one thing the koreans score is the germans provide only the 1 litre in the budget segment that is below 18 lakhs, a 1.5 NA is best in terms of reliability and low rpm grunt compared to the 1 litre tsi,

Verna turbo or virtus GT, tech or handling. I’m so confused which one to take. Verna is neutral with tech and feature. Virtus GY with performance. City usage high it’s preferable Verna since it’s a defined DCT. Let’s see in months what is choose.

Let me put it this way , purely my suggestion and points which i have noted !
I have test driven both here's what many bloggers are not addressing which are key things to consider before purchasing
Don't blindly trust jst by car looks attractive or it's something xy brand
Sure virtus looks awesome and the 1.5 tsi which is imported is something punchy and an enthusiastic driver's car but still , is it justifiable at a price point of on road 23.5 l ???? Absolutely not !!!!! My main gripe or biggest issue with this vehicle is bloggers not addressing that the car has serious ac cooling issues and lots of rattles and low quality parts or made in india parts which vw grp are claiming is ridiculous at this price point ...
Secondly the reliability of the dsg is still a question mark and uffff the after sales and service costs of German cars must definitely to be taken into account .....
On the other hand verna turbo manual is 1.5 secs faster than vw and its bhp is 160 . Verna dct is 3L cheaper than vw and also Hyundai who has lot's of service station and cost effective after sales service which is a major plus shld be taken into account.
Thirdly one cannot ignore the tech features which is fully loaded with Hyundai verna which is an absolute banger at 19.5 L on road price in this car . I absolutely hate the 2 spoke steering wheel design . But that's jst my opinion .
And finally the ground clearance clearly virtus is the winner here considering the poor road quality in chennai with lot's of pot holes virtus hadn't scraped even a bit and handled even bigger speed breaker without any scratch .
So this is my verdict of these cars .
To confuse you guys more ,VW is shortly launching VW Virtus 1.5 GT with 'manual gearbox" ! 😀
Wait for the Verna N Line. It will for sure come with better dynamics and possibly with a newer steering wheel too. The looks of the verna are love it or hate it. Any day a Hyundai is much more reliable than VW. I'm quiet sure the crash testing will be around the corner. My only gripe with the Verna 1.5 T-GDI MT is that it comes with rear drum brakes. Would be nice of the N Line comes with MT + Rear discs. It would be a no-brainer for me if that combination is launched.

Yes, City is 8/10, highway is 16/18, I used to get same in Honda City manual ... Sometimes 9-11 & 16-19, 1 kmpl is a miss as the car is heavy & strong : which is needed in India as highways are becoming better

See the ideology about the cylinder is myth 3 cylinder is better in Volkswagen than other 4 cylinder car like Honda city cos the torque is much better in Volkswagen where vw cars go faster than other 1500cc 4 cylinder 1.5 litre engine!
