I didn’t even know there was a music siren on top of city hall. Why was it deactivated? I don’t know their plans. I don’t live in Kishiwada just took a little trip.
@@christianisabroad in 2011, Yamaha stopped repairs of music sirens, and even earlier than that, they stopped selling music sirens. then, in 2013, the Kishiwada Music Siren stopped playing. no one knows why, but i think it's because they couldn't risk their music siren breaking down. there are still other music sirens around, like a 1st generation atop the Iga City Hall, and a 2nd generation atop the Okayama prefectural government office. you can even listen to the Kishiwada siren! 6AM (Morning): ruclips.net/video/b33F5W7k_Rk/видео.html 12 PM (Shoes Ring): ruclips.net/video/ukdCozEcJ28/видео.html 12 PM (KImigayo, played on holidays): ruclips.net/video/D_JrJo4Wcps/видео.html 6PM (Kojo no Tsuki): ruclips.net/video/3r5UVtZ5ze0/видео.html
@@christianisabroad hey actually, speaking of music sirens, you can even find one behind the Uwajima castle! it's actually even being repaired, so this is the perfect time to view it! in its normal state, it's usually in a wooden box. (it's actually been temporarily replaced by a speaker array next to it, but it uses the audio from the music siren! usually you can hear it at 12PM, tonbi, and 6PM, Furusato)
i'm gonna be honest, i was just looking at this video to see the music siren on the roof of the city hall
do they plan to reactivate it?
