Dating is harder because you're learning each other. Marriage is hard because you're growing together. Growth can be uncomfortable even when it's in a positive direction. Just my opinion... doesn't matter to anyone but me. 🌹
Social media can become addictive, and use to have me not living in the moment with my husband. I use to have to post pictures as soon as I take a picture. Over the last couple of years I post pictures later or days after a date or a event. I also uninstall app, and only only pull up apps when I have downtime/ alone time. I want to enjoy every moment with my husband. Now for those who have to use it for work, and who are influencer I can imagine it is hard to manage as that is income. But for me it is only use for leisure so it is easier to manage not being on social media often. I also take social media detox breaks for weeks or months when needed.

I keep social media on one device only (my tablet) to limit my usage time and to not get distracted when I intend to be doing something else. If I pick up a phone, I don't typically want to scroll. I might want to check the time, see if I have missed calls or texts from immediate family, write quick ideas down in my phone notes, google something, read the bible app, play some worship music... I also don't keep my work/school/social email accounts on my phone, only my personal, oldest email account.
If I want to check my social media updates and am ready to potentially socialize with others via those platforms and inevitably get stuck scrolling for an hour seeing what else is going on with everyone after checking the notifications, then I know where to go for that (to the tablet, which I typically keep a few feet away).
Edit: even on the tablet, I intermittently delete the Facebook and Instagram apps and only go on via typing the webpage into an internet browser. I learned to set these limits as an easily distracted major procrastinator.

The Ellises, you all definitely need to take your show on the road… we are in Las Vegas.. I think it’s definitely a good show for interracial couples and differences that are involved, with everyday life, from cooking chicken too much, to how kids s/b raised.
Ewww. Put the phones down. Social media is NOT real life. Them folks don't give af about you... They just want to know how you're living. Go for a walk in the morning or something.
