@ So there are no cities worth living in then. Every day I count my blessings that I live up in the hills of Bel Air so yeah, I’m not leaving. The flat lands are bad news now. What’s weird is most Americans just sat and watched all of this incubating for decades until it’s too late. ⏰ leave the country or move to a better neighborhood! Not sure about that voting stuff anymore.

Sad thing is, it has the potential to be a good neighborhood. I'm in shock that the homeless just drop down wherever they are in full view, and people practically step over them as they go about their business. In my youth the homeless found little hidey holes or slept on benches in Central Park. The police went around in the morning and nudged them awake with their nightsticks. The numbers have increased exponentially. It seems to be a hopeless situation. 😥 and the trash, OMG. The rats must be as big as cocker spaniels by now.

For sure. Better than what it was at its lowest, and the city trying to gentrify south of here at Mott Haven. Rand Corp told FDNY to pull fire services out out of the Bronx, so once a fire started in the late 70s that's why South Bronx burned. Pretty cool trick, eh,m

Genius level thinking here. "Tourists stick to tourist areas." Wow. Who would have known that. How is that unique to NYC? And this is just a rough area of an otherwise great city. There are very few rough spots. And yes, visitors do visit them. Deal with it. Not all of us are fragile.

Me my girlfriend and some friends went to New York in February 2024, and this was the exact street where our hotel was located, (Opera House Hotel at minute 10:15), So many memories in this video!!!
It can be a little intimidating walking around that area, especially during night time and it is definitely a very different environment compared to Manhattam. It snowed a lot during that time while we were there, but overall we had a blast in New York! But anyway like you said "if you don't bother people, nobody is going to bother you."
