Woefully late to viewing your video series on this dump truck. Loved seeing the young man (son) helping out with the clean out of the bed. My favorite part was seeing & hearing your dad walk us thru the process of changing out the points, condenser, cap & rotor. I had, on a couple of occasions, my grandpa & dad walk me thru this process…, that was a long time ago. I “ain’t got no dad & grandpa left”. My grandpa had that southern draw accent, and hearing your dad talk sure brought back some memories…, and tears to my 59yrs young eyes. Great video, I thank you sir.
That's my dad actually. He is an awesome mechanic when it comes to fixing stuff like this. Definitely will have him in more stuff as it comes along though.
got a video idea for ya if ya havent got one already, but have you changed out the ecu on the 87 i6 4.9? mine keeps boggin down when i press the skinny pedal changed out just about everything except the throttle body sensor and iac. ive read it could be the egr or bad ecu.
