also, for the first fight against the venom daoist, concentrate on hitting his back, if you break enough arms you get the venom armguards, a secret alternative gauntlet for the venom set
Fully Upgraded common armor is the newest best defensive stats. The game is cool how you can get super strong weapons as the story goes, stronger by doing side quests especially after unlocking black smith in zodiac village. Even the pilgrim set fully upgraded is very powerful.
Absolute fav spear just the spear techniques alone make it worth it and the fact that you're actually piercing them with each strike for once instead of just bonking them till they lose. Something about it feels more satisfying and dangerously sharp 😅
I love it just as much as the next guy.. but I’ve found it is still situational (you have to be stationary to build focus vs cloud stepping and running n charging smash stance. I love that tho.. if one isn’t working, adapt and switch
@@justinwimer707 Skill issue. Just don't get hit and you'll have all the focus you'll ever need. Ofc, some bosses are easier with a more offensive playstyle while some like the Yin tiger fight encourages you to play more defensively getting hits in after several perfect dodges and bring him down.
Idk if this was mentioned in here already, but if you burn thru all the Pale Bull’s dialogue before fighting that cart then he will be fighting it when you arrive to it.
I'm still in ch.3 and I beat the blacksmith second try. He has been one of the few bosses I actually like because he doesn't have a bullshit move pool and takes talent and timing to beat him.
The blacksmith's name is Yin Tiger He certainly has a bullshit move pool not to mention he literally spams constantly. You get two hits in, he immediately starts diving you with attacks. You can't even attack him when he's doing his teleport BS, spells are almost completely useless against him too He is a skill adjustment. I am happy I won after like 20 tries, he was the hardest boss in the game for me. Yellow Brow holds nothing to him, beat him first go like wtf, but these fucking Tigers give me a run for my money
@@HankHillBentOver yellowbrow was definitely one of the easiest fights in the game. I still hate yellow loong, I don't like how any of his lightning moves are animated to show when he's actually attacking.
@@HankHillBentOver I mean Radahn fight is more of a final tier skill check that we will ever get in Elden Ring. He is exactly as hard as he needed to be to make sure all the people who just overlooked or cheese built their way through the game lol
tri-point double-edged spear is probably the most OP weapon in my opinion. cause it buffs all attacks in thrust stance, and it has that ability to spawn swords in that one combo

@@defjam66x the staff scales with defence, so if you were to max out defence and stuff to get to like 400, 450 damage the wepon bassically doubles, making it 220 damage
The gold Suozi amor with the iron staff is the strongest if you have unlocked all relics... Not much crit but huge defense and almost 300 attack power. More if you use spellbinder...
Defeating yin tiger and then talking to him also lets you get more curio slots. Each new game plus gives you another one. Not sure the limit, but im on four already.
If you fine the secret armor (the one you find in the chest right after you get access to the Nimbus cloud) in Chapter 6 and and are at least at your 3rd play through like I am.. I’ve compared both the Bull king armor and the chapter 6 secret armor.. bru.. the secret armor has my defense at 800 vs the Bull king I can only max out at around 700 plus. And at 800 defense.. you definitely notice a huge difference when using the dark iron staff. Those big bull guys in the lava area get one shot easily with a 3 focus point smash
I think that instead of going to the rolling ball part you should go to ashen pass 2 if you go through the weird rock thing you can get there way faster just go forward it’s easier and faster

So I will say this game had me playing non-stop. It was so fun to play I couldn't put it down. However there are better stuff the get. Tri point spear is top dog and a few others that make life easier. Also a secret transformation is probably the best in the game.
nope It removes your perfect dodges. You value your dodge over some extra defense numbers. You have to completely change the playstyle. The illusions from perfect dodges also gives bust damage.
Not the highest defense, highest defense goes to OG stone monkey outfit in NG++ with over 850 def, plus attack means jack.. Just get 50% base crit with 180% crit damage, then have the crit increase on your gourds, the set bonus from 3 piece wukong armor and you have 70% crit dealing 80% more damage per hit pretty much, pop a crit potion for 80% crit chance and you're golden, doing almost double damage per hit.
Did I mess this quest up? I found the first three, but on the third one, up on the trail there was a bull there already fighting it, he has now since taken over Stalwart's place. Have no idea how to progress this quest line.
Third play thru is crazy how do yall know and figure out all this stuff in struggling on my first play thru I didn’t kill the scorpion king solo I miss the chance I left when he told me too and ended up fighting him in the boss and now I lost my chance to get that armor owell till next play thru ig
@@woosh1342 a concept armor with the same name as his original armor if u wanna find it just search chapter 6 secret armor - it scales on relics the base stats looks bad but when u have the full set on u magically get crazy defense
The real trick is getting the venom bracers from the Venom Daoist, which you can only do at the first fight with him by breaking off all six arms on his back. Playthrough 2 and I accidentally killed him... looks like it's NG++ for me
It might be a little late now, not too sure, but if you play on steam I heard you can reload steam save files. Just something to keep in mind if you accidentally kill him again
First armor set shown can’t be obtained fully until ng+, id craft everything but the helmet until you get to ng+, since your headgear gets removed in cut scenes anyway
Do the gourd master quest line meet him in random areas but the last one in chapter 5 is by 2 giants with shields he b is in a room and u must have ur gourd up to lol 9 to make it lvl 10

I haven't had much trouble with Scorpionlord. I found Yellow Loong much harder, as he gets a lot more aggressive during that last third of health.

Pretty sure there was a translation error on the word lower and it should be the higher your defense ghe higher the damage.
The Dark iron staff gets higher damage with higher defense
You have to beat the game twice to get the bullhorn gear
