Have you had to replace the radiator yet? I cannot find a new radiator for our 1970 F-600 330ci. On LMC truck all they have is ones for F-100, F-250 and F-350.
No, I have not I actually sold Old Blue back in August 2023 If you track down a radiator shop they should be able to go over your brass unit and redo it. Even if it is a bit pricier than an aluminum unit, the brass units hold up better long term
my truck had bad gas in it, put a pump and changed filter inside pump twice. also had another filter before carb. lots trouble getting brakes right. need power steering
Does your truck still have 9.00-20's on the rear and if you where did you buy the tires at? I have a 1970 and I can't find any tires like your in 9.00-20.
Yes I’m not sure where you are, but Puckett’s Tire in Salyersville, KY got them for me PowerKing 9.00-R20 tires, tubes, flaps and installed them for $2,000 (all 6 tires)
Not too bad of shape for it's age. Is the dump body sub frame on the passenger side cracked or did someone weld something to it? Just a FYI, but there should be a couple of 3 port plugs under the dash that give you power when the key is on & another set of plugs for dash/instrument lighting. Key power should be red w/green tracer & panel lighting is blue w/red tracer.
@@TheFSeries lol, I think I've met a dozen people with the same first name. It's kind of nice. I've got a pair of 1979s on my channel, one F600 4x4 and a F700. If you want the data plate decoded, let me know. I've got the books to do it.
@@TheFSeries oh man go for the idi 7.3 they love to drink waste motor oil and diesel it'll save ya a bunch in running costs. They'll burn anything that ignites pretty dang well
@@TheFSeries nice mines a 96 7.3ps zf5 as well . Do you have any videos of servicing the zf5? I've been wanting to do an oil change In mine since it has around 200k I've read atf works well in these transmissions
You mentioned selling it…I need an old dump for my place to haul some gravel. If you ain’t too far from middle TN…

Mine is squared away more or less.
Needs the wiring fixed, heater controls replaced and a few other odds and ends.
But runs fine

Hey man. I am originally from Kentucky. Meade County. Looking at buying a 1969 myself. Is $2500 too much? It runs and drives.
Given it has a clear title and the frame isnt trash, that isnt a terrible price.

Thanks for the info
No cracks I know of, and I hauled 5.5 tons of sand the other day with no issues.
+1 cool point for being another Wes lol

Just gave you a Subscription!
Are you part of the F500 and larger trucks Facebook group?
I'm sure they could find that info useful.
@@TheFSeries thanks! Yes, I belong to 6 of them. Have decoded many data plates for people over the years.
Where did you get the check valve for the hydrovac brake booster and do you have a part number? Thanks
Hey where do you find parts for this truck ?
Various places; however Napa Auto has a lot of items
What kind and weight of oil did you use?
I think I used 10w30 if I remember correctly
Love this truck 👍 keep up the videos is it a 385 series motor ? I'm not sure if ya had said it was a y block or a 370 😌
It just has a little 330 V8 (5.4l)
If I end up keeping it, I'll probably do a diesel 7.3 IDI swap in it

My daily is a 1988 F350 SCLB Dually with a 7.3 IDI and ZF5
