Jasmine Guy's Music Side - The Beloved Whitley of a Different World - Chose Acting over a Music career. The lovely actress, dancer, singer, Jasmine Guy popularly known as Whitley on the Hit Television show A Different World released a debut and sole recording album to date in 1990 titled Jasmine Guy that delivered several hits including Another Like My Lover, Try Me, Just Want to Hold You, Don't Want Money. She also sang a song with Peabo Bryson titled Like I Need You. Although there was bound to have been opportunities to record more albums over time, it appears she focused on her acting career. We hope she gives us new music sometime soon.
