need more people on this platfor with dedication to their content like you and I really love the editing of your videos. They are both pleasant to watch and listen to!
I wish you luck on your RUclips journey
Those Videos are sooo well edited and animated
Didn’t this RUclips channel just start? Holly you blew up. Rightfully so the quality and time put into these videos betters others with huge budgets. Good job 👍
Yes! Thank you!
How is such a new youtuber this good? If i didn't know better I'd expect you have been making videos for years, great job!

Same
this video is so aesthetically pleasing, and so structurally beautiful, i am honestly scared that i didn't even notice 33 minutes and 48 seconds go before my eyes, and even more that i don't regret it
For the ubisoft balancing strat, it goes waaaay deeper than that.
1) Valve's issues with toxic workplace environments and the failed implementation of the "no bosses" strategy is well-documented
2) Nothing gets done
As for the point onSiege's balance, I absolutely understand the gripe that Ubisoft decides to nerf operators to the lowest common denominator rather than attempt to fix fundamental issues with bad operators, but in a game like Siege where a TTK of 200 milliseconds is considered piss poor there is absolutely a concern of power creep.
Thanks for making such an AMAZING documentary, I really enjoyed it!
what a gem of a video, for a channel this small! Well done!
Ever since the new RUclips CEO is thinking about ideas that might ruin in the near future, content creators won’t give up so easily.
*Keep doing what you do best*
You have a really engaging art style and explanation style! Your care and work put into this is really evident!
Good to see you still uploading, will be checking in next year.
Bro... This video was literally on summoning salt level. Keep up the great work, I know you're gonna go places on youtube if you do.
I thought there would be a ton more videos on this channel I love the way you make videos and keep it up
I wish to make a game one day and this vid helped, I can't code but this channel helps me know how to make games more fitting for people
I hope I come back to this comment one day. thank you@@poleve5409
This has been one huge ride to watch! It sucks to hear that Siege was really kicked down that much by Ubisoft's balancing approach, and I've been wanting more and more to check out TF2 again since I tried TF2 Classic, so that should be fun to do whenever I do :)
Also the comment is edited because I was going to ask about the "Melee" nametag being a joke or not (I had the feeling as I noticed the one video you used for it) until you named it again lol
Such a well structured video! Hope you'll get more subs, you definitely deserve it :)
I have about 11 years of experience playing TF2 (more than 5,5k hrs in total).
The devs did s o m e t h i n g to the game, now it's easier to deal with bots and also some really nice fixes were made (like fixing projectiles' hitox for a 8 year old weapon lol)
But it's just not enough D:
At this point I just hope for a semi-automatic system for making the game's updates in the future - using Steam Workshop, vote polls or something that the actual community can participate in.
Every second of your videos are worth watching
You need to make more videos. I truly believe you have the potential to be an amazing content creator.
Remember that Nintendo's legal team is different than the development team !
I loved this video and its ending. Keep doing work like this, I love it!
Avgerage Assassins creed 4 enjoyer 👌
i’m super impressed with your visuals! i’ve never played any of these games but this video got me invested!
being a gamer for far too long this video perfectly explains how modern games have fallen from grace and opens my eyes to why i and many others don't enjoy gaming as much as i used to while being paired with immaculate editing you fully earned my subscription 2x over well done
The website that published it Hard-Drive is a satirical news site, like The Onion, but for tech and games.
you deserve so much more wit hthese videos i mean this is crazy good
I've only started playing R6 actively during Y7S1 Demon Veil, so I'm just learning about how the game has been in it's earlier days.
It really is a rarity that happens like 4-5 times a year, if even.
watching this right after helldivers 2 is especially funny
i love the editing and the documentary , good insight. well done
People love to complain about how TF2 is going bad, but not about how microsoft is ruining minecraft.
Games called tf2 (titanfall 2, team fortress 2) seem doomed by developer neglect smh
Ubisoft is so incredibly bad that myself and others call them "goobiesoft"
I think the biggest problem with really popular games is when the bad part of the community enters and grows very fast like sweat and stuff
Man, I don't know how you don't have a million subs already. Keep up the great work. Love these videos.
He only has 3 videos.
Bro that Nintendo one hurts as someone who used to be a massive fan of the company, just seeing what they are doing even beyond what the video covers baffles my mind
Great video my guy
You didn't know that?
My problem is, why is the conole on their way to be the best Nintendo console. Cancel this sh*t they don't even make good games for it. I hope every switch honor find peace anyhow.
Almost everything in the Nintendo section isn't true, though.
