Your dolls and puppets are not just toys, they are works of art. You have put so much love and care into making them, and it shows. You are a wonderful artist!
I've seen a few of your vids now and they are absolutely charming. I hope to try this project with my daughter, if I can get her interested. I imagine having a crafting table dedicated to projects like this really helps with the logistics (and potential mess) of making them. I was also thinking that one might make "head maracas" using this method, except instead of filling the rolls, just cap them off at both ends and put something like popcorn kernels or seeds, in the middle and make the neck a little longer for shaking. Could add some extra fun. Do you think they could be made sturdy enough for something like this?
A crafting table probably helps. This was a piano stool from my gran's old house, with a bit of board on the top! I hope your crafting goes well. It would certainly work with maracas too, yes, just have to move things about a bit.
Maybe some circular bit of card on the top and bottom, covered in papier mache, would be study enough. Do one end, put in the popcorn erc and the do the bottom, with maybe a hole in the bottom card and tabs cut into the handle to fix it in.

My kid experience with paper mache was just a messy mush,so I hope kids can learn from this and do their own variations.
I like this video
Thanks!

Thanks. Will pitch this project to my daughter and if she needs more encouragement I might try to make one or two on my own. :)
@@ThatWord did you do it with her ?
Is the glue you are using similar to LePages?
Not sure. It is PVA, which is water soluble and often used for safe craft in schools etc.
