Wise choice with using the 80 right off the bat

If you don't mind me asking, but what did you do to get knock sensors in?
The transmission shouldve gone in first before the headers. You can get to the bell housing bolts easier up top with them out.
Remind why the need for conversion flex plate?
4L80E converter has a different bolt pattern than the 4L70E that comes in a TBSS. So you need the appropriate flex plate for the 4L80E.
What did you do for the cross member for the c6 oil pan . modified the stock one or aftermarket? Thanks!
