It's a good video with lots of details about the follow-through. It would have been more facilitating if we had started our journey through impact (P-7) and impact preset position and moved onto P-8-9 and 10.
Timely stuff, cheers. Struggled today with feeling like my arms were too active, muscling the ball, not knowing exactly how passive I should be making the arms.
With this body release how do you not feel like you are going to hit a push or cut? Do you have any other videos in this vein but that dive more into the release? Love the content!
I've got loads of videos on the release, you can find them by going to my channel and searching 'release'. Here is a recent one I did: ruclips.net/video/MyeplCBIIQY/видео.html
The worse thing I ever did with my son's golf future, was give him a lesson. I'm a 5 handicapper, and thought I'd show him all I knew, and then he'd progress from there. He did, he's basically scratch. But he had so much more talent than that. My idiotic theories on hand path, club down the line, the stability of the head etc...on and on...crap. Now, I'm 60, and realize how bad my swing actually has been all these years, but of course I cannot change my own too much. I still try though....and if anyone is listening to this, take your young one to a real teacher of this caliber, give him your $500 or so for a set of lessons, and it will be the best investment of your son'/daughter's golf future. 2c.
So Kerrod I would like to make something clear to you as an instructor. When you talk about not being aware of what your arms are doing and your arms are reacting to the engine of the body I want you to understand something as a student. For me when I think of not knowing what my arms are doing I think of my arms being completely limp! I think of them just swinging freely! Now in reality what that does to my swing is make my Ark over wide almost like my arms are overreaching away from me and I have no idea how to get them back into space where they're supposed to be. I just want to give you the perspective of a potential student because the arms need to be on a very clear path and the hands need to be on a very clear path so you saying you have no idea what they're doing doesn't help the average person because they need to know exactly what they're doing
Thanks for taking the time to express your feels however those are also equally just as individual to you as they would be to the next person who watches this and has a different pattern and historical concept of their swing. I hope you can appreciate these free sub 10 minute videos I put out are for the masses as a general feel/concept and not specifically addressing every single possible variation. If you would like something more specific to you please check out perform.golf or alternatively you can get an individual swing analysis from which I can then give you a very precise and specific online lesson.
THIS ! I have been taking lessons and my instructor used this very same drill, and now I have your video to listen to over and over again! Thank you!!
It's a fantastic drill, happy to help!

Have been struggling with arms taking over. Your insight here and tips will be used today. Thank you!
You are so welcome, MIke!
I've applied this to my swing for about a year now and has definitely helped my ball striking. So much straighter shots!
Great to hear! Keep it up!

best video for the hand path ever
Good teaching video. I'm guessing that this principle is same for the driver?
Question: Does the trail arm straighten merely as it follows the hands, or should the straightening actually power the swing through impact?
Good stuff mate.
Thank you, mate!
Excellent instruction. Thank you
You're welcome, Rich!
Does feel like the left wrist is unhinging back fully through the alignment stick when doing the drill

Dad?
Do I feel the same with the driver ?
Yes it does
@@kerrodgraygolf Thank you so much for your reply. Really need to work on exiting left. This really helps. Will keep on training!
Look how the women of WLD warm up - that should give you the swing feel while tilting through impact & follow thru
