I want to get into faux stained glass. This is interesting and a different method. I might give it a go if I had alcohol inks but buying those might work out more expensive than the glass paints. It looks great so far!
Whow... that is so cute... looks great. I have used gloss varnish also. Never tried glue. I wonder how the alcohol ink color has held up. I have heard they fade. Its been done 10 months ago now. I will be interested to find out how its looking. Nice inspiration. Thanks Rae...hugs Sheryl 💙🎨💙
Had me laughing. I did the exact same things you did with the Elmer's Gue. Went to the store looking for clear school glue. They were out. I saw that small jar and picked it up thinking it was glue. Opened it a couple days later looked at . I said the same thing you did. "Oh it's defective." Stuck my finger in it. It bounced. Looked at the bottle again and thought to myself, "your an idiot." I may have even said it out loud.
Hi, very fun stuff…I’ve just started to get interest in this craft. I saw another video where colored glue was used for the leading. Do you have any thoughts regarding puff paint or using colored glue ? Thank you so much for sharing 😊
You could if you wanted I would seal it with a uv resistant spray if it was going to be exposed to a ton of sunlight as well. There's no way this one is getting wet where it is and if it ever did I have way bigger issues than losing this project!
If you do in PDF that turtle flower thing I will do it gallery glass format if anyone an use gallery glass products instead of elmbrs glue and alcohol paints...
@@RaesTurquoiseTurtle Rae I would love to see that! We have a special connection with dragon flies in our family. Going to try the fireman cup tonight! 😬😬😬.

I think for doing a lot of this the glass paints would be the better way to go for sure.

I'll put a picture on my community posts tomorrow if I think of it!
I just started doing this > I look forward to getting better, There is a learning curve.
This took me several tries I'm still not 100% happy but it was for my craft space and not something I plan to do often or to sell....

Very nice art 👍 what color u r using Ma'am ? Can u plz give a link ?
I used a ton of alcohol inks some were homemade. Every kind I tried worked....
Thank you Ma'am!
Would it be better to seal it with something just in case it gets wet?

What kind of paint do you use?To use glass paint
Love LeVar Burton. I bet his whiskey is equally delicious.

I dont have a pdf for this one sorry. This was just a fun little project for my craft room and has held up great so far.
You're so much like me, Rae. Wish we could hang out and craft-a-lot!
That would be so fun!
What kind of paint for frame ? Acrylic ? Water color paint ?
The faux stained glass framing was puffy paint for the actual picture frame it would depend on the frame stain, spraypaint, acrylic...
This made me late for work! So cool!!!!!!
Thank you! One of these days I'm going to get to my dragonfly one!

Pretty
Can I use glass paint by itself instead if mixed with glue?
Look great
Why do u use the white glue with the black and clear for the colored why can't you use the white glue for the colored part to if it dries clear
Awesome
Awe thank you happy to report it looks exactly the same today as it did then!
If it were me, I believe I would have applied a second coat of stain. Do you ever?
There's so many other ways I could have done better here 🤣 it was just for me though so it's ok!
Gotta hang it in a window
