@@brogoram I considered getting one till I found out they come with Floyd Rose Special bridges. $1200 for a guitar with a half rate floyd is whack. A shame too because they're made in Japan so the rest of their quality is going to be top notch.

Not had the pleasure of meeting Phil, but I get his love of Jackson guitars. The first guitar I ever bought myself, is a 1988 Jackson USA Custom Shop Soloist. I've had it ever since. I also love my Les Paul's. One of these days, I want to add a Kelly.

Man can Phil really tear it up and that guitar is just amazing! As far as i know the sustainer in his guitar is made by Floyd Rose correct? I've been trying to find out a little more info about the sustainer unit that's in my old '89 Kramer Sustainer guitar as that one is made by Schaller. I was just wondering as both sustainer units use two 9-volts so i think they might be similar. I was just wondering if they really are that similar and if you guys would even know. Thanks. I got the new Charvel DK24..I didn't realise how similar it is to all these older Jacksons.
Same body, same headstock, HSS... mine has a great shredder's contoured neck heel, but still...those neck-thrus are the ultimate, aren't they?
I remember that Pawnstars show. They called Phil and a couple of the band to come in, and the bloke selling the guitar didn't have a clue who they were!😂
The neck profile on his guitars is quite monstrous, but definitely works for him!

Cool Awesome Jackson guitars have a much thinner neck than any Les Paul I've ever played. To me, Jackson's are THE shred guitar. If playing fast is your bag, you owe it to yourself to at least head to a guitar shop and play one. Personally, I've only played one USA jackson, but their standard "speed neck" seems to be pretty constant across all of their different series. As far as sound goes, I've never been disappointed in any of mine. I can get massive swelling chords or sharp and biting leads. They play great, and sound great as well. Seriously, play one. Even the lower-end axes are impressive.

All Charvelle, Jackson, and Suhur or however you spell them are are over priced Fender Strats with hum buckers and fancy paint or tops. I build guitars so I know what goes into building these and yes they are cool but waaaaaaay over priced, Buy a mexican start and swap the pickups and bang you have one of these. Save yourself a couple gran, you can even put a floyd rose on it if you want.
I recall seeing The Pat Travers Band live back in about 1978 at Sheffield city hall. They were supported by a band called "Girl" I think...and I'm sure Phil Collen was on guitar. ...🙄🎸😎

huh? Jackson guitars are a beast! js32 and Monarch pro are awesome Floyd rose on my 32. floats, and screams. ESP, PRS, love them. no Fenders, no Gibsons, not wasting my $ when there are beast for under $800
Own one. I'm not a fan of the Dimarzios, but the guitar does cover a lot of ground sonically and nicely splits the difference between a Strat and a Les Paul.
I love Jackson. I have owned them over the years. My Les Pauls and Strats hate them. Yep the are comfortable, gorgeous and sound like a rhino coming at you at warp speed. I would say they are well, perfect. Wish I could have one now. They are a little pricey but worth it.

What gr8 things we can have when we have the money! Why is every famous guitar 🎸 player have to have a signature guitar named after them! The main interest for. Guitar player is “Tone” and “Sound”...that’s why all the pedals now! When I was a touring musician I had 2 pedals, MXR distortion, and a “Memory Man” echo! I also have to have Ebony finger boards. They just get better with age I mean Phil, how many guitars can u play at once? Toys man toys!
Maya guitar I like , but in Mexico City there is no Maya’s , but any how the figurine it is PAKAL BOTAN last emperor of the Maya’s in Palenque Chiapas its the mortuaries mask made of jade that was fund in his grave , excelente detail.
I wonder if Phil agree's with the Fender/jackson's RRP of his signature models .. which is far out of the reach of many guitar players .. who don't have deep pockets .
Pretty much the only Jackson I'd buy. The headstock is a deal breaker for me. I had a reverse headstock Ibanez RG and it didn't make it a year, just doesn't look right. Phil's guitar here with a rosewood neck would be ideal.

I wanted a guitar so bad when I was a kid, but I had no money. Then I read an article about Brian May and his home made guitar so I made mine. Carved the body and neck from wood scavenged from a table and chair. I got a free Humbucker pick up from the parts bin at the music store in town and made a volume knob from a Radio Shack rheostat. I had a buddy who was into ham radio and he did all of the soldering and wiring. We made the frets from coat hanger wire and the tuning pegs were taken from a broken old acoustic. Used to plug it into the back of an old Panasonic table radio with a cassette recorder. I made a bottle neck from a piece of copper pipe. I tried so hard to play slide like Duane Allman! Turns out that I'm tone deaf and I play like a screeching cat. Some people bitch because all they have is a cheap Squire and a 20 watt amp. I would have killed for a real rig.
