*_Usch....don't add moisture to low-grade cardboard._* *_Why didn't you guys 3D print new tile bases or lazercut new tile bases? You could even have made them LARGER._*
i dont do any crafting so iam new here but what type of base did you use for the tiles? paper and plaster or what product ? and what powder pigments?? i wanted to buy catan 3d but at this point I can spend like 100 bucks and do it myself.
So pretty ! But how are you suppose to make the numbers hold on each tile ? Would have been cool to see a workaround. Still a great job !! Really love it, gonna try my own ! PS: Carcassonne would be a great game to custom make in 3d, but good luck !
Eh just sit the number discs on each tile. Personally, I agree. Would have been nice to have like a little bracket on each tile for some miniature flags with the numbers on them.
@@MrMikellsof88 So I'm looking into printing little numbers with pins in the back and having a hole in the center of each tile to slot it in. Still need to test it though..
Carcasonne would certainly be a lot of work, especially with each tile being different. Would also make stacking them more difficult for drawing each turn. (Though maybe putting them into a bag to draw from would work also.)
@15:15 for future reference, a clove hitch is a super easy way to tie, well, clove-like bundles/bouquets together (there's 2 ways to tie it, one is just 2 loops that easily slip over the bundle, no knot necessary!)
My friend had this game when we were younger called escape from Atlantis. It was real fun. You had hexagonal tiles (like catan) but they made up an island in the middle of the board that throughout the game would slowly sink. You had to get your people tokens off the sinking island while also avoiding the sea creatures that would be controlled by the other players. Would lend itself really well to a high quality remaster by you guys I reckon 😀👍
way to make wheat from bristles: 1. mix white wood glue with water 2. cover only the surface of a small tray 3. stand dry brush upright 4. leave to dry 5. cut as long as you want 6. repeat
The mine scaffolding was made with matchsticks, but the trees and logs were made with (round) toothpicks. Which are not good toothpicks, but good for scenery.
Cozy board indeed! For fields and grass to stand up more, maybe an Electrostatic Flocking Machine can help in future projects? Greenstuff World has one. I've seen the concept on Tested, when Adam visited WETA.
There are many amazing 3D printed options out there, but a lot of people don't have printers, so we really wanted to elevate the tiles in an approachable way. Thankyou for your kind words!
Look great and will elevate game time! Suppose you could seal the bases first with matt spray paint or mod podge. Little bit of a wait before its released but Star Wars Shatterpoint will be a fun one to make terrain for since it looks similar to Crisis Protocol.
Little ships would have been fun to see since everything else is 3D. This is a more approachable conversion than the 3D printed ones, but would easily let you work up to that.
While pretty, does it play well? Like, is there enough space for number tokens to sit comfortably on each tile? It didn't stand out to me as a potential problem until you put the thief down on the desert and I was like "Oooh.... how does that fit on other tiles?"
DAMNIT!!!! Murray, ( idk how he spells his name 😢) and Jen! You guys are so amazing. Ugh. Every time I watch them I just get filled with confidence. How they express and describe the vision as it comes together is mind blowing. NEVER STOP!!!!!!!!!!!
Soo cute! I love the sheep, but I think my favourite tile are the mountains. Ever heard of Terra Forming Mars? I fear the tiles are too small for something like this. But it would present a lot of opportunities
This looks great. I'm more DIY though. I'd be cutting the tiles out of a jig with whatever trash plywood I can find by the side of the road. Great work!
haha! this kind of thing is exactly why I started painting in the first place. I'm not at this level yet, but it's exactly what I'm aiming for. Cheers!
Murray is definitely coming out of his shell and it's amazing! He walked right past me while I was at work the other day and I was too scared to say anything 😭😭
I really applaud the effort and the creativity put into a lot of this, however without spaces to put the numbers, this is pretty unplayable. Kudos to how the settlements & cities were designed with character though.
Very nice! I wanted to do this with Robo Rally for a long time. May be that could be your next game board tuning. I am especially curious how your solution for the laser beams would look like.
1. This is super cool. 2. How do you store it and where do you put the numbers on the board (or is this not really meant to be played?). 3. Gosh, just so cool. Good job.
Each tiles has space for the numbers, the only functionality lost is storing it is a little difficult. We put it on a little tray and slide it onto a narrow shelf we have for this sort of thing
Now create a game box for it. A carrying case? Might be a fun project. I have watched other creators make boards; this is one of the better ones. Love the sheep.
I always wanted to make a 3D Catan for my father. This looks really cool. But you didn't leave any spots for the numbers on the tiles and I was confused you didn't do anything to the actual habors (boats)
The German version of Catan has waaaaaay more detailed roads, cities, and settlements. The roads look like little cobbles paths with a border on the edges, the settlements have a few little houses with their own little streets, and the cities are a bunch of tall clustered buildings. The American versions really are just sad little wooden blocks. Very disappointing. But good for customization!
Would love to see the WAR board game done well ! Like using epic 40k for the pieces. I love this game but it’s pieces and board can be well improved and there are even different variants of it like lord of the rings game of thrones !
Ngl, I kinda wish they used a static applicator for the fields and the wheat, but thinking about it now I guess it would be much more likely to be messed up in storage.
Really great result! Glad the tiles didn't warp with the glue. I made my own 3D version with 3D printed tiles with magnets to hold all the tiles that gives them a satisfying to click to snap them together. Curious, how do you plan to add the number marker to each tile?
Next time your worried to soak paper or cardboard like that, maybe give it a good varnish or mod podge coat first? just a suggestion for your future projects. Love this idea though, been wanting to the same thing for quite some time now.
Oooh very nice! And very doable for a beginner i think. And also very jealous of the wood houses. I can only get the sets with the stupid plastic ones here :(
thks for the HeroForge update! got 5 of my characters as SLT earlier ^^ now to get the anycubic to print them... Also, have you heard of a game called FLAMECRAFTER ? look into it, there's much opportunity for customisation and build in this tabletop gem ^^
I would love to see what this guys can do with something like cluedo small mansion with all the different rooms, heck I might give that a try and I don’t have half the skill or resources table top time has

When is the AoS battle report coming out
I've been waiting for ages and staring to wonder if it actually coming out 😥
*_Usch....don't add moisture to low-grade cardboard._*
*_Why didn't you guys 3D print new tile bases or lazercut new tile bases? You could even have made them LARGER._*
I actually tried hero forge out. Its pretty cool,
i dont do any crafting so iam new here but what type of base did you use for the tiles? paper and plaster or what product ? and what powder pigments?? i wanted to buy catan 3d but at this point I can spend like 100 bucks and do it myself.
Betrayal at the house on the hill would be a cool game to do next! Spooky haunted 3d house!
And such a fantastic game
I want to like this a hundred times more
Ugh YESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! With the expansion with the attic would be PHENOMENAL
Great Idea, but how would you shuffle?
I've been think about starting such a project, but I've been dragging my feet
This is something i would have never thought to do, but now want to so bad! Those mountains are crisp, and I would absolutely die for Jenn's sheep
So pretty ! But how are you suppose to make the numbers hold on each tile ? Would have been cool to see a workaround. Still a great job !! Really love it, gonna try my own !

@@MrMikellsof88 So I'm looking into printing little numbers with pins in the back and having a hole in the center of each tile to slot it in. Still need to test it though..
@@Funkyboudha That would be another great way of doing it. Great idea.
The robber also has a tough stand in the mountains, probably also worth thinking of a solution...
Carcasonne would certainly be a lot of work, especially with each tile being different. Would also make stacking them more difficult for drawing each turn. (Though maybe putting them into a bag to draw from would work also.)
Maybe not as much of a classic, but a sculpted Root board could look absolutely stunning
With cute little characters this could be so wholesome
I'll second this, it would be so adorable!
@@TabletopTime I think the phrase you're looking for is "cute little murder hobos". That game is brutally wholesome.
Oh my God those Lil sheeeeeeep they're precious 🥺
Very cool "beginner" idea! I always love seeing the effect of drybrushing on projects like this, really makes everything pop 🤩
@15:15 for future reference, a clove hitch is a super easy way to tie, well, clove-like bundles/bouquets together (there's 2 ways to tie it, one is just 2 loops that easily slip over the bundle, no knot necessary!)
Those sheep! Oh my goodness, they’re so adorable! The entire project is amazing!
I would love to see you build the little ships and some road tiles.
Also, Candyland could be a cool project for the holiday season.
Something about giving the little houses a hair cut was very funny to me haha
My friend had this game when we were younger called escape from Atlantis. It was real fun. THE SHEEP!!!❤❤❤
Also it would be fun to see you guys 3D "CLUE"
With all the rooms and mysteries, that would be so COOL!!!

1. mix white wood glue with water
2. cover only the surface of a small tray
3. stand dry brush upright
4. leave to dry
5. cut as long as you want

This was great. I think a fun project could be making a board with different seasons. Like Catan during the winter.
How about “Betrayal at the house on the Hill”? I think you guys would have a blast adding to that
I love all your content so much! it's both interesting, relaxing, and hilarious! It really inspired me to get in the hobbbies
THis looks sooo good!! But where would you place the numbers for the tiles? :D
Theres space on the tiles! Only the mountain has an area that isnt close to perfectly flat
The mine scaffolding was made with matchsticks, but the trees and logs were made with (round) toothpicks. Which are not good toothpicks, but good for scenery.
Cozy board indeed!

Ours is broken! Otherwise we would have. We need a replacement ASAP
Whoa! Murray and Jenn going hard!!!!!
At first I was unsure about sculpting terrain on top of the preexisting tiles, but job well done!
I haven't played Settlers of Catan for ages, but I remember when it first came out in 1995.
Love the idea of making 3d Catan pieces. We 3d print and paint minis but never thought of this. Liked and subscribed :)
There are many amazing 3D printed options out there, but a lot of people don't have printers, so we really wanted to elevate the tiles in an approachable way. Thankyou for your kind words!
Now all it needs is the little boats, and some numbered flags that you can plant in the tiles to make it playable
you put all that effort into the water texture only to leave the boats 2D.
That looks so damn amazing!
I love it. And those sheep are just adorable.
Look great and will elevate game time!
Suppose you could seal the bases first with matt spray paint or mod podge.

Murray is how it’s spelt according to the subtitles at least
It would be really cool if you did resin for the water and printed/sculpted boats!!! looks great!!!
I agree. It looks great in resin. ruclips.net/video/nfmqxZiveWw/видео.html
This looks so awesome!! I'd love to have a Catan game like that!! 🤩😍🤩
You guy should do candy land that would be so cool
I never really watched any tabletop before but this video was awesome
I am in love with Jen's sheep and I want a whole flock of them
One of my family's favorite game :D I love the tiles!
Thankyou! Its a classic and a favourite of ours too!
my heart is melting, this is soooo cute!!
This is so cool! You guys did a great job!
Soo cute!
I love the sheep, but I think my favourite tile are the mountains.
Ever heard of Terra Forming Mars? I fear the tiles are too small for something like this. But it would present a lot of opportunities
GORGEOUS! part 2 will be the roads and ships and DLC stuff?
This looks great. I'm more DIY though. I'd be cutting the tiles out of a jig with whatever trash plywood I can find by the side of the road. Great work!
so cool, love the vids
thankyou!
I would really love to see something like this done for Blackstone Fortress tiles
Great idea! Congrats!
haha! this kind of thing is exactly why I started painting in the first place. I'm not at this level yet, but it's exactly what I'm aiming for. Cheers!
Wow this turned out amazing I love it
Beautiful. Well done.
So amazingly cute! Great job!
Q tips/cotton swab tips for the sheep. Dot on the face with a marker or something. Bam easy sheep.
Good idea! Someone needs to try this
I want Murray saying "luster" as my ring tone.

Video 34 of asking for the Thunderbear cavalry that would use the Thunderwolf cavalry statblock
what type of clay did you guys use?
Very nice! I wanted to do this with Robo Rally for a long time. May be that could be your next game board tuning. I am especially curious how your solution for the laser beams would look like.
Lasers in 3D? without actual lasers... That is a challenge...
would love to see a parrot lord of change

We thought it would be cool to see what you could do building ONTO the tiles - Making a case would be super cool!
@@TabletopTime Thanks for the reply.

I never enjoyed this game, quite the oposite, but I really love this video. More please!
You got it!
I love catan so I can see myself doing that
A custom Nemesis (or Lockdown) board would be a cool project.
How do you store it when it’s not being played with?
The German version of Catan has waaaaaay more detailed roads, cities, and settlements. The roads look like little cobbles paths with a border on the edges, the settlements have a few little houses with their own little streets, and the cities are a bunch of tall clustered buildings.
The American versions really are just sad little wooden blocks. Very disappointing. But good for customization!
Hi what is the sculpting compound u use to create the mountains and textures on the hexagons??
I was really dubious about this when you started. It would have been really easy for the pieces to warp.
But it's turned out great. Good job.
Would love to see the WAR board game done well ! Like using epic 40k for the pieces. I love this game but it’s pieces and board can be well improved and there are even different variants of it like lord of the rings game of thrones !

such a good idea

I would be curious to see how you paint up the ships in Twilight Imperium, as game suggestions go.
I feel like I missed an intro for the video? Like it was just "board games!... and now we talk about tiles"
I think we just realised... its what it says on the packet, so why not launch into it
This would be great for 2mm wargaming boards. Great job

How does it store? 3D tiles are definitely a storage complication, and my experience with flock is that it falls off easily.

Doing Zombiecide might be sick with the 3d streets
How do you store those tiles?
What a dream game oh my gosh
Coming from Nerdforge, but liking it here so far❤😮
what about the roads?
I'd love to see what you could do with the original Fireball Island!
I would love to see what this guys can do with something like cluedo small mansion with all the different rooms, heck I might give that a try and I don’t have half the skill or resources table top time has
Love it!
Probably could have just put a layer of spray varnish over the cardboard to seal it
I remember playing catan, but my houses looked realy cool
I would pay… an obscene amount of money for this
Making a monopoly city skyline could be neat!
i've been thinking of doing something like this for ages but to make a planetary empires campaign board
At this scale, real sand looks more like rocks. Grout makes for better sand at smaller scales.
I wish your take on Neuroshima HEX and making unit tiles as miniatures or something...
