- We took a size 40 pant and made it fit a size 29 model! Want to know how we did it? ADDING PLEATS TO THE WAIST! This method is great for adding a little style while getting rid of a lot of extra fabric without messing up the pocket placement.

Great video, I'm learning to tailor because a lot of my thrifted pants don't fit, these videos are so helpful
Have been getting back into sewing again after several months of procrastination. I'm making another pair of trousers and wanted to find some inspiration on youtube and here your video pops up like the stars have alligned!
I actually have several pants that I treated this way.
I'm so glad I found this video, I'm considering doing something similar (although I'll only be needing to take about 2-3" off the waist). I've sewn a ton of things from scratch but I don't have nearly as much experience modifying preexisting clothes, and I couldn't find anyone else who'd tried adding pleats to take a waist in so I wanted to make sure I wasn't getting in too over my head.
I love how they turned out! I found you because I am taking in my grandpa's ww2 army jacket to fit me as well as possible, so it was cool to see the man to lady trouser fitting
Dude! Pure art!
Wow. I love it. Very neat and stylish.
Awesome job. I Love the Difficulty and Challenge of Redoing Paints. I have also Shortened the Zipper / Crotch length! And It was a Task well worth it! Cheers!
Louis, intriguingly provocative topic.... You sir, you are a masterful clothier! I'm literally impressed! I wish your shop was out here in my neck of the woods.... I could totally utilize a master tailor such as yourself... How's your shop going? I'm sensing that your brand has climbed greatly!
Very cool thank you!
Hey Mate! Super happy to find your channel. I’ve always designed and sewn female garments. And now I’m finally doing what I like most and that’s male clothes. So in some areas I am still learning, pants specifically. I have a question, if I have my basic pants block, and I wanna add 2 pleats to my pattern without adding width to the bottom. Would recommend to use the slice and spread method? Thank you in advance 🙏🏼 Keep the videos coming 😁😁
Awesome! ❤
Excellent video. Thank you. So happy I found it. I need to take in the waistband of my husband's trousers 6 inches. I especially like the idea of adding pleats.
This is what I want to do with some trousers. But thereare some steps I think would be more clear with a wide view, it is so close up sometimes I get lost about where it's happenning. I also didn't understand how the waistband was closed as I didn't see you trim the spare fabric and I don't know how you closed it afterwards!
I plan on doing this to my suits and trousers when I lose the weight 😅
Thinking the opposite direction... I like to add pleats to a pants pattern but can never get enough space in the front. Maybe going for 3 sizes up on the front pieces is a way to go?
Ty
Nice video, sir.
what is that watch I love that bracelet?
Excillent 👍👍❤️🥰
