@Porzak Golf I just wanna say, that watching some of your videos, especially the take-back drills and hip bump/pivot around keeping buttocks back and not popping out. These videos NOTICEABLY improved my results in the past two practice days. I've been hitting more pure shots and now my 7i is going easily 165+ yards straight with slight fade. Today I hit 10 driver shots in a row all straight and in play. I've NEVER had this level of success before. Your videos, as well as several others have really helped me refine things. Now my challenge is to adjust and get the right feel between shorter clubs and longer clubs(esp. lighter longer rescue clubs) and slight adjust accordingly. Need to build consistency, feel and confidence around these changes.
So love all the tips and drills………but when your humor/personality just flow in so naturally……so much fun as the viewer! You’re different than the thousands of other utube instructors………in so many goods ways!! Keep up the great work. Know so many of us are benefiting from these videos.
Thank you! We truly love what we do and when you love what you do you never work a day in your life! We get to make people better and have a great time doing it!
Great video, this is exactly my problem. I felt like I had to be speeding my wrist at the bottom of the swing and this breakdown causes havoc by not allowing the hands to finish. Gold!! Thank you so much. You need to come to Canada.
I am a new student of your videos , great job and so far it's really helping my game . I am a young 75 I look forward to all of your videos . The young guys have more rotation then I do but knowing my limits I can enjoy the game much more. Ross
This to me looks like a section of the impact that I've completely missed....I'm off to the range tonight so......!!! New swing thought Many thanks Dave G
This is definitely an element to the game that a lot of people over look! But we are glad that we could help you out Dave! Get out there and start grinding it out!
Dear Teacher From Brazil to Porzak Golf. I am brazilian, I live in Brazil and I have difficulties with English language. Forgive the text. I always the follows the videos. Very good presentation, great teaching. Roberto
I love your videos. I have watched many of them, over and over. I must be dense or completely unco-ordinated because now I am face shanking every iron, every shot. I think I am up to 100 shots in a row. I don’t even want to play golf anymore. I can hit my hybrids, fairway wood and driver fairly well. The irons are just killing me. What can I do?
Great video I definitely noticed when I try a knockdown shot the ball goes a lot further I could really benefit by just sitting on a range and hit buckets and buckets of knockdown shots
I've been rebuilding my swing this year and the last two things I'm really fighting/struggling with is getting those hands ahead of the ball and hinging wrists at the right point (I'm still a little early...better than I was, but still...) and pulling the left hip back instead of a slight early extension on the right hip. Luckily, I have a CLEAR indicator when I'm not doing it because I dump the club into the ground and hit a fat toe shot. Problem is happens WAY more than I want lol.
Hey there! The towel drill is amazing to promote connection but sometimes it does not simulate the real swing and can be restrictive to the golfer. We personally use a head cover (i.e. hybrid cover) and stick it in under the front part of the arm pit. Either the trail or lead arm. Try this out and let us know what you think!
i've been playing for 3 months, and your hip bump tip changed the consistency of my shots. Broke 100 in under 2 months, but to get below 90's requires consistency in impact. tx for all ur help so far.
I really love your videos, very interesting stuff and great lessons. Now my question, what to do for middle aged golfers 55+ who never learned how to rotate thru the ball? At a certain age it's not that easy or even impossible to rotate thru like most of your pretty young students do - any hint for us old guys? Many thanks and keep on going! Cheers, Thomas
Open your left foot (for a right-handed golfer) a bit, it will allow you to rotate through easier. The goal is to get your belt buckle at the target when you finish your swing. You can do it, I'm that age as well and I do.
Great question! The number one priority for an older golfers to make sure they’re setting up to promote a big body turn from there it’s all that just turning left pocket behind you as you turn through the golf ball!
This is more for younger players who can really rotate through and more of a body swing, I’ve heard a lot of talk from guys like Mike Malaska saying it’s all about hand speed and a throwing of the club. The hands can move a lot faster than the body and body turn is a result of the hands pulling through. Yes the body and hands have to work together, right hip back, left hip back…..I never hear you talk about hand release, this holding on through impact seems very stiff or maybe it’s just a drill, at what point are you releasing the club?
Hey David! Yes the feel should be the same. The only thing that should change is how you set up to the ball at address. Take a look at some of our driver set up videos on our channel to make sure you’re dialed in!
This is exactly my issue. His right knee collapses on the DS like me. I'm a good player but I'm releasing or flipping too soon after impact and I CANNOT fix it.
No, the three-quarter finish that you see on to her is a result of the arms getting in front of the bodies rotation, it naturally finishes there, When the body is in front of the arms the club will come around loose and late…. If they want to hit it high they will have the club in front of their body and they were also swing the club to their back
Love the Channel. Learning a ton. Any chance you have done or can do a video on irons off the tee? I find I tee up on the 180-190 3 par shots; but for some reason I lean back and try to lift the ball even though I tell myself not to. I think in my simple brain I can’t compress it off the tee. I feel like I should just play off the grass without a tee. I assume others must struggle with this mindset. Your thoughts would be awesome to hear!
What did you mean by “it’s the angle you come into it”……….flatter?…steeper? Your student is also talking about both steep and shallow in the same swing!!! I’m confused. 😳😳🙂
Hey Z H! There are only a few instances where Tiger says he "releases" the club earlier in the swing (i.e. bunkers or intentional slice). This is a feel for him, but when you look at footage of him in slow motion Tiger's hands are a great example of having shaft lean and the handle forward. Every golfer will benefit from having the proper amount of shaft lean in order to compress the ball and hit it further. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel Z H! 🙌

I worked on this today. Compressed the ball much better and ball flight was glorious. Thanks for this.

Bro same lol I hit a decent shot every now and then. I hate but love this game so much.
Are you still selling the “Straight Putt No Matter What” putting aid?
If so I want to buy it.
Hey Jay! We are currently modifying our websites store but once it is finished SPNMW, hats, head covers and more will be available for y’all! 🏌️⛳️
This is a very valuable video for me, thank you very very much. That is an awesome video.
Thank you for watching!
Mr. Porzak, I’ve been battling the blocks for a year. Do you have any vids on that?
Great teaching, communicating and presentation porz!…..luv your videos 👍
Thanks so much Tyson! 🙌🏽

Take some halfbackswings and pause and hit it as hard as you can
@@PorzakGolf hopefully you start doing online lessons again so I can work with you to sort it out :)

Hit hard stop quick is definitely a great drill for impact.
Love it!

Sorry about that
Underrated. Period.

That drill is technically Tommy Fleetwoods real swing
Yep and doing that Drill he was hitting it better on the range so he made it his permanent swing

But what about guys like tiger woods who really release those wrists before impact? Is that because his swing is entirely different?
Yes lol no one is Tiger
@@TheBooze13 Lol! yeah. And I commented mid-video. just saw what adam is referring to at around the 7:00 mark. That's what's important.

What about fairway woods and rescues hand position thru impact? Thanks
Why do you really care what happens after impact as long as you feel safe getting there?
It’s a sign of what happened before
@@PorzakGolf isn't what happened before what you want to change? Yes, of course. Maybe thinking of a finish position is a good thing?
I see hands flipping…. To much perfect timing for me.
