I bought vw Virtus 1.0 MT after seeing your review. I was looking for mid size SUVs creta or seltos...but after test driving Virtus..I went and booked it. I can say it is a great car with brilliant handling and very agile in terms of drivability..it misses out the older VAG built quality .But still it's better than maruti and Hyundai interms of build. missing 1.5 TDI which would've done wonders with the current models. Great content anna...love from Bangalore ❤️

VAG unable to cope with our Indian govt emission norms on Diesel engines and also the Diesel gate scandal became nail on the coffin. They entirely focused on Petrol engines and we won't be able to see Diesel variants from them in our market.

How is the car so far? In terms of mileage, maintenance etc.
Are there any issues you are facing in the car like the AC issue and steering alignment issue?
Your suggestion would be great for me to decide.
@@HariHaran-tc7vj I would say it's a great package if you are looking for style, comfort, driving dynamics & safety. If you use it extensively in city , go for automatic. If you are driving enthu & highway cruiser go for manual blindly. I did not face any steering alignment issue or AC performance issue.
Mileage: you can expect around 12 in city & 18+ in highways
Performance: you can maintain triple digits speeds at ease and this engine sometimes proves the saying "Drop a gear and Disappear 😅"

This format is better. There are no better cars available at a affordable price in any brand. So vw is costly and they give that equal build

In the closing you mentioned about the platform difference between Jetta & MQB (PQB vs MQB)
It connected well for me driving Virtus now
I sometime ago talked to you about Chinese models that VW is successful and parts sharing between Chinese and Indian models
So German Engine, Indian Body Built with local interior parts and (cost advantage that is benefited by cross sourcing India & China) is the end product that we witness here as Virtus and Taigun
Going forward it will be likely to be similar and slightly better than this
Coming to proportions, VW will not compromise on sportiness and handling.. so dimensions are important which is better than competition.
We might be able to see a longer Virtus with a different acronym on a same platform (replacing Jetta/ Passat) even at cheaper prices
that might be iD6 or whatever
Unknowing the product line up is a strength
They might pull up a new model without a hint
For example T-Roc
You missed about VW Up A size car and they dropped it because of chosing not to compromise
You had spoken about maintaining complexity in a single manufacturing plant (reason for not making Polo in India)
And if Polo is sourced with China suppliers the outcome will be negative within our customers
Coming to Engine weight :
So when parts and it’s weight are reduced, energy spent to make them is also reduced which gives company lower Carbon foot print etc etc
So VW had Ratna’s and pearls like Polo Vento Jetta Passat Phoeton Touareg etc.. btw speak about Phaeton sometime in a content.

The DSG gearbox that made Volkswagen a pioneer in dual clutch transmission system was the DQ 250 which was a 6-speed DSG introduced in 2003. It was known for its solid reliability. The current DSG which the Volkswagen group has is the DQ 200 which is a 7 speed DSG which is way better in performance than its predecessor but had a lot of reliability issues. One of the main reasons cited by our fellow auto enthusiasts is that the DQ 250 was wet clutch and the DQ 200 is a dry clutch which brought the difference in reliability.
Hi, increase sound quality of co speakers and increase their screen size.. Seeing two members in that small screen in not that good.. considering most of the people watch in mobile
I recently purchased Taigun, only reason to go for this car is Safety. I accept your weakness points like lot of components are locally sourced, AC throw is not that good. Suspension is bit hard. But when you shut the door that thug sound , tough to find this sound in any other cars in this segment, even the roof rails are stronger in this segment. I personally feel safety should be the first consideration at any cost, never compromise on this pls.

They should have launched a sub 4m SUV along with Kushaq, huge population wants to buy a car within 10lac price range. After Ford ecosport stopped, people were searching for a car with good build quality and handling and right now there is none in the market.8000 crore invested for merely 7000 units/ month sales.
Yes they should consider in sub4M suv in 10-14L price range(onroad)
My younger brother bought polo GT automatic... Still I enjoy the car it's fantastic.. I still wonder why they didn't give a van both for commercial and private use ( truly said, I thought about it way back around 2010.. At least some one in Volkswagen should see motowagon and think about bringing a van from 20 lakh upward..)

I was about to buy vw taigun last week, but due to roof and plastic quality, i switched to buying used polo car. Don't wanna put 20L for such plastic.
Vw and Skoda won't leave India they have a proper plan and they are not like a ford or gm

Yes AC cooling problem is there in TAIGUN 1.0 L Engine but according to VW they dont accept it.
I have taigun-jun 22 model, no issues regarding AC

@@palanipraveen1983 1.0, yesterday I took for first general service, and they installed another AC update too, VW working with each and every issues and resolving now, even I got auto sensing wiper issue, and they found the issue with motor and they arranged for warranty replacement

VW offers mostly premium models. Price of Cars ,Service cost and spares were considered higher. My relatives drivers told me quality was not on par with Honda or Toyota. China is different. Roads are much better and wider. VW cannot hope for bigger sales volumes.

I own 2018 Volkswagen vento TDI. It’s perfect build quality, very good car,very good handling, stability of the car is very beautiful. Pick up and it’s sudden pick will be very amazing. But disadvantage is service is very poor and very expensive. They never sale the spares. Lots of cost Cutting. They don’t upgrade the models easily compared to global variant. Compare to vento built quality vitrus built quality is not upto that level. Vitrus comes with 1.0 cc we pay very high cost for it which was used in last 2020 to 2022 polo and vento petrol. Why can’t they provide 1.5 TSI as standard for all the variant. Diesel cars are missing. Volkswagen Clarton Horn is missing now and they provide hella horn. We don’t get globally featured car.If they continue the same sure Volkswagen will move out of India like GM Motors.

If VW didnt sell well, the onus is on the consumers and not on the manufacturer. Honestly they tried to give us superb build quality cars with wonderful driving dynamics but we were just not ready to buy them. Rightfully they have now cut down on all such models. Taigun and Virtus is last chance for us. If we dont buy, then it will be game over for them. When they leave, we will be left with Shitty cars from MS, Hyundei, and Kia

Vw 1.5 ltr tsi is still imported engine in India, this makes the price differentiation between 1 ltr and 1.5 ltr is too high. Also 1 ltr tsi gives very less fuel efficient esp in city and less fun on top end, if you want to go 1.5 ltr it is too high on price. Their main cost cutting was coming down to torque converter from DSG in their lower end cars. Having said that, DSG has high maintenance. For enthusiasts, they should have retained DSG better in long term ownership.

Great content on VW’s SWOT analysis, I personally do not think this 3-member communicative format is bringing any value to the content as such.
Also the biggest T-hreat is the yellow-shirt guy yawning throughout the video (feels like he isn’t interested neither in the topic nor in the video), such an attitude makes us viewers loose interest in the content after a while.
