- This is how I like to sew a patch onto a beanie, I also use this method for adding patches to knit and crochet coffee cup cozies!

Craft Bond Washable Glue (Tacky Glue)
Cotton Thread

Can you use any glue like school glue
I wouldn't use school glue, school glue is thinner than tacky glue and I think it would absorb more into the yarn making it likely that while the patch is drying it could move. Tacky yarn will sit on top of the yarn making a better bond with the patch and the yarn while it is drying. I hope that makes sense.
What kind of material are the patches made of?
