if you're doing spellbinder builds, you should always switch ur clones to the revive skill. Cuz the revive skill is a passive and works through spell binder

I added some : 1. For spellbinder not only maximium mana increase your attack but your maximum stamina also increase your critical chance, but you must maximize your spellbinder spells 2. If you increase your bane resistance more to 100, you can not inflicted by that element. ex : if you have 100 burn resistance, you cannot get burned again 3. 'Dry spirit' is the best drink for healing to spellbinder user, it heal almost 70% of your health total 4. If your transformation is azure doom, equiping a ressurection passive skill can revive your transfomation too
i do not think so dry spirit is the best one for spellbinder because in boss fight if you do mistake of dodges , they can hit so hard and probably you would die in second combo. %18 of quick recovery would not be enough
For the Gold Button curio, yes the effect remains after you swap off of this, but it will quickly fall off within a few seconds. Tested this a few times myself. Again, the damage bonus does not retain for long after swapping this to a different curio, even if you remain at full health.
Hi, live saving strand can be used in spellbinder mode 👍 For even more mana you can equip the preservation orb , teleport to the next shrine , use spellbinding, then equip another curios
For even more mana and stamina, equip the globe that grants mana, health and stamina upon resurrection. Use the talisman to port you to a shrine which triggers the globe, pop your stamina and mana potions then switch out the globe for a backscratcher for more stamina. After equipping all the DPS stuff I have 400 attack, 57 crit chance and 221 crit damage. Light attacks crit for 3-4k and heavy attacks 13k
I have a same thunder build I just dislike having to charge the staff just to go into the shock state. Should be a better way to have these staffs all not just this one to inflict different bane effects on enemies feel like if u do a certain number of light attacks it should build up the staffs effect rather than charging it
The downside of Stormflash Loong Staff's "....and inflicts Thunder Damage with every staff attack WHEN IN SHOCKED STATE" is by the time you're in NG+ and you've got Shock Negation pretty high from filling up mind stones at Xu Dog, plus the meal and whatever else (for example my Shock Resistance is level 120 as is my other elemental resistances) it negates being in shocked state.
@@richardfusco8767 True. Thing is all my mind cores are already maxed out. Plus I find the Tri-Point Double-Edged Spear to be much better, especially with Thrust Stance. That Tri-Point spear is absolutely amazing with the Light attack-Heavy attack combo where after pressing with focus points you jump back and fire a multitude of spears at your enemy/ies. It literally melts them. I've played NG+ solely with it and in Thrust Stance and obliterated every boss with it 97% first attempt, 3% 2-3 attempts. Have you tried using it? If not I highly recommend you do.
The Loongscale set actually shortens the buff of the Stormflash Loong staff to about 30 seconds, yes you get a little bit extra damage but it’s not really worth it. The Pilgrim set works better imo since it’s constantly charging your focus points when running around anyway (charging smash stance while running is twice as fast with the Pilgrim set as well) and the StormFlash Loong staff buff lasts roughly 45-50 seconds which is a good bit of extra time to do more damage with it. For Curios: I use the Celestial Birthstone Fragment to bypass any resistance any enemy has to shock (or any of the four banes) The Amber prayer beads (which you’re already using on this build) it actually compliments the passives of the Pilgrim set as well. And then whatever other curios you want. Although the spell binder is great for crazy damage I prefer to use cloud step to charge the Staff and get the thunder buff without being interrupted by the enemy. Then immobilise the enemy and use the staff spin on them to immediately add the thunder debuf to them and quickly get 4 focus points then just continue to melt them away… by the time you need to charge the staff’s thunder buff again your cloud step spell will already be back and you can just rinse and repeat.

Yes you still have to manually charge the shock buff, but with the pilgrim set automatically building up focus points while you’re on the move then at least when you charge the shock buff you’re going to have a head start with focus points, plus manually charging the smash stance while running with the pilgrim set on is waaay faster to get your focus points up then with any other armour set. Otherwise with other armour sets any time you charge your weapon to get the shock buff you’re going to be charging it from zero focus build up and at a slower rate, and you’ll always only be at 2 focus points when the shock buff takes effect. Wouldn’t you rather already be on 3 focus points when you charge the shock effect so you can instantly release a stronger heavy attack after? Trust me, on a build that is focused on charging your attacks, the pilgrim set is your best friend.

This build is really get the benefit with cloud step spell to charge the thunder state in mid-battle (non spellbinder build). Bull set with weapon def bonus to atk is still more comfy to me (270 atk with arround 700 def) and with Ring of Fire spell can charge to 4th focus with cp3 relic and also uninterruptible while charging.
Switch all your gear to give you more mana before casting spellbinder as it all converts to damage. Then change everything back afterwards. Takes a moment each time cuz you habe to change, rest, use the spell, then change back. But the damage doesnt go away afterwards, despite having a smaller mana pool

You can equip one of preservation orb and use the talisman at a check point. On resurrection significantly increases Mana, stamina and health, use spell binder then unequip. Think I get 645 mana without medicine.
@@ogdavid96 If you want to buff your mana for the spellbinder build, equip the preservation orb. Then resurrect yourself at a checkpoint using the starting talisman you get. You get a buff to your mana, stamina and health. You can then use spellbinder and equip the curios you want. Make sense?

I used the golden long staff and i noticed i get more damage from charging smash dance then the pillar stance. I tested it on Yin tiger i would use ring of fire, cloud step, gore eye, drink, charge up heavy and did 5238 dmg. Tried the pillar stance did same method and got 4594 dmg. Pillar stance on golden long staff is good for area damage but overall best dmg i think is smash stance. Downside of smash is the enemies move out the way and miss alot. Pillar is almost always hits the enemy.
Looks like a fun build, looking forward to give this a try when I reach NG+. I already see I need to farm more thunderflame seals because I only have one. Right now I am using a Centipede build with 267 attack on my first play through, the self poison is a bit annoying but the damage output is great.
You can go on setting and set your attack and heavy attack to R2 R1. That way you can move the camera while sprinting and holding heavy attack. I used it for my first playthrough. The only downside of it is there’s a little delay on your combo when using R2 for heavy. But if you don’t use thrust stance+ resolute strike and Erlang’s weapon, you’ll be fine. For my ng+, I wanna use more flashy combo, so the original setting feels less delay to me.
@@onoybeuh I did turn it on, but when multiple enemies come at you all at once, I prefer to rotate the camera to have a better view than lock on 1 target. It's just personal preference tho.
You mentioned using the mana potion, but you can actually get the same efrect by using the talisman to port to the Shrine while being equipped with thr green orb curio. I always do that while using spellbinder to really min/max it
@@aaartvv it really is, I only really do it when I have long runs where I won't need to rest for a while in ng+, like after you land on the Bitter Lake in ch3 or after dropping in the hole in ch4. With the scattered will o wisps and blue aura enemies, you really never need to rest at a shrine because you keep filling your gourd, and it's not like you can really die without massively messing up at that point. Super hero mode 😂
@@ogdavid96 the one u in chapter 5, port back to chapter 4 the secret area entrance (where u fight a mini boss for the second time) there’s a outdoor area with tome stone, Bajie left it there. It boosts ur stats every time u port to the shrine while equipped
You can fix the camera issue 2 ways: 1: Use the awkward DMC “crab claw” strat OR get used to layout type 2 which I would honestly prefer if sprint wasn’t locked to the stick and staff spin wasn’t triangle…idk just feels weird
one annoying thing about being at max level is that I am maxing out on every element resistance. it make me immune to all status effects and I cant use this build unless I respect and not use my spark and medicine. they should let us be still able to self inflict status effects to ourselves, since having max resistance also lock you out from the poison build as well

That's why you have the resistance to electrified at 100 or more and that makes you immune to that effect you need to have it at 99 or below to be in the electrified effect

I'm stuck at 585 max mana. I have 3 mana curios, a fully upgraded spirit, the helm, upgraded mana skill and celestial medicines. I also did the Skandha quest. How did you reach 600? Is it an NG+ thing?
Never mind, I figured it out. I had all of the Celestial Pills from Mind Stone upgrades, but was missing one of the collectables from the open world. The total mana ends up being 605 though. You should really upgrade your transformations.
Thunder damage scale with your attack and damage, you can consider it a less powerful extra attack for every one of you attack. There are enemies in the game that are resistant or immune to Thunder/Shock damage. You will need a legendary curios for this build. I forgot what it's named. Thunder damage can't be critical. This part I am not sure as I've not seen it ever crit when I use it or there're just too many numbers so I don't pay attention to it.
NG+++ , i beat wukong from phase 1 to phase 4 without him sending me back to the shrine even once. No Meds buff too, i just went a big dick it without even breaking a sweat.
Dear players. Here to spread awareness of a bug regarding Stormflash Loong Staff. This happens mostly after several new game cycles, as that's when you max out your resistances. But be aware that for some reason, once you reach 100+ shock resistance, the weapon no longer stacks it's shock passive on you. Meaning it's become pretty much useless. For now it seems like an in-game bug/none intentional interaction. Just keep your shock resistance below that, and you should be good to go, untill further fix
@@tuandino6990 I'd say its a bug if it renders an essential part of a weapon mechanic useless. Self harm should bypass your resistances and still trigger according abilities. And I fully doubt it was an intentional addition to the game.
Thunder build looks great. Waiting for the weapon in ng+ to test it. However spellbinder setup is killing the fun imo. You waste too much time in menu. If there was full set switch with 1 button - fine. But for me it's too much doing and game loses a lot of variety while you cannot use so many mechanics. It's great at going through the map which is let's be honest not the problem anyway.
I’m only on my second run so far , but my friend abused it an done all 4 an got all relics with the grey armour set at the end , it actually caps the dmg at a certain point on defence but he had like 800 defence , at the min I just useing the end game set with jingubang cloud step , pluck of many , immobilise , in that order with 4 orbs just destroys everything in this play threw , 1 shots everything

You have to reset the mind cores and not max out the thunder or poison,I just did it with a poison build

I can’t use anything but the jingo+pilgrims. I got spoiled with the focus build up when running. Plus the speed boost.

my game bugged out. The shock meter does not show up and no Mather how long I charge the focus I don't get in to shocked state. That's a bug right?

If you have thunder resistance over 100 you will not be electrocuted. Youre immune at that point.

For this build. I also reignite and remove all the points in the 4 banes duration which makes the shocked stated last twice as long

I used this weapon with spellbinder. It was so fun.

i kept wondering why i couldnt activate my shock state... turns out i have over 110 all bane resist somehow.
Where can I get all the loong pearls? I am on NG++ and I still have only 8 loong pearls for the staff.

In NG+ you overpowered almost with any new weapon, it so easy that become disappointed

I'm stuck at 585 max mana. I have 3 mana curios, a fully upgraded spirit, the helm, upgraded mana skill and celestial medicines. I also did the Skandha quest.
How did you reach 600? Is it an NG+ thing?
Never mind, I figured it out. I had all of the Celestial Pills from Mind Stone upgrades, but was missing one of the collectables from the open world. The total mana ends up being 605 though. You should really upgrade your transformations.

Why dose my shock state don’t work when I charge my focus
Thunder damage scale with your attack and damage, you can consider it a less powerful extra attack for every one of you attack.
There are enemies in the game that are resistant or immune to Thunder/Shock damage. You will need a legendary curios for this build. I forgot what it's named.
Thunder damage can't be critical. This part I am not sure as I've not seen it ever crit when I use it or there're just too many numbers so I don't pay attention to it.
This build not gonna work if your lightning resistance over 100 which mean you're immune to Shock state.

The long scale set is bugged and doesn’t give any dmg buff. Your not getting any bonus dmg and just cutting the time your buffed by shock.
This build no working. I tested today and weapon bugged no activation shock. (all the same)
You probably have high resistance to the thunder status

NG+++ , i beat wukong from phase 1 to phase 4 without him sending me back to the shrine even once. No Meds buff too, i just went a big dick it without even breaking a sweat.

Here to spread awareness of a bug regarding Stormflash Loong Staff.
This happens mostly after several new game cycles, as that's when you max out your resistances. But be aware that for some reason, once you reach 100+ shock resistance, the weapon no longer stacks it's shock passive on you. Meaning it's become pretty much useless. For now it seems like an in-game bug/none intentional interaction. Just keep your shock resistance below that, and you should be good to go, untill further fix
Hmm, its isnt a bug? Thats how resistance works right? Once u reach 100 points of resistance you basically immune to that bane
@@tuandino6990 I'd say its a bug if it renders an essential part of a weapon mechanic useless. Self harm should bypass your resistances and still trigger according abilities. And I fully doubt it was an intentional addition to the game.

What is the point of trying to get so much mana when you can't use mana with spellbinder?

Bugged on Ps5 with latest Patch. Charging strong attack doesnt inflict thunder. Yep...
Wukong is famous as 72 spells and spell binder just completely nosense. I don't know why devs add this into game. Great damage but 0% wukong spirit.
Dont use that staff. Use the other staff that shocks basically instantly and you DONT have to shock yourself.

Thunder build looks great. Waiting for the weapon in ng+ to test it. However spellbinder setup is killing the fun imo. You waste too much time in menu. If there was full set switch with 1 button - fine. But for me it's too much doing and game loses a lot of variety while you cannot use so many mechanics. It's great at going through the map which is let's be honest not the problem anyway.

use the secret armor set that gives you extra armor for each relic point.

Dark Iron Staff is my favorite - no baby sitting anything. Just equip and go.
I’m only on my second run so far , but my friend abused it an done all 4 an got all relics with the grey armour set at the end , it actually caps the dmg at a certain point on defence but he had like 800 defence , at the min I just useing the end game set with jingubang cloud step , pluck of many , immobilise , in that order with 4 orbs just destroys everything in this play threw , 1 shots everything
I don’t understand how doing all this is fun by the time you done all that there’s no challenge any more pause unpause pause unpause that’s not any fun at all

Everything is good ....until you're in NG+4 nothing will help you....only your skill matter because enemy won't take enough damage.....whatever you build 🥲😂😂😂
NG+4 is a righteous test for patience.
